Psalms 55
1 `In Ebreu thus, To victorie in orguns, the lernyng of Dauid. `In Jeroms translacioun thus, To the ouercomer in salmes of Dauid lernid. God, here thou my preier, and dispise thou not my biseching;
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; તારવાળાં વાજાં સાથે ગાવાને. દાઉદનું માસ્કીલ. હે ઈશ્વર, મારી પ્રાર્થના સાંભળવાને તમારા કાન ધરો; અને મારી વિનંતિ સાંભળવાથી સંતાઈ ન જાઓ.
2 yyue thou tent to me, and here thou me. I am sorewful in myn exercising; and Y am disturblid of the face of the enemye,
૨મારી વાત પર ધ્યાન આપીને મને ઉત્તર આપો; હું શોકને કારણે અશાંત છું અને વિલાપ કરું છું.
3 and of the tribulacioun of the synner. For thei bowiden wickidnessis in to me; and in ire thei weren diseseful to me.
૩દુશ્મનોના અવાજને લીધે અને દુષ્ટોના જુલમને લીધે, હું વિલાપ કરું છું; કેમ કે તેઓ મારા પર અન્યાય કરવાનો દોષ મૂકે છે અને ક્રોધથી મને સતાવે છે.
4 Myn herte was disturblid in me; and the drede of deth felde on me.
૪મારા હૃદયમાં મને ઘણી વેદના થાય છે અને મૃત્યુનો ભય મારા પર આવી પડ્યો છે.
5 Drede and trembling camen on me; and derknessis hiliden me.
૫મને ત્રાસથી ધ્રૂજારી આવે છે અને ભયથી ઘેરાયેલો છું.
6 And Y seide, Who schal yyue to me fetheris, as of a culuer; and Y schal fle, and schal take rest?
૬મેં કહ્યું, “જો મને કબૂતરની જેમ પાંખ હોત, તો કેવું સારું! તો હું દૂર ઊડી જઈને વિશ્રામ લેત.
7 Lo! Y yede fer awei, and fledde; and Y dwellide in wildirnesse.
૭હું અરણ્યમાં દૂર સુધી ઊડી જાત અને ત્યાં મુકામ કરત. (સેલાહ)
8 I abood hym, that made me saaf fro the litilnesse, `ether drede, of spirit; and fro tempest.
૮પવનના સુસવાટાથી તથા તોફાનથી નાસીને ઉતાવળે આશ્રયસ્થાને જઈ પહોંચત.”
9 Lord, caste thou doun, departe thou the tungis of hem; for Y siy wickidnesse and ayenseiyng in the citee.
૯હે પ્રભુ, તેઓનો નાશ કરો અને તેઓની ભાષાઓ બદલી નાખો, કેમ કે મેં નગરમાં બળાત્કાર તથા ઝઘડા જોયા છે.
10 Bi dai and nyyt wickidnesse schal cumpasse it on the wallis therof;
૧૦તેઓ રાતદિવસ તેના કોટ પર આંટા મારે છે; અને તેની મધ્યે દુષ્ટતા તથા હાનિ ચાલુ રહી છે.
11 and trauel and vnriytfulnesse ben in the myddis therof. And vsure and gile failide not; fro the stretis therof.
૧૧તેની વચ્ચે બૂરાઈ છે; જુલમ તથા ઠગાઈ તેના રસ્તા પરથી ખસતાં નથી.
12 For if myn enemye hadde cursid me; sotheli Y hadde suffride. And if he, that hatide me, hadde spoke greet thingis on me; in hap Y hadde hid me fro hym.
૧૨કેમ કે મને જે ઠપકો આપનારો હતો તે મારો શત્રુ ન હતો, એ તો મારાથી સહન કરી શકાત; મારી વિરુદ્ધ વડાઈ કરનારો તે મારો શત્રુ ન હતો, એવાથી તો હું સંતાઈ રહી શકત.
13 But thou art a man of o wille; my leeder, and my knowun.
૧૩પણ તે તું જ છે, તું જે મારા સરખો, મારો સાથી અને મારો ખાસ મિત્ર.
14 Which tokist togidere swete meetis with me; we yeden with consent in the hous of God.
૧૪આપણે એકબીજાની સાથે મીઠી સંગત કરતા હતા; આપણે જનસમુદાય સાથે ઈશ્વરના ઘરમાં જતા હતા.
15 Deth come on hem; and go thei doun quyk in to helle. For weiwardnessis ben in the dwelling places of hem; in the myddis of hem. (Sheol h7585)
૧૫એકાએક તેમના પર મોત આવી પડો; તેઓ જીવતા જ શેઓલમાં ઊતરી પડો, કેમ કે ભૂંડાઈ તેઓનાં ઘરોમાં, હા, તેઓનાં અંતરમાં છે. (Sheol h7585)
16 But Y criede to thee, Lord; and the Lord sauede me.
૧૬હું તો ઈશ્વરને પોકાર કરીશ અને યહોવાહ મારો બચાવ કરશે.
17 In the euentid and morewtid and in myddai Y schal telle, and schewe; and he schal here my vois.
૧૭હું મારા દુ: ખમાં સવારે, બપોરે અને સાંજે ઈશ્વરને ફરિયાદ કરીશ અને તે મારો અવાજ સાંભળશે.
18 He schal ayenbie my soule in pees fro hem, that neiyen to me; for among manye thei weren with me.
૧૮કોઈ મારી પાસે આવે નહિ, માટે તેમણે છોડાવીને મારા આત્માને શાંતિ આપી છે કેમ કે મારી સામે લડનારા ઘણા છે.
19 God schal here; and he that is bifore the worldis schal make hem low. For chaungyng is not to hem, and thei dredden not God;
૧૯ઈશ્વર જે અનાદિકાળથી ન્યાયાસન પર બિરાજમાન છે, તે તેઓને સાંભળશે અને જવાબ આપશે. (સેલાહ) જે માણસોમાં કંઈ ફેરફાર થતો નથી; તેઓ ઈશ્વરથી બીતા નથી.
20 he holdith forth his hoond in yelding. Thei defouliden his testament,
૨૦મારા મિત્રો કે જેઓ તેની સાથે સમાધાન રાખતા હતા તેણે તેમના પર હાથ ઉગામ્યો છે; તેણે પોતાનો કરેલો કરાર તોડ્યો છે.
21 the cheris therof weren departid fro ire; and his herte neiyede. The wordis therof weren softer than oyle; and tho ben dartis.
૨૧તેના મુખના શબ્દો માખણ જેવા સુંવાળા છે, પણ તેનું હૃદય યુદ્ધના વિચારોથી ભરેલું છે; તેના શબ્દો તેલ કરતાં વધારે મુલાયમ છે, પણ તે શબ્દો ખરેખર તલવારની જેમ કાપે છે.
22 Caste thi cure on the Lord, and he schal fulli nurische thee; and he schal not yyue with outen ende flotering to a iust man.
૨૨તમારી ચિંતાઓ યહોવાહને સોંપી દો અને તે તમને નિભાવી રાખશે; તે ક્યારેય ન્યાયી વ્યક્તિને પરાજિત થવા દેતા નથી.
23 But thou, God, schalt lede hem forth; in to the pit of deth. Menquelleris and gilours schulen not haue half her daies; but, Lord, Y schal hope in thee.
૨૩પણ, હે ઈશ્વર, તમે મારા શત્રુઓને વિનાશની ખાઈમાં ધકેલી દો છો; ખૂની કે કપટી પોતાનું અડધું આયુષ્ય પણ ભોગવી નથી શકતા, પણ હું તો તમારા પર ભરોસો રાખીશ.
