Matthew 19
1 And it was don, whanne Jhesus hadde endid these wordis, he passide fro Galilee, and cam in to the coostis of Judee ouer Jordan.
Și s-a întâmplat după ce Isus a terminat aceste cuvinte, că a plecat din Galileea și a venit în ținuturile Iudeii, dincolo de Iordan;
2 And myche puple suede him, and he heelide hem there.
Și l-au urmat mulțimi mari; și acolo i-a vindecat.
3 And Farisees camen to him, temptynge him, and seiden, Whether it be leueful to a man to leeue his wijf, for ony cause?
Fariseii de asemenea au venit la el, ispitindu-l și spunându-i: Este legiuit unui bărbat să divorțeze de soția lui pentru orice motiv?
4 Which answeride, and seide to hem, Han ye not red, for he that made men at the bigynnyng, made hem male and female?
Iar el a răspuns și le-a zis: Nu ați citit că cel care i-a făcut, de la început i-a făcut parte bărbătească și parte femeiască?
5 And he seide, For this thing a man schal leeue fadir and modir, and he schal draw to his wijf; and thei schulen be tweyne in o fleisch.
Și a spus: Din această cauză va lăsa un bărbat pe tată și pe mamă și se va lipi de soția sa; și cei doi vor fi un singur trup.
6 And so thei ben not now tweyne, but o fleisch. Therfor a man departe not that thing that God hath ioyned.
Așa că nu mai sunt doi, ci un singur trup. De aceea ce Dumnezeu a unit, omul să nu despartă.
7 Thei seien to hym, What thanne comaundide Moises, to yyue a libel of forsakyng, and to leeue of?
Iar ei i-au spus: De ce atunci a poruncit Moise să dea o carte de despărțire și să divorțeze de ea?
8 And he seide to hem, For Moises, for the hardnesse of youre herte, suffride you leeue youre wyues; but fro the bigynnyng it was not so.
Dar el le-a spus: Moise v-a permis să divorțați de soțiile voastre din cauza împietririi inimilor voastre; dar nu a fost așa de la început.
9 And Y seie to you, that who euer leeueth his wijf, but for fornycacioun, and weddith another, doith letcherie; and he that weddith the forsakun wijf, doith letcherie.
Și vă spun: Oricine va divorța de soția lui, în afară de motiv de curvie și se va căsători cu alta, comite adulter; și cine se căsătorește cu cea divorțată, comite adulter.
10 His disciplis seien to him, If the cause of a man with a wijf is so, it spedith not to be weddid.
Discipolii lui îi spun: Dacă astfel stau lucrurile cu omul și soția, nu este bine a se căsători.
11 And he seide to hem, Not alle men taken this word; but to whiche it is youun.
Dar el le-a spus: Nu toți primesc acest cuvânt, ci numai cei cărora le este dat.
12 For ther ben geldingis, whiche ben thus born of the modris wombe; and ther ben geldyngis, that ben maad of men; and there ben geldyngis, that han geldid hem silf, for the kyngdom of heuenes. He that may take, `take he.
Fiindcă sunt fameni care au fost născuți așa din pântecele mamei; și sunt fameni care au fost făcuți fameni de către oameni; și sunt fameni care ei înșiși s-au făcut fameni din cauza împărăției cerului. Cine este în stare să primească, să primească.
13 Thanne litle children weren brouyte to hym, that he schulde putte hondis to hem, and preie.
Atunci i s-au adus copilași ca să pună mâinile peste ei și să se roage; și discipolii i-au mustrat.
14 And the disciplis blamyden hem. But Jhesus seide to hem, Suffre ye that litle children come to me, and nyle ye forbede hem; for of siche is the kyngdom of heuenes.
Dar Isus a spus: Lăsați copilașii să vină la mine și nu îi opriți; fiindcă a unora ca ei este împărăția cerului.
15 And whanne he hadde put to hem hondis, he wente fro thennus.
Și a pus mâinile peste ei și a plecat de acolo.
16 And lo! oon cam, and seide to hym, Good maister, what good schal Y do, that Y haue euerlastynge lijf? (aiōnios g166)
Și iată, unul a venit și i-a spus: Bunule Învățător, ce lucru bun să fac ca să am viață eternă? (aiōnios g166)
17 Which seith to hym, What axist thou me of good thing? There is o good God. But if thou wolt entre to lijf, kepe the comaundementis.
Și i-a spus: De ce mă numești bun? Nimeni nu este bun decât unul, adică, Dumnezeu; dar dacă voiești să intri în viață, ține poruncile.
18 He seith to hym, Whiche? And Jhesus seide, Thou schalt not do mansleying, thou schalt not do auowtrie, thou schalt not do thefte, thou schalt not seie fals witnessying;
El i-a spus: Care? Isus a spus: Să nu ucizi, Să nu comiți adulter, Să nu furi, Să nu aduci mărturie falsă;
19 worschipe thi fadir and thi modir, and, thou schalt loue thi neiybore as thi silf.
Onorează pe tatăl tău și pe mama ta; și, Să iubești pe aproapele tău ca pe tine însuți.
20 The yonge man seith to hym, Y haue kept alle these thingis fro my youthe, what yit failith to me?
Tânărul i-a spus: Toate acestea le-am păzit din tinerețea mea; ce îmi mai lipsește?
21 Jhesus seith to hym, If thou wolt be perfite, go, and sille alle thingis that thou hast, and yyue to pore men, and thou schalt haue tresoure in heuene; and come, and sue me.
Isus i-a spus: Dacă voiești să fii desăvârșit, du-te, vinde ce ai și dă la săraci și vei avea tezaur în cer; și vino, urmează-mă.
22 And whanne the yong man hadde herd these wordis, he wente awei sorewful, for he hadde many possessiouns.
Dar după ce tânărul a auzit acel cuvânt, a plecat întristat; fiindcă avea multe averi.
23 And Jhesus seide to hise disciplis, Y seie to you treuthe, for a riche man of hard schal entre in to the kyngdom of heuenes.
Atunci Isus le-a spus discipolilor săi: Adevărat vă spun că: Greu va intra un bogat în împărăția cerului.
24 And eftsoone Y seie to you, it is liyter a camel to passe thorou a needlis iye, thanne a riche man to entre in to the kyngdom of heuens.
Și vă spun din nou: Este mai ușor pentru o cămilă să treacă prin urechea unui ac, decât pentru un om bogat să intre în împărăția lui Dumnezeu.
25 Whanne these thingis weren herd, the disciplis wondriden greetli, and seiden, Who thanne may be saaf?
Când au auzit discipolii lui, au fost uimiți peste măsură, spunând: Atunci cine poate fi salvat?
26 Jhesus bihelde, and seide to hem, Anentis men this thing is impossible; but anentis God alle thingis ben possible.
Dar Isus i-a privit și le-a spus: La oameni, aceasta este imposibil; dar la Dumnezeu toate lucrurile sunt posibile.
27 Thanne Petre answeride, and seide to hym, Lo! we han forsake alle thingis, and we han suede thee; what thanne schal be to vs?
Atunci a răspuns Petru și i-a zis: Iată, noi am lăsat toate și te-am urmat; așadar ce va fi cu noi?
28 Jhesus seide to hem, Truli I seie to you, that ye that han forsake alle thingis, and han sued me, in the regeneracioun whanne mannus sone schal sitte in the sete of his maieste, ye schulen sitte on twelue setis, demynge the twelue kynredis of Israel.
Iar Isus le-a spus: Adevărat vă spun că: Voi care m-ați urmat, în regenerare, când Fiul omului va ședea pe tronul gloriei sale, voi de asemenea veți ședea pe douăsprezece tronuri, judecând pe cele douăsprezece triburi ale lui Israel.
29 And euery man that forsakith hous, britheren or sistren, fadir or modir, wijf ethir children, or feeldis, for my name, he schal take an hundrid foold, and schal welde euerlastynge lijf. (aiōnios g166)
Și fiecare om care a lăsat case, sau frați, sau surori, sau tată, sau mamă, sau soție, sau copii, sau pământuri pentru numele meu, va primi însutit și va moșteni viață veșnică. (aiōnios g166)
30 But manye schulen be, the firste the laste, and the laste the firste.
Dar mulți care sunt cei dintâi vor fi cei de pe urmă; iar cei de pe urmă vor fi cei dintâi.
