Leviticus 24
1 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Comaunde thou to the sones of Israel,
| וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃ |
2 that thei brynge to thee oile of olyues, pureste oile, and briyt, to the lanternes to be ordeyned contynueli with out the veil of witnessyng,
| צו את בני ישראל ויקחו אליך שמן זית זך כתית למאור להעלת נר תמיד׃ |
3 in the tabernacle of boond of pees; and Aaron schal araye tho lanternes fro euentid `til to euentid bifor the Lord, bi religioun and custom euerlastynge in youre generaciouns;
| מחוץ לפרכת העדת באהל מועד יערך אתו אהרן מערב עד בקר לפני יהוה תמיד חקת עולם לדרתיכם׃ |
4 tho schulen be set euere on a clenneste candilstike in the siyt of the Lord.
| על המנרה הטהרה יערך את הנרות לפני יהוה תמיד׃ |
5 Also thou schalt take wheete flour, and thou schalt bake therof twelue looues, which schulen haue ech bi hem silf twei tenthe partis,
| ולקחת סלת ואפית אתה שתים עשרה חלות שני עשרנים יהיה החלה האחת׃ |
6 of whiche thou schalt sette sexe on euer eithir side, on a clenneste boord bifor the Lord;
| ושמת אותם שתים מערכות שש המערכת על השלחן הטהר לפני יהוה׃ |
7 and thou schalt sette clereste encense on tho looues, that the looues be in to mynde of offryng of the Lord;
| ונתת על המערכת לבנה זכה והיתה ללחם לאזכרה אשה ליהוה׃ |
8 bi ech sabat tho schulen be chaungid bifor the Lord, and schulen be takun of the sones of Israel bi euerlastynge boond of pees;
| ביום השבת ביום השבת יערכנו לפני יהוה תמיד מאת בני ישראל ברית עולם׃ |
9 and tho schulen be Aarons and hise sones, that thei ete tho in the hooli place, for it is hooli of the noumbre of hooli thingis, of the sacrifices of the Lord, bi euerlastynge lawe.
| והיתה לאהרן ולבניו ואכלהו במקום קדש כי קדש קדשים הוא לו מאשי יהוה חק עולם׃ |
10 Lo! forsothe the sone of a womman of Israel, whom sche childide of a man Egipcian, yede out among the sones of Israel, and chidde in the castels with a man of Israel,
| ויצא בן אשה ישראלית והוא בן איש מצרי בתוך בני ישראל וינצו במחנה בן הישראלית ואיש הישראלי׃ |
11 and whanne he hadde blasfemyd the name of the Lord, and hadde cursid the Lord, he was brouyt to Moises; forsothe his modir was clepid Salumyth, the douytir of Dabry, of the lynage of Dan;
| ויקב בן האשה הישראלית את השם ויקלל ויביאו אתו אל משה ושם אמו שלמית בת דברי למטה דן׃ |
12 and thei senten hym to prisoun, til thei wisten what the Lord comaundide.
| ויניחהו במשמר לפרש להם על פי יהוה׃ |
13 And the Lord spak to Moises and seide,
| וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃ |
14 Lede out the blasfemere without the castels, and alle men that herden, sette her hondis on his heed, and al the puple stone hym.
| הוצא את המקלל אל מחוץ למחנה וסמכו כל השמעים את ידיהם על ראשו ורגמו אתו כל העדה׃ |
15 And thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel, A man that cursith his God,
| ואל בני ישראל תדבר לאמר איש איש כי יקלל אלהיו ונשא חטאו׃ |
16 schal bere his synne, and he that blasfemeth the name of the Lord, die bi deeth; al the multitude of the puple schal oppresse hym with stoonus, whether he that blasfemede the name of the Lord is a citeseyn, whether a pilgrym, die he bi deeth.
| ונקב שם יהוה מות יומת רגום ירגמו בו כל העדה כגר כאזרח בנקבו שם יומת׃ |
17 He that smytith and sleeth a man, die bi deeth;
| ואיש כי יכה כל נפש אדם מות יומת׃ |
18 he that smytith a beeste, yelde oon in his stide, that is, lijf for lijf.
| ומכה נפש בהמה ישלמנה נפש תחת נפש׃ |
19 If a man yyueth a wem to ony of hise citeseyns, as he dide, so be it don to him;
| ואיש כי יתן מום בעמיתו כאשר עשה כן יעשה לו׃ |
20 he schal restore brekyng for brekyng, iye for iye, tooth for tooth; what maner wem he yaf, he schal be compellid to suffre sich a wem.
| שבר תחת שבר עין תחת עין שן תחת שן כאשר יתן מום באדם כן ינתן בו׃ |
21 He that smytith werk beeste, yeelde another; he that smytith a man, schal be punyschid.
| ומכה בהמה ישלמנה ומכה אדם יומת׃ |
22 Euene doom be among you, whether a pilgrym ethir a citeseyn synneth, for Y am youre Lord God.
| משפט אחד יהיה לכם כגר כאזרח יהיה כי אני יהוה אלהיכם׃ |
23 And Moyses spak to the sones of Israel, and thei brouyten forth out of the castels hym that blasfemede, and oppressiden with stoonus. And the sones of Israel diden, as the Lord comaundide to Moyses.
| וידבר משה אל בני ישראל ויוציאו את המקלל אל מחוץ למחנה וירגמו אתו אבן ובני ישראל עשו כאשר צוה יהוה את משה׃ |
