Genesis 46
1 And Israel journeyeth, and all that he hath, and cometh in to Beer-Sheba, and sacrificeth sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac;
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Isiraeli akiumagara na indo ciothe iria aarĩ nacio, na aakinya Birishiba-rĩ, akĩrutĩra Ngai wa ithe Isaaka magongona.
2 and God speaketh to Israel in visions of the night, and saith, 'Jacob, Jacob;' and he saith, 'Here [am] I.'
Nake Ngai akĩarĩria Isiraeli na kĩoneki ũtukũ, akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Jakubu! Jakubu!” Nake agĩcookia atĩrĩ, “Niĩ ũyũ haha.”
3 And He saith, 'I [am] God, God of thy father, be not afraid of going down to Egypt, for for a great nation I set thee there;
Ngai akiuga atĩrĩ, “Nĩ niĩ Ngai, Ngai wa thoguo. Ndũgetigĩre gũikũrũka ũthiĩ Misiri, tondũ nĩngagũtua rũrĩrĩ rũnene mũno kũu.
4 I — I go down with thee to Egypt, and I — I also certainly bring thee up, and Joseph doth put his hand on thine eyes.'
O na nĩngũikũrũkania nawe kũu Misiri, na ti-itherũ nĩ ngagũcookia gũkũ rĩngĩ. Nakuo guoko kwa Jusufu kuo kwene nĩkuo gũgaakũhinga maitho wakua.”
5 And Jacob riseth from Beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel bear away Jacob their father, And their infants, and their wives, in the waggons which Pharaoh hath sent to bear him,
Hĩndĩ ĩyo Jakubu akiuma Birishiba, nao ariũ a Isiraeli magĩkuua ithe wao Jakubu na ciana ciao na atumia ao na makaari marĩa Firaũni aatũmĩte ma kũmũkuua.
6 and they take their cattle, and their goods which they have acquired in the land of Canaan, and come into Egypt — Jacob, and all his seed with him,

7 his sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, yea, all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.
Aathiire Misiri na ariũ ake na tũmwana twa ariũ ake, agĩthiĩ na airĩtu ake na tũirĩtu twa airĩtu ake, ũguo nĩ kuuga rũciaro rwake ruothe.
8 And these [are] the names of the sons of Israel who are coming into Egypt: Jacob and his sons, Jacob's first-born, Reuben.
Maya nĩmo marĩĩtwa ma ariũ a Isiraeli (Jakubu na njiaro ciake) arĩa maathiire Misiri: Rubeni irigithathi rĩa Jakubu.
9 And sons of Reuben: Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
Ariũ a Rubeni maarĩ: Hanoku, na Palu, na Hezironi, na Karimi.
10 And sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanitess.
Ariũ a Simeoni maarĩ: Jemueli, na Jamini, na Ohadi, na Jakini, na Zoharu, na Shauli mũrũ wa mũtumia ũrĩa Mũkaanani.
11 And sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Ariũ a Lawi maarĩ: Gerishoni, na Kohathu, na Merari.
12 And sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zarah, (and Er and Onan die in the land of Canaan.) And sons of Pharez are Hezron and Hamul.
Ariũ a Juda maarĩ: Eri, na Onani, na Shela, na Perezu, na Zera (no Eri na Onani nĩmakuĩrĩire bũrũri wa Kaanani.) Nao ariũ a Perezu maarĩ: Hezironi na Hamuli.
13 And sons of Issachar: Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
Ariũ a Isakaru maarĩ: Tola, na Puya, na Jashubu, na Shimuroni.
14 And sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
Ariũ a Zebuluni maarĩ: Seredi, na Eloni, na Jahaleeli.
15 These [are] sons of Leah whom she bare to Jacob in Padan-Aram, and Dinah his daughter; all the persons of his sons and his daughters [are] thirty and three.
Acio nĩo ariũ arĩa Lea aaciarĩire Jakubu kũu Padani-Aramu, hamwe na mwarĩ Dina. Ariũ acio na airĩtu ake othe maarĩ mĩrongo ĩtatũ na atatũ.
16 And sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
Ariũ a Gadi maarĩ: Zifioni, na Hagi, na Shuni, na Eziboni, na Eri, na Arodi, na Areli.
17 And sons of Asher: Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister. And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
Nao Ariũ a Asheri maarĩ: Imuna, na Ishiva, na Ishivi, na Beria. Mwarĩ wa nyina aarĩ Sera. Ariũ a Beria maarĩ: Heberi na Malikieli.
18 These [are] sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and she beareth these to Jacob — sixteen persons.
Icio nĩcio ciana iria ciaciarĩirwo Jakubu nĩ Zilipa, ũrĩa Labani aaheete mwarĩ Lea; ciothe ciarĩ ciana ikũmi na ithathatũ.
19 Sons of Rachel, Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
Ariũ a Rakeli mũtumia wa Jakubu maarĩ: Jusufu na Benjamini.
20 And born to Joseph in the land of Egypt (whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, hath borne to him) [are] Manasseh and Ephraim.
Nake Jusufu arĩ kũu Misiri, nĩaciarĩirwo Manase na Efiraimu nĩ Asenathu mwarĩ wa Potifera, mũthĩnjĩri-ngai wa Onu.
21 And sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
Nao ariũ a Benjamini maarĩ: Bela, na Bekeri, na Ashibeli, na Gera, na Naamani, na Ehi, na Roshu, na Mupimu, na Hupimu, na Aradi.
22 These [are] sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the persons [are] fourteen.
Acio nĩo ariũ a Rakeli arĩa maaciarĩirwo Jakubu othe maarĩ andũ ikũmi na ana.
23 And sons of Dan: Hushim.
Mũriũ wa Dani aarĩ: Hushimu.
24 And sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
Nao Ariũ a Nafitali maarĩ: Jahazeeli, na Guni, na Jezeri, na Shilemu.
25 These [are] sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter; and she beareth these to Jacob — all the persons [are] seven.
Acio nĩo ariũ arĩa maaciarĩirwo Jakubu nĩ Biliha ũrĩa Labani aaheete mwarĩ Rakeli, othe maarĩ mũgwanja.
26 All the persons who are coming to Jacob to Egypt, coming out of his thigh, apart from the wives of Jacob's sons, all the persons [are] sixty and six.
Andũ othe arĩa maathiire na Jakubu Misiri, arĩa maarĩ a njiaro ciake tũtegũtara atumia a ariũ ake, maarĩ andũ mĩrongo ĩtandatũ na atandatũ.
27 And the sons of Joseph who have been born to him in Egypt [are] two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who are coming into Egypt [are] seventy.
Hamwe na ariũ arĩa eerĩ a Jusufu arĩa aaciarĩire Misiri, andũ a nyũmba ya Jakubu arĩa maathiire Misiri maarĩ mĩrongo mũgwanja.
28 And Judah he hath sent before him unto Joseph, to direct before him to Goshen, and they come into the land of Goshen;
Nake Jakubu agĩtũma Juda athiĩ mbere yake kũrĩ Jusufu nĩgeetha athĩrĩrwo njĩra ya gũthiĩ Gosheni. Rĩrĩa maakinyire bũrũri wa Gosheni,
29 and Joseph harnesseth his chariot, and goeth up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and appeareth unto him, and falleth on his neck, and weepeth on his neck again;
Jusufu akĩhaarĩria ngaari yake ya mbarathi, na agĩthiĩ Gosheni gũtũnga ithe Isiraeli. Na Jusufu aakinya o ũguo harĩ ithe, akĩmũhĩmbĩria na akĩrĩra ihinda inene.
30 and Israel saith unto Joseph, 'Let me die this time, after my seeing thy face, for thou [art] yet alive.'
Nake Isiraeli akĩĩra Jusufu atĩrĩ, “Rĩu no ngĩkue, kuona atĩ nĩndeyonera niĩ mwene atĩ ũrĩ o muoyo.”
31 And Joseph saith unto his brethren, and unto the house of his father, 'I go up, and declare to Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and the house of my father who [are] in the land of Canaan have come in unto me;
Hĩndĩ ĩyo Jusufu akĩĩra ariũ a ithe na andũ a nyũmba ya ithe atĩrĩ, Nĩngwambata thiĩ njarie na Firaũni, ndĩmwĩre atĩrĩ, Ariũ a baba, na nyũmba ya baba, arĩa maratũũraga bũrũri wa Kaanani, nĩmokĩte kũrĩ niĩ.
32 and the men [are] feeders of a flock, for they have been men of cattle; and their flock, and their herd, and all that they have, they have brought.'
Andũ acio nĩ arĩithi; marĩithagia mahiũ, na mokĩte na ndũũru ciao cia mbũri na cia ngʼombe, na indo ciothe ciao.
33 'And it hath come to pass when Pharaoh calleth for you, and hath said, What [are] your works?
Na rĩrĩa Firaũni arĩmwĩta na amũũrie atĩrĩ, “Inyuĩ mũrutaga wĩra ũrĩkũ?”
34 that ye have said, Thy servants have been men of cattle from our youth, even until now, both we and our fathers, — in order that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen, for the abomination of the Egyptians is every one feeding a flock.'
mwagĩrĩirwo mũmũcookerie atĩrĩ, “Ithuĩ ndungata ciaku tũtũũraga tũrĩithagia mahiũ kuuma ũnini witũ, o ta ũrĩa maithe maitũ meekaga.” Hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩmũgetĩkĩrio mũtũũre mwena wa Gosheni, tondũ arĩithi othe moonagwo marĩ thaahu nĩ andũ a Misiri.
