Deuteronomy 15
1 'At the end of seven years thou dost make a release,
ஏழாம் வருடத்தின் முடிவிலே கடன்களை ரத்துச்செய்யுங்கள்.
2 and this [is] the matter of the release: Every owner of a loan [is] to release his hand which he doth lift up against his neighbour, he doth not exact of his neighbour and of his brother, but hath proclaimed a release to Jehovah;
நீங்கள் செய்யவேண்டிய விதம் இதுவே: கடன்களை ரத்துச்செய்வதற்கான யெகோவாவின் வேளை அறிவிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதால், தன் சகோதர இஸ்ரயேலனுக்கு கடன்கொடுத்த எவனும், அந்தக்கடனை தள்ளுபடிசெய்யவேண்டும். அவன் அந்த இஸ்ரயேலனிடமிருந்தோ அல்லது சகோதரனிடமிருந்தோ கடனைத் திருப்பித்தரும்படி கேட்கக்கூடாது.
3 of the stranger thou mayest exact, and that which is thine with thy brother doth thy hand release;
அந்நியனிடமிருந்து கடனைத் தரும்படி நீங்கள் கேட்கலாம். ஆனால் உங்கள் சகோதரன் உங்களுக்குத் தரவேண்டிய கடனை நீங்கள் ரத்துச்செய்யவேண்டும்.
4 only when there is no needy one with thee, for Jehovah doth greatly bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee — an inheritance to possess it.
உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களுக்கு உரிமையாகக் கொடுக்கும் நாட்டிலே, உங்களை நிறைவாய் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். அதனால் உங்கள் மத்தியில் ஏழைகள் இருக்கக்கூடாது.
5 'Only, if thou dost diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, to observe to do all this command which I am commanding thee to-day,
நீங்கள் உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு முற்றிலும் கீழ்படிந்து, இன்று நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கும் இந்த எல்லா கட்டளைகளையும் பின்பற்றக் கவனமாய் இருந்தால்மட்டுமே, அப்படி ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.
6 for Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee as He hath spoken to thee; and thou hast lent [to] many nations, and thou hast not borrowed; and thou hast ruled over many nations, and over thee they do not rule.
உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களுக்கு வாக்குக் கொடுத்தபடி உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். அதனால் நீங்கள் பல நாடுகளுக்குக் கடன்கொடுப்பீர்கள். நீங்களோ ஒருவரிடமிருந்தும் கடன் வாங்கமாட்டீர்கள். நீங்கள் நாடுகளை ஆளுவீர்கள். ஆனால் உங்களை ஒருவரும் ஆளமாட்டார்கள்.
7 'When there is with thee any needy one of one of thy brethren, in one of thy cities, in thy land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, thou dost not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy needy brother;
உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கும் நாட்டிலுள்ள பட்டணங்கள் ஒன்றில், உங்கள் சகோதரருக்குள் ஏழை ஒருவன் இருந்தால், அந்த ஏழைச் சகோதரனிடத்தில் இருதயக் கடினத்துடனோ, சுயதன்மையுடனோ நடந்துகொள்ளாதீர்கள்.
8 for thou dost certainly open thy hand to him, and dost certainly lend him sufficient for his lack which he lacketh.
அவனுடைய தேவைகளுக்கேற்றபடி தாராள மனதுடன் போதிய அளவு கடன்கொடுங்கள்.
9 'Take heed to thee lest there be a word in thy heart — worthless, saying, Near [is] the seventh year, the year of release; and thine eye is evil against thy needy brother, and thou dost not give to him, and he hath called concerning thee unto Jehovah, and it hath been in thee sin;
விடுதலை வருடமாகிய ஏழாம் வருடம் நெருங்கிவிட்டதனால் தேவையுள்ள சகோதரனுக்குக் கரிசனை காட்டாமலும், ஒன்றும் கொடுக்காமலும் விடவேண்டாம். அப்படியான கொடிய எண்ணம் உங்களுக்கு வராதபடி கவனமாய் இருங்கள். ஏனெனில், அவன் யெகோவாவிடம் உங்களுக்கு எதிராக முறையிடும்பொழுது நீங்கள் பாவம் செய்த குற்றவாளிகளாகக் கணிக்கப்படுவீர்கள்.
10 thou dost certainly give to him, and thy heart is not sad in thy giving to him, for because of this thing doth Jehovah thy God bless thee in all thy works, and in every putting forth of thy hand;
மனம்கோணாமல் அவனுக்குத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுங்கள். அப்பொழுது இதன் நிமித்தம் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா, உங்கள் முயற்சிகள் யாவற்றையும் நீங்கள் கையிட்டுசெய்யும் எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.
11 because the needy one doth not cease out of the land, therefore I am commanding thee, saying, Thou dost certainly open thy hand to thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy one, in thy land.
நாட்டிலே எக்காலத்திலும் ஏழைகள் இருப்பார்கள். ஆகையால் உங்கள் நாட்டிலுள்ள உங்கள் சகோதரருக்கும், ஏழைகளுக்கும், வறியவர்களுக்கும் தாராள மனதுடன் கொடுக்கும்படி நான் உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்.
12 'When thy brother is sold to thee, a Hebrew or a Hebrewess, and he hath served thee six years — then in the seventh year thou dost send him away free from thee.
உங்களைச் சேர்ந்த எபிரெய ஆணோ, பெண்ணோ தன்னை உங்களிடத்தில் விற்று, ஆறு வருடங்கள் உங்களுக்கு வேலைசெய்தால், ஏழாம் வருடம் நீங்கள் அவனை விடுதலையாக்கி போகவிடவேண்டும்.
13 And when thou dost send him away free from thee, thou dost not send him away empty;
அவனை விடுதலையாக்கி அனுப்பும்போது, வெறுங்கையோடு அனுப்பவேண்டாம்.
14 thou dost certainly encircle him out of thy flock, and out of thy threshing-floor, and out of thy wine-vat; [of] that which Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee thou dost give to him,
உங்கள் மந்தையிலும், உங்கள் சூடடிக்கும் களத்திலும், உங்கள் திராட்சை ஆலையிலும் இருந்து எடுத்துத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுத்து அனுப்புங்கள். உங்களுடைய இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த ஆசீர்வாதத்தின்படி அவனுக்குக்கொடுங்கள்.
15 and thou hast remembered that a servant thou hast been in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God doth ransom thee; therefore I am commanding thee this thing to-day.
நீங்கள் எகிப்திலே அடிமையாய் இருந்ததையும், உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களை மீட்டதையும் நினைவுகூருங்கள். ஆகவேதான் நான் இன்று இந்த கட்டளையை உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன்.
16 'And it hath been, when he saith unto thee, I go not out from thee — because he hath loved thee, and thy house, because [it is] good for him with thee —
உங்களுடைய அடிமை ஒருவன் உங்கள்மீதும், உங்கள் குடும்பத்தின்மீதும் அன்பு வைத்ததினாலும், உங்களோடு நலமாய் இருப்பதினாலும், “நான் உங்களைவிட்டுப்போக விரும்பவில்லை” என்று உங்களிடம் சொன்னால்,
17 then thou hast taken the awl, and hast put [it] through his ear, and through the door, and he hath been to thee a servant age-during; and also to thy handmaid thou dost do so.
நீங்கள் குத்தூசி ஒன்றை எடுத்து அவன் காது மடலைக் கதவோடு வைத்துக் குத்துங்கள். அதன்பின் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் அவன் உங்களுக்கு அடிமையாயிருப்பான். அடிமைப்பெண்ணுக்கும் அப்படியே செய்யுங்கள்.
18 'It is not hard in thine eyes, in thy sending him away free from thee; for the double of the hire of an hireling he hath served thee six years, and Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee in all that thou dost.
ஒரு அடிமையை விடுதலையாக்குவதை கஷ்டமான செயலாக எண்ணவேண்டாம். ஏனெனில் அவன் ஆறு வருடங்களில் செய்த வேலை கூலி வேலைசெய்யும் ஒருவனைவிட இருமடங்கு மதிப்புடையது. உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா நீங்கள் செய்யும் யாவற்றிலும் உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.
19 'Every firstling that is born in thy herd and in thy flock — the male thou dost sanctify to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not work with the firstling of thine ox, nor shear the firstling of thy flock;
உங்கள் ஆட்டு மந்தைகளிலும் மாட்டு மந்தைகளிலும் ஆண் தலையீற்றுகளை உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்காக வேறுபிரித்து வையுங்கள். உங்கள் மாட்டின் தலையீற்றை வேலைக்கு பயன்படுத்த வேண்டாம். செம்மறியாட்டின் தலையீற்றின் மயிரைக் கத்தரிக்கவும்வேண்டாம்.
20 before Jehovah thy God thou dost eat it year by year, in the place which Jehovah doth choose, thou and thy house.
நீங்களும் உங்கள் குடும்பத்தாரும் வருடந்தோறும் உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா தமக்கென்று தெரிந்தெடுக்கும் இடத்தில் அவருக்கு முன்பாக அவற்றைச் சாப்பிடுங்கள்.
21 'And when there is in it a blemish, lame, or blind, any evil blemish, thou dost not sacrifice it to Jehovah thy God;
ஆனால் ஒரு மிருகம் குறைபாடுள்ளதாகவோ, முடமாகவோ, குருடாகவோ கடுஞ் சேதமுற்றதாகவோ இருந்தால், அவற்றை உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குப் பலியிடாதீர்கள்.
22 within thy gates thou dost eat it, the unclean and the clean alike, as the roe, and as the hart.
நீங்கள் அப்படிப்பட்டவைகளை உங்கள் பட்டணங்களிலேயே சாப்பிடவேண்டும். சம்பிரதாயப்படி அசுத்தமானவர்களும் சுத்தமானவர்களும், வெளிமானையோ கலைமானையோ சாப்பிடுவதுபோல் அவற்றைச் சாப்பிடலாம்.
23 Only, its blood thou dost not eat; on the earth thou dost pour it as water.
ஆனால் இரத்தத்தை நீங்கள் சாப்பிடவேண்டாம்; அதைத் தண்ணீரைப்போல தரையில் ஊற்றவேண்டும்.
