Leviticus 12
1 And the Lord spak to Moises, `and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,
Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
2 and thou schalt seie to hem, If a womman, whanne sche hath resseyued seed, childith a knaue child, sche schal be vnclene bi seuene daies bi the daies of departyng of corrupt blood, that renneth bi monethis;
Parle aux enfants d’Israël et tu leur diras: Si une femme, après avoir conçu, enfante un enfant mâle, elle sera impure pendant sept jours, selon les jours de la séparation menstruelle,
3 and the yong child schal be circumsidid in the eiytithe dai.
Et au huitième jour le petit enfant sera circoncis:
4 Sotheli sche schal dwelle thre and thretti daies in the blood of hir purifiyng; sche schal not touche ony hooli thing, nethir sche schal entre in to the seyntuarie, til the daies of her clensing be fillid.
Mais elle demeurera elle-même trente-trois jours dans le sang de sa purification. Elle ne touchera aucune chose sainte, et elle n’entrera pas dans le sanctuaire, jusqu’à ce que soient accomplis les jours de sa purification.
5 Sotheli if sche childith a female, sche schal be vnclene twei woukis, bi the custom of flowyng of vnclene blood, and `thre scoor and sixe daies sche schal dwelle in the blood of her clensyng.
Que si elle enfante une fille, elle sera impure pendant deux semaines, selon le rite du flux menstruel, et pendant soixante-six jours elle demeurera dans le sang de sa purification.
6 And whanne the daies of hir clensyng, for a sone, ether for a douytir, ben fillid, sche schal brynge a lomb of o yeer in to brent sacrifice, and a `bryd of a culuer, ethir a turtle, for synne, to the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;
Et lorsque seront accomplis les jours de sa purification, pour un fils ou pour une fille, elle portera un agneau d’un an pour l’holocauste, et le petit d’une colombe ou bien une tourterelle pour le péché à la porte du tabernacle de témoignage, et elle les donnera au prêtre,
7 and sche schal yyue to the preest, which schal offre tho bifor the Lord, and schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid fro the fowyng of hir blood. This is the lawe of a womman childynge a male, ethir a female.
Qui les offrira devant le Seigneur et priera pour elle; et c’est ainsi qu’elle sera purifiée de la perte de son sang. Telle est la loi de celle qui enfante un enfant mâle ou une fille.
8 That if hir hond fyndith not, nethir may offre a lomb, sche schal take twei turtlis, ethir twei `briddis of culueres, oon in to brent sacrifice, and the tother for synne; and the preest schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid.
Que si sa main ne trouve et ne peut offrir un agneau, elle prendra deux tourterelles ou deux petits de colombe, l’un pour l’holocauste et l’autre pour le péché: et le prêtre priera pour elle, et c’est ainsi quelle sera purifiée.
