Psalms 101

1 `The salm of Dauid. Lord, Y schal synge to thee; merci and doom.

Salmo di Davide IO canterò [un cantico] di benignità e di giudicio; Io te [lo] salmeggerò, o Signore.

2 I schal synge, and Y schal vndurstonde in a weie with out wem; whanne thou schalt come to me. I yede perfitli in the innocence of myn herte; in the myddil of myn hous.

Io comporrò una maestrevol canzone intorno alla via intiera. Quando verrai a me? Io camminerò nell'integrità del mio cuore Dentro alla mia casa.

3 I settide not forth bifore myn iyen an vniust thing; Y hatide hem that maden trespassyngis.

Io non mi proporrò davanti agli occhi cosa alcuna scellerata; Io odio i fatti degli sviati; [Niuno di essi] mi starà appresso.

4 A schrewide herte cleuede not to me; Y knewe not a wickid man bowynge awei fro me.

Il cuor perverso si dipartirà da me; Io non conoscerò il malvagio.

5 I pursuede hym; that bacbitide priueli his neiybore. With the proude iye and an herte vnable to be fillid; Y eet not with this.

Io sterminerò chi sparlerà in segreto contro al suo prossimo; Io non comporterò l'uomo con gli occhi altieri, E col cuor gonfio.

6 Myn iyen weren to the feithful men of erthe, that thei sitte with me; he that yede in a weie with out wem, mynystride to me.

Io avrò l'occhio sugli uomini leali della terra A ciò che dimorino meco; Chi cammina per la via intiera mi servirà.

7 He that doith pride, schal not dwelle in the myddil of myn hous; he that spekith wickid thingis, seruede not in the siyt of myn iyen.

Chi usa frode nelle sue opere non abiterà dentro alla mia casa; Chi parla menzogne non sarà stabilito davanti agli occhi miei.

8 In the morutid Y killide alle the synners of erthe; that Y schulde leese fro the citee of the Lord alle men worchynge wickidnesse.

Ogni mattina io distruggerò tutti gli empi del paese; Per isterminar dalla Città del Signore Tutti gli operatori d'iniquità.
