Malachi 1
1 The birthun of the word of the Lord to Israel, in the hond of Malachie, the profete.
इस्राएलको विषयमा मलाकीद्दारा भएको परमप्रभुको वचनको घोषणा ।
2 Y louyde you, seith the Lord, and ye seiden, In what thing louydist thou vs? Whether Esau was not the brother of Jacob, seith the Lord, and Y louyde Jacob,
“मैले तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गरेको छु,” परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ । तर तिमीहरू भन्छौ, “तपाईंले हामीलाई कसरी प्रेम गर्नुभएको छ?” “के एसाव याकूबको दाजु थिएन र?” परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ । “तथापि मैले याकूबलाई प्रेम गरेको छु,
3 forsothe Y hatide Esau? And Y haue put Seir the hillis of hym in to wildirnesse, and his eritage in to dragouns of desert.
तर मैले एसावलाई घृणा गरेको छु । मैले त्यसका पर्वतहरूलाई त्यागिएको बनाएको छु, र मैले त्यसको उत्तराधिकारलाई मरुभूमिका स्यालहरूका वासस्थान बनाइदिएको छु ।”
4 That if Idumee seith, We ben distried, but we schulen turne ayen, and bilde tho thingis that ben distried; the Lord of oostis seith these thingis, These schulen bilde, and Y schal distrie; and thei schulen be clepid termes of wickidnesse, and a puple to whom the Lord is wroth, til in to with outen ende.
“हामीहरू कुल्चिएकाछौँ, तर हामी हाम्रा भग्नावशेषहरूलाई पुनर्निर्माण गर्नेछौँ,” भनेर एदोमले भनेमा, परमप्रभुले भन्नुहुनेछ, “तिनीहरूले पुनर्निर्माण गर्लान्, तर म फेरि तल झारिदिनेछु । अरूहरूले तिनीहरूलाई ‘दुष्टताको देश’ र ‘परमप्रभुले सदाको निम्ति श्रापित गर्नुभएको जाति’ भनेर भन्नेछन् ।
5 And youre iyen schulen se, and ye schulen seie, The Lord be magnefied on the terme of Israel.
तिमीहरूका आफ्नै आँखाले यो देख्नेछन्, अनि तिमीहरूले भन्नेछौ, ‘इस्राएलका सिमानाहरूभन्दा बाहिर पनि परमप्रभु महान् हुनुहुन्छ ।’”
6 The sone onourith the fader, and the seruaunt schal drede his lord; therfor if Y am fadir, wher is myn onour? and if Y am lord, where is my drede? seith the Lord of oostis. A! ye prestis, to you that dispisen my name; and ye seiden, Wherynne han we dispisid thi name?
“छोरोले आफ्नो बुबाको आदर गर्दछ, र दासले आफ्नो मालिकको । यदि, यसैकारण, म पिता हुँ भने, मेरो आदर कहाँ छ? म मालिक हुँ भने, मेरो निम्ति श्रद्धा कहाँ छ?” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु तिमी पुजारीहरूलाई भन्नुहुन्छ, जसले मेरो नाउँको तिरस्कार गर्दछौ । “तर तिमीहरू भन्छौ, ‘हामीले कसरी तपाईंको नाउँको तिरस्कार गरेका छौँ?’
7 Ye offren on myn auter vncleene breed, and ye seien, Wherynne han we defoulid thee? In that thing that ye seien, The boord of the Lord is dispisid.
तिमीहरूले मेरो वेदीमा अशुद्ध रोटी अर्पण गर्छौ । तर तिमीहरू परमप्रभुको टेबिल तुच्छ छ भनेर यसो भन्दछौ, ‘हामीहरूले कसरी तपाईंलाई अशुद्ध बनाएका छौँ?’
8 If ye offren a blynd beest to be sacrifisid, whether it is not yuel? And if ye offren a crokid and sike beeste, whether it is not yuel? Offre thou it to thi duyk, if it schal plese hym, ether if he schal resseyue thi face, seith the Lord of oostis.
जब तिमीहरू बलिदानको निम्ति अन्धा पशुहरू चढाउँछौ, के त्यो खराब होइन र? जब तिमीहरू लङ्गडो र रोग लागेका पशु चढाउँछौ, के त्यो बेठिक होइन र? त्यो तिमीहरूका राज्यपाललाई चढाएर हेर! के तिनले तिमीहरूलाई स्वीकार गर्लान्, वा के तिनले तिमीहरूको शिर माथि उठाउलान्?” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
9 And now biseche ye the cheer of the Lord, that he haue merci on you; for of youre hond this thing is doon, if in ony maner he resseiue youre faces, seith the Lord of oostis.
उहाँ तिमीहरूप्रति अनुग्रही होऊन् भनेर तिमीहरू उहाँको मुहारको खोजी गर्छौ । तर सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, तिमीहरूका हातमा त्यस्तो भेटी लिएर, के उहाँले तिमीहरूका शिर उठाउनुहुन्छ?
10 Who is `in you that closith doris, and brenneth myn auter `of his owne wille, ethir freli? Wille is not to me in you, seith the Lord of oostis; and Y schal not resseyue a yifte of youre hond.
“तिमीहरूले मेरो वेदीमा व्यर्थै आगो नबालोस् भनेर, तिमीहरूमध्ये कोही एकले मन्दिरका ढोकाहरू बन्द गरोस् भन्ने म इच्छा गर्दछु! म तिमीहरूमा प्रसन्न हुन्नँ,” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “र म तिमीहरूका हातबाट कुनै बलिदान अर्पण गर्नेछैनँ ।
11 For fro rysyng of the sunne til to goyng doun, my name is greet in hethene men; and in ech place a cleene offring is sacrifisid, and offrid to my name; for my name is greet in hethene men, seith the Lord of oostis.
किनभने सूर्योदयदेखि सूर्यास्तसम्म जाति-जातिहरूमा मेरो नाउँ महान् हुनेछ र हरेक ठाउँमा मेरो नाउँमा धूप र शुद्ध भेटीहरू अर्पण गरिनेछन् । किनभने जाति-जातिहरूमा मेरो नाउँ महान् हुनेछ,” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
12 And ye han defoulid it in that that ye seien, The boord of the Lord is defoulid, and that that is put aboue is `worthi to be dispisid, with fier that deuourith it.
“तर तिमीहरूले परमप्रभुको टेबिल अशुद्ध छ, र त्यसमा भएका फलफुल र रोटी घृणायुक्त छन् भनेर त्यो अपवित्र बनाउँछौ ।
13 And ye seiden, Lo! of trauel; and ye han blowe it a wei, seith the Lord of oostis. And ye brouyten in of raueyns a crokid thlng and sijk, and brouyten in a yifte; whether Y schal resseyue it of youre hond? seith the Lord.
तिमीहरू यसो पनि भन्छौ, ‘यो कति थकानयुक्त छ,’ र आफ्नो नाक बङ्गाउँछौ,” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ । “जङ्गली पशुले लगेका र लङ्गडो वा रोग लागेको पशु तिमीहरू ल्याउँछौ, र तिमीहरू यी आफ्नो भेटीस्वरूप ल्याउँछौ । के म ती तिमीहरूका हातबाट अर्पण गरूँ?” परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
14 Cursid is the gileful, that hath in his floc a male beeste, and `he makynge a vow offrith a feble to the Lord; for Y am a greet kyng, seith the Lord of oostis, and my name is dredeful `in folkis.
“छलगर्नेचाहिँ श्रापित होस् जसले आफूसँग आफ्नो बगालमा भएको नर-पशु मलाई दिने प्रतिज्ञा गर्दछ, तर त्यसले परमप्रभुलाई खोट भएको पशु चढाउँछ! किनभने म महान् राजा हुँ, र सारा जातिहरूबिच मेरो नाउँको आदर हुनेछ,” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
