Psalms 95
1 Come ye, make we ful out ioie to the Lord; hertli synge we to God, oure heelthe.
Venez, chantons à l'Éternel; jetons des cris de joie au rocher de notre salut.
2 Bifore ocupie we his face in knowleching; and hertli synge we to him in salmes.
Présentons-nous à lui avec des louanges; offrons-lui nos joyeux cantiques.
3 For God is a greet Lord, and a greet king aboue alle goddis; for the Lord schal not putte awei his puple.
Car l'Éternel est un Dieu grand, il est un grand roi au-dessus de tous les dieux.
4 For alle the endis of erthe ben in his hond; and the hiynesses of hillis ben hise.
C'est en sa main que sont les abîmes de la terre; à lui sont les sommets des montagnes.
5 For the see is his, and he made it; and hise hondis formeden the drie lond.
A lui appartient la mer, car il l'a faite, et ses mains ont formé la terre.
6 Come ye, herie we, and falle we doun bifore God, wepe we bifore the Lord that made vs;
Venez, prosternons-nous, inclinons-nous; fléchissons les genoux devant l'Éternel qui nous a faits.
7 for he is oure Lord God. And we ben the puple of his lesewe; and the scheep of his hond.
Car il est notre Dieu, nous sommes le peuple qu'il fait paître et les brebis qu'il conduit.
8 If ye han herd his vois to dai; nyle ye make hard youre hertis.
Aujourd'hui, si vous entendez sa voix, n'endurcissez pas votre cœur comme à Mériba (Querelle), comme au jour de Massa (Tentation), dans le désert,
9 As in the terryng to wraththe; bi the dai of temptacioun in desert. Where youre fadris temptiden me; thei preueden and sien my werkis.
Où vos pères m'ont tenté et m'ont éprouvé, où ils ont aussi vu mes œuvres.
10 Fourti yeer I was offendid to this generacioun; and Y seide, Euere thei erren in herte.
Pendant quarante ans j'eus cette génération en dégoût, et je dis: C'est un peuple dont le cœur s'égare; ils n'ont point connu mes voies.
11 And these men knewen not my weies; to whiche Y swoor in myn ire, thei schulen not entre in to my reste.
Aussi je l'ai juré dans ma colère: S'ils entrent dans mon repos!
