Psalms 33
1 Ye iust men, haue fulli ioye in the Lord; presyng togidere bicometh riytful men.
Weselcie się w PANU, sprawiedliwi, [bo] prawym przystoi chwała.
2 Knouleche ye to the Lord in an harpe; synge ye to hym in a sautre of ten strengis.
Wysławiajcie PANA na harfie, śpiewajcie mu przy cytrze [i] z instrumentem o dziesięciu strunach.
3 Synge ye to hym a newe song; seie ye wel salm to hym in criyng.
Śpiewajcie mu nową pieśń, pięknie i głośno mu grajcie.
4 For the word of the Lord is riytful; and alle hise werkis ben in feithfulnesse.
Słowo PANA bowiem [jest] prawe i wszystkie jego dzieła [są dokonane w] wierności.
5 He loueth merci and doom; the erthe is ful of the merci of the Lord.
On miłuje sprawiedliwość i sąd, pełna jest ziemia miłosierdzia PANA.
6 Heuenes ben maad stidfast bi the word of the Lord; and `al the vertu of tho bi the spirit of his mouth.
Słowem PANA zostały uczynione niebiosa i tchnieniem jego ust wszystkie ich zastępy.
7 And he gaderith togidere the watris of the see as in a bowge; and settith depe watris in tresours.
On gromadzi wody morskie jak na stos i w skarbcach zbiera głębiny.
8 Al erthe drede the Lord; sotheli alle men enhabitynge the world ben mouyd of hym.
Niech cała ziemia boi się PANA, niech się go lękają wszyscy mieszkańcy świata.
9 For he seide, and thingis weren maad; he comaundide, and thingis weren maad of nouyt.
On bowiem przemówił i stało się; on rozkazał i powstało.
10 The Lord distrieth the counsels of folkis, forsothe he repreueth the thouytis of puplis; and he repreueth the counsels of prynces.
PAN udaremnia zamiary narodów, niweczy zamysły ludów.
11 But the counsel of the Lord dwellith with outen ende; the thouytis of his herte dwellen in generacioun and into generacioun.
Zamiar PANA trwa na wieki, myśli jego serca z pokolenia na pokolenie.
12 Blessid is the folk, whose Lord is his God; the puple which he chees into eritage to hym silf.
Błogosławiony naród, którego Bogiem jest PAN; lud, który on wybrał sobie na dziedzictwo.
13 The Lord bihelde fro heuene; he siy alle the sones of men.
PAN patrzy z nieba, widzi wszystkich synów ludzkich.
14 Fro his dwellyng place maad redi bifor; he bihelde on alle men, that enhabiten the erthe.
Z miejsca, w którym przebywa, spogląda na wszystkich mieszkańców ziemi.
15 Which made syngulerli the soules of hem; which vndurstondith all the werkis of hem.
Ukształtował serce każdego z nich, przygląda się wszystkim ich czynom.
16 A kyng is not sauyd bi myche vertu; and a giaunt schal not be sauyd in the mychilnesse of his vertu.
Nie wybawi króla liczne wojsko [ani] nie ocali wojownika wielka siła.
17 An hors is false to helthe; forsothe he schal not be sauyd in the habundaunce, `ether plentee, of his vertu.
Koń jest zwodniczy w wybawieniu, nie ocali swą wielką siłą.
18 Lo! the iyen of the Lord ben on men dredynge hym; and in hem that hopen on his merci.
Oto oko PANA nad tymi, którzy się go boją, nad tymi, którzy ufają jego miłosierdziu;
19 That he delyuere her soules fro deth; and feede hem in hungur.
Aby ocalić od śmierci ich duszę i żywić ich w czasie głodu.
20 Oure soule suffreth the Lord; for he is oure helpere and defendere.
Nasza dusza oczekuje PANA, on [jest] naszą pomocą i tarczą.
21 For oure herte schal be glad in him; and we schulen haue hope in his hooli name.
W nim bowiem rozraduje się nasze serce, bo ufamy jego świętemu imieniu.
22 Lord, thi merci be maad on vs; as we hopiden in thee.
Niech będzie nad nami twoje miłosierdzie, PANIE, według pokładanej w tobie nadziei.
