Numbers 6
1 And the Lord spak to Moises and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse, disant:
2 and thou schalt seie to hem, Whanne a man ether a womman makith auow, that thei be halewid, and thei wolen halewe hem silf to the Lord,
Parle aux fils d'Israël, et dis-leur: La femme ou l'homme qui aura fait généreusement le vœu de se consacrer au Seigneur et de rester pur,
3 thei schulen absteyne fro wyn and fro al thing that may make drunkun; thei schulen not drynke vynegre of wyn, and of ony other drynkyng, and what euer thing is pressid out of the grape; thei schulen not ete freisch grapis and drie,
S'abstiendra de vin et de boisson fermentée; ne boira ni vinaigre de vin, ni vinaigre de boisson fermentée; ne boira rien de ce qui se fait avec le raisin; ne mangera pas de raisin, soit frais cueilli, soit séché au soleil,
4 alle dayes in whiche thei ben halewid bi a vow to the Lord; thei schulen not ete what euer thing may be of the vyner, fro a grape dried `til to the draf.
Durant tous les jours du vœu; la personne vouée ne mangera rien de ce qui provient de la vigne ou du raisin, depuis le pépin jusqu'à la peau,
5 In al tyme of his departyng a rasour schal not passe on his heed, `til to the day fillid in which he is halewid to the Lord; he schal be hooli while the heer of his heed `schal wexe.
Durant tous les jours de la purification; elle ne se passera point le rasoir sur la tête jusqu'à la fin des jours qu'elle aura voués au Seigneur; elle sera sainte en laissant croître la chevelure de sa tête,
6 In al the tyme of his halewing he schal not entre on a deed bodi,
Durant tous les jours du vœu au Seigneur; elle ne s'approchera d'aucune créature morte.
7 and sotheli he schal not be defoulid on the deed bodi of fadir and of moder, of brothir and of sistir, for the halewyng of his God is on his heed;
Elle ne se souillera point à cause d'un père mort, ni d'une mère, ni d'un frère, ni d'une sœur, parce qu'elle aura sur soi-même et sur la tête le vœu à Dieu;
8 ech dai of his departyng schal be hooli to the Lord.
Durant tous les jours du vœu, elle sera sainte, consacrée au Seigneur.
9 But if ony man is deed sudeynly bifore hym, the heed of his halewyng schal be defoulid, which he schal schaue anoon in the same dai of his clensyng, and eft in the seuenthe dai;
Si quelqu'un tombe mort subitement auprès de la personne qui s'est vouée, son vœu en sera souillé, et elle se rasera la tête le jour même de sa purification; elle se rasera une seconde fois la tête le septième jour.
10 forsothe in the eiyte dai he schal offre twei turtlis, ether twei `briddis of a culuer, to the preest, in the entryng of the boond of pees of witnessyng.
Et le huitième, elle portera au prêtre deux tourterelles ou deux petits de colombes, devant la porte du tabernacle du témoignage.
11 And the preest schal make oon for synne, and the tothir in to brent sacrifice; and the preest schal preie for hym, for he synnede on a deed bodi, and he schal halewe his heed in that dai.
Et le prêtre en offrira un pour le péché, et l'autre pour l'holocauste; le prêtre intercèdera pour elle au sujet de la souillure que lui aura causée le mort, et il consacrera sa tête, en ce jour,
12 And he schal halewe to the Lord the daies of his departyng, and he schal offre a lomb of o yeer for synne, so netheles that the formere daies be maad voide, for his halewyng is defoulid.
Au Seigneur, pour toute la durée du vœu; et la personne offrira un agneau d'un an pour le délit; et les jours qui auront précédé ne lui seront pas comptés, parce que son vœu aura été souillé.
13 This is the lawe of consecracioun. Whanne the daies schulen be fillid, whiche he determynede by a vow, the preest schal brynge hym to the dore of the tabernacle of boond of pees, and schal offre his offryng to the Lord,
Telle est la loi des vœux; lorsque les jours du vœu seront accomplis, la personne présentera elle-même ses dons, devant la porte du tabernacle du témoignage;
14 a lomb of o yeer with out wem, in to brent sacrifice, and a scheep of o yeer with outen wem, for synne, and a ram with out wem, a pesible sacrifice;
Elle offrira au Seigneur un agneau d'un an sans tache pour l'holocauste, une brebis d'un an sans tache pour le péché, un bélier d'un an sans tache comme hostie pacifique,
15 also a panyere of theerf looues, that ben spreynt togidere with oile, and cakis sodun in watir, and aftir anoyntid with oile, with out sourdow, and fletyng sacrifices of alle bi hem silf;
Une corbeille d'azymes de fleur de farine, pétris dans l'huile, et des gâteaux azymes arroses d'huile, avec leur oblation et leur libation.
16 whiche the preest schal offre bifor the Lord, and schal make as wel for synne as in to brent sacrifice.
Le prêtre offrira ces dons au Seigneur, et il sacrifiera les victimes pour le péché et pour l'holocauste.
17 Sotheli he schal offre the ram a pesible sacrifice to the Lord, and he schal offre togidere a panyere of therf looues and fletyng sacryfices, that ben due bi custom.
Il offrira le bélier, comme hostie pacifique, au Seigneur, outre la corbeille d'azymes. Et le prêtre fera l'oblation et la libation.
18 Thanne the Nazarei schal be schauun fro the heer of his consecracioun, bifor the doore of the tabernacle of boond of pees; and the preest schal take hise heeris, and schal putte on the fier, which is put vndur the sacrifice of pesible thingis.
Alors, la personne vouée rasera, devant la porte du tabernacle du témoignage, sa tête vouée, et elle jettera sa chevelure dans le feu allumé sous l'hostie pacifique.
19 And he schal take the schuldur sodun of the ram, and o `cake of breed with out sourdow fro the panyere, and o theerf caak first sodun in watir and aftirward fried in oile, and he schal bitake in the hondis of the Nazarei, aftir that his heed is schauun.
Et le prêtre prendra l'épaule cuite du bélier, avec un pain azyme de la corbeille, et un gâteau azyme; il les mettra dans la main de la personne vouée, après qu'elle aura rasé sa tête vouée.
20 And the preest schal reise in the `siyt of the Lord the thingis takun eft of hym. And the thingis halewid schulen be the preestis part, as the brest which is comaundid to be departid, and the hipe. Aftir these thingis the Nasarey may drynke wyn.
Puis, le prêtre les déposera sur l'autel, comme part du Seigneur, et ce sera chose sainte; ce sera la poitrine mise à part, l'épaule réservée, appartenant au prêtre; après cela, la personne vouée pourra boire du vin.
21 This is the lawe of the Nasarei, whanne he hath avowyd his offryng to the Lord in the tyme of his consecracioun, outakun these thingis whiche his hond fyndith. By this that he avowide in soule, so he schal do, to the perfeccioun of his halewyng.
Telle est la loi de la personne qui fait un vœu et du présent qu'elle doit offrir au Seigneur à cette occasion, sans parler des dons que ses facultés lui permettent de faire, selon l'extension de son vœu, et conformément à la loi de consécration.
22 And the Lord spak to Moyses and seide,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse, disant:
23 Speke thou to Aaron and to hise sones, Thus ye schulen blesse the sones of Israel, and ye schulen seie to hem,
Parle à Aaron et à ses fils; dis-leur: Voici comme vous bénirez les fils d'Israël; vous leur direz:
24 The Lord blesse thee, and kepe thee;
Que le Seigneur te bénisse et le garde.
25 the Lord schewe his face to thee, and haue mercy on thee;
Que le Seigneur fasse luire sur toi son visage, et qu'il ait pitié de toi,
26 the Lord turne his cheer to thee, and yyue pees to thee.
Qu'il lève sur toi sa face, et qu'il t'accorde la paix.
27 Thei schulen clepe inwardli my name on the sones of Israel, and Y schal blesse hem.
