Leviticus 11
1 And the Lord spak to Moises and Aaron, and seide,
फ़िर ख़ुदावन्द ने मूसा और हारून से कहा,
2 Seie ye to the sones of Israel, Kepe ye alle thingis whiche Y wroot to you, that Y be youre God. These ben the beestis, whiche ye schulen ete, of alle lyuynge beestis of erthe;
“तुम बनी — इस्राईल से कहो कि ज़मीन के सब हैवानात में से जिन जानवरों को तुम खा सकते हो वह यह हैं।
3 ye schulen ete `al thing among beestis that hath a clee departid, and chewith code;
जानवरों में जिनके पाँव अलग और चिरे हुए हैं और वह जुगाली करते हैं, तुम उनको खाओ।
4 sotheli what euer thing chewith code, and hath a clee, but departith not it, as a camel and othere beestis doon, ye schulen not ete it, and ye schulen arette among vnclene thingis.
मगर जो जुगाली करते हैं या जिनके पाँव अलग हैं, उन में से तुम इन जानवरों को न खाना; या'नी ऊँट को, क्यूँकि वह जुगाली करता है लेकिन उसके पाँव अलग नहीं, इसलिए वह तुम्हारे लिए नापाक है।
5 A cirogrille, which chewith code, and departith not the clee, is vnclene; and an hare,
और साफ़ान को, क्यूँकि वह जुगाली करता है लेकिन उसके पाँव अलग नहीं, वह भी तुम्हारे लिए नापाक है।
6 for also he chewith code, but departith not the clee;
और ख़रगोश को, क्यूँकि वह जुगाली तो करता है लेकिन उसके पाँव अलग नहीं, वह भी तुम्हारे लिए नापाक है।
7 and a swiyn, that chewith not code, thouy he departith the clee.
और सूअर को, क्यूँकि उसके पाँव अलग और चिरे हुए हैं लेकिन वह जुगाली नहीं करता, वह भी तुम्हारे लिए नापाक है।
8 Ye schulen not ete the fleischis of these, nether ye schulen touche the deed bodies, for tho ben vnclene to you.
तुम उनका गोश्त न खाना और उन की लाशों को न छूना, वह तुम्हारे लिए नापाक हैं।
9 Also these thingis ben that ben gendrid in watris, and is leueful to ete;
“जो जानवर पानी में रहते हैं उन में से तुम इनको खाना, या'नी समन्दरों और दरियाओं वग़ैरह के जानवरो में, जिनके पर और छिल्के हों तुम उन्हें खाओ।
10 ye schulen ete al thing that hath fynnes and scalis, as wel in the see, as in floodis and stondynge watris; sotheli what euer thing of tho that ben moued and lyuen in watris, hath not fynnes and scalis, schal be abhominable, and wlatsum to you;
लेकिन वह सब जानदार जो पानी में या'नी समन्दरों और दरियाओं वग़ैरह में चलते फिरते और रहते हैं, लेकिन उनके पर और छिल्के नहीं होते, वह तुम्हारे लिए मकरूह हैं।
11 ye schulen not ete the fleischis of tho, and ye schulen eschewe the bodies deed bi hem silf.
और वह तुम्हारे लिए मकरूह ही रहें। तुम उनका गोश्त न खाना और उन की लाशों से कराहियत करना।
12 Alle thingis in watris that han not fynnes and scalis, schulen be pollutid,
पानी के जिस किसी जानदार के न पर हों और न छिल्के, वह तुम्हारे लिए मकरूह हैं।
13 These thingis ben of foulis whiche ye schulen not ete, and schulen be eschewid of you; an egle, and a grippe, aliete, and a kyte, and a vultur by his kynde;
'और परिन्दों में जो मकरूह होने की वजह से कभी खाए न जाएँ और जिन से तुम्हें कराहियत करना है वो यह हैं। उक़ाब और उस्तख़्वान ख़्वार और लगड़,
14 and al of `rauyns kynde bi his licnesse;
और चील और हर क़िस्म का बाज़,
15 a strucioun,
और हर क़िस्म के कव्वे,
16 and nyyt crowe, a lare, and an hauke bi his kinde;
और शुतरमुर्ग़ और चुग़द और कोकिल और हर क़िस्म के शाहीन,
17 an owle, and dippere, and ibis;
और बूम और हड़गीला और उल्लू,
18 a swan and cormoraunt, and a pellican;
और क़ाज़ और हवासिल और गिद्ध,
19 a fawcun, a iay bi his kynde; a leepwynke, and a reremows.
और लक़लक़ और सब क़िस्म के बगुले और हुद — हुद, और चमगादड़।
20 Al thing of foulis that goith on foure feet, schal be abhomynable to you;
“और सब परदार रेंगने वाले जानदार जितने चार पाँवों के बल चलते हैं, वह तुम्हारे लिए मकरूह हैं।
21 sotheli what euer thing goith on foure feet, but hath lengere hipis bihynde, bi whiche it skippith on the erthe, ye schulen ete;
मगर परदार रेंगने वाले जानदारों में से जो चार पाँव के बल चलते हैं तुम उन जानदारों को खा सकते हो, जिनके ज़मीन के ऊपर कूदने फाँदने को पाँव के ऊपर टाँगें होती हैं,
22 as is a bruke in his kynde, and acatus, and opymacus, and a locuste, alle bi her kynde.
वह जिन्हें तुम खा सकते हो यह हैं, हर क़िस्म की टिड्डी और हर क़िस्म का सुलि'आम और हर क़िस्म का झींगर और हर क़िस्म का टिड्डा।
23 Forsothe what euer thing of briddis hath foure feet oneli, it schal be abhomynable to you;
लेकिन सब परदार रेंगने वाले जानदार जिनके चार पाँव हैं, वह तुम्हारे लिए मकरूह हैं।
24 and who euer touchith her bodies deed bi hem silf, schal be defoulid, and `schal be vnclene `til to euentid;
'और इन से तुम नापाक ठहरोगे, जो कोई इन में से किसी की लाश को छुए वह शाम तक नापाक रहेगा।
25 and if it is nede, that he bere ony deed thing of these, he schal waische his clothis, and he schal be vnclene til to the goyng doun of the sunne.
और जो कोई इन की लाश में से कुछ भी उठाए वह अपने कपड़े धो डाले और वह शाम तक नापाक रहेगा।
26 Sotheli ech beeste that hath a clee, but departith not it, nether chewith code, schal be vnclene; and what euer thing touchith it, schal be defoulid.
और सब चारपाए जिनके पाँव अलग हैं लेकिन वह चिरे हुए नहीं और न वह जुगाली करते हैं, वह तुम्हारे लिए नापाक हैं; जो कोई उन को छुए वह नापाक ठहरेगा।
27 That that goith on hondis, of alle beestis that gon on foure feet, schal be vnclene; he, that touchith her bodies deed bi hem silf, schal be defoulid `til to euentid;
और चार पाँवों पर चलने वाले जानवरों में से जितने अपने पंजों के बल चलते हैं, वह भी तुम्हारे लिए नापाक हैं। जो कोई उन की लाश को छुए वह शाम तक नापाक रहेगा।
28 and he, that berith siche deed bodies, schal waische hise clothis, and he schal be vnclene `til to euentid; for alle these thingis ben vnclene to you.
और जो कोई उन की लाश को उठाए वह अपने कपड़े धो डाले और वह शाम तक नापाक रहेगा। यह सब तुम्हारे लिए नापाक हैं।
29 Also these thingis schulen be arettid among defoulid thingis, of these that ben moued on erthe; a wesele, and mows, and a cocodrille, `alle bi her kynde;
“और ज़मीन पर के रेंगने वाले जानवरों में से जो तुम्हारे लिए नापाक हैं वह यह हैं, या'नी नेवला और चूहा और हर क़िस्म की बड़ी छिपकली,
30 mygal, camelion, and stellio, and lacerta, and a maldewerp.
और हिरजून और गोह और छिपकली और सान्डा और गिरगिट।
31 Alle these ben vnclene; he that touchith her bodies deed bi hem silf, schal be vnclene `til to euentid;
सब रेंगने वाले जानदारों में से यह तुम्हारे लिए नापाक हैं, जो कोई उनके मरे पीछे उन को छुए वह शाम तक नापाक रहेगा।
32 and that thing schal be defoulid, on which ony thing of her bodies deed bi hem silf fallith, as wel a vessel of tree, and a cloth, as skynnes `and heiris; and in what euer thing werk is maad, it schal be dippid in watir, and tho thingis schulen be defoulid `til to euentid, and so aftirward tho schulen be clensid.
और जिस चीज़ पर वह मरे पीछे गिरें वह चीज़ नापाक होगी, चाहे वह लकडी का बर्तन हो या कपड़ा या चमड़ा या बोरा हो, चाहे किसी का कैसा ही बर्तन हो, ज़रूर है कि वह पानी में डाला जाए और वह शाम तक नापाक रहेगा, इस के बाद वह पाक ठहरेगा।
33 Sotheli a vessel of erthe, in which ony thing of these fallith with ynne, schal be defoulid, and therfor it schal be brokun.
और अगर इनमें से कोई किसी मिट्टी के बर्तन में गिर जाए तो जो कुछ उस में है वह नापाक होगा, और बर्तन को तुम तोड़ डालना।
34 Ech mete, which ye schulen ete, schal be vnclene, if water is sched thereon; and ech fletynge thing, which is drunkun of ech vessel, `where ynne vnclene thingis bifelden, schal be vnclene;
उसके अन्दर अगर खाने की कोई चीज़ हो जिस में पानी पड़ा हुआ हो, तो वह भी नापाक ठहरेगी; और अगर ऐसे बर्तन में पीने के लिए कुछ हो तो वह नापाक होगा
35 and what euer thing of siche deed bodies bi hem silf felde theronne, it schal be vnclene, whether furneisis, ethir vessels of thre feet, tho schulen be destried, and schulen be vnclene.
और जिस चीज़ पर उनकी लाश का कोई हिस्सा गिरे, चाहे वह तनूर हो या चूल्हा, वह नापाक होगी और तोड़ डाली जाए। ऐसी चीज़ें नापाक होती हैं और वह तुम्हारे लिए भी नापाक हों,
36 Sotheli wellis and cisternes, and al the congregacioun of watris, schal be clene. He that touchith her bodi deed bi it silf, schal be defoulid.
मगर चश्मा या तालाब जिस में बहुत पानी हो वह पाक रहेगा, लेकिन जो कुछ उन की लाश से छू जाए वह नापाक होगा।
37 If it fallith on seed, it schal not defoule the seed;
और अगर उन की लाश का कुछ हिस्सा किसी बोने के बीज पर गिरे तो वह बीज पाक रहेगा;
38 sotheli if ony man schedith seed with watir, and aftirward the watir is touchid with deed bodies bi hem silf, it schal be defoulid anoon.
लेकिन अगर बीज पर पानी डाला गया हो और इसके बाद उन की लाश में से कुछ उस पर गिरा हो, तो वह तुम्हारे लिए नापाक होगा।
39 If a beeste is deed, which it is leueful to you to ete, he that touchith the deed bodi therof schal be vnclene `til to euentid; and he that etith therof ony thing,
“और जिन जानवरों को तुम खा सकते हो, अगर उन में से कोई मर जाए तो जो कोई उस की लाश को छुए वह शाम तक नापाक रहेगा।
40 ethir berith, schal waische his clothis, and schal be vnclene `til to euentid.
और जो कोई उनकी लाश में से कुछ खाए, वह अपने कपड़े धो डाले और वह शाम तक नापाक रहेगा; और जो कोई उन की लाश को उठाए, वह अपने कपड़े धो डाले और वह शाम तक नापाक रहेगा।
41 Al thing that crepith on erthe, schal be abhomynable, nether schal be takun in to mete.
'और सब रेंगने वाले जानदार जो ज़मीन पर रेंगते हैं, मकरूह हैं और कभी खाए न जाएँ।
42 `What euer thing goith on the brest and foure feet, and hath many feet, ethir drawun bi the erthe, ye schulen not ete, for it is abhomynable.
और ज़मीन पर के सब रेंगने वाले जानदारों में से, जितने पेट या चार पाँवों के बल चलते हैं या जिनके बहुत से पाँव होते हैं, उनको तुम न खाना क्यूँकि वह मकरूह हैं।
43 Nyle ye defoule youre soulis, nether touche ye ony thing of tho, lest ye ben vnclene;
और तुम किसी रेंगने वाले जानदार की वजह से जो ज़मीन पर रेंगता है, अपने आप को मकरूह न बना लेना और न उन से अपने आप को नापाक करना के नजिस हो जाओ;
44 for Y am youre Lord God; be ye hooli, for Y am hooli. Defoule ye not youre soulis in ech crepynge `beeste which is moued on erthe; for Y am the Lord,
क्यूँकि मैं ख़ुदावन्द तुम्हारा ख़ुदा हूँ, इसलिए अपने आप को पाक करना और पाक होना क्यूँकि मैं क़ुद्दूस हूँ, इसलिए तुम किसी तरह के रेंगने वाले जानदार से जो ज़मीन पर चलता है, अपने आप को नापाक न करना;
45 that ladde you out of the lond of Egipt, that Y schulde be to you in to God; ye schulen be hooli, for Y am hooli.
क्यूँकि मैं ख़ुदावन्द हूँ, और तुमको मुल्क — ए — मिस्र से इसी लिए निकाल कर लाया हूँ कि मैं तुम्हारा ख़ुदा ठहरूँ। इसलिए तुम पाक होना क्यूँकि मैं क़ुद्दुस हूँ।”
46 This is the lawe of lyuynge beestes, and of foulis, and of ech lyuynge soule which is moued in watir, and crepith in erthe;
हैवानात, और परिन्दों, और आबी जानवरों, और ज़मीन पर के सब रेंगने वाले जानदारों के बारे में शरा' यही है;
47 that ye knowe differences of clene thing and vnclene, and that ye wite what ye schulen ete, and what ye owen forsake.
ताकि पाक और नापाक में, और जो जानवर खाए जा सकते हैं और जो नहीं खाए जा सकते, उनके बीच इम्तियाज़ किया जाए।
