Jeremiah 13
1 The Lord seith these thingis to me, Go, and take in possessioun to thee a lynnun breigirdil; and thou schalt putte it on thi leendis, and thou schalt not bere it in to watir.
So hat Jehova zu mir gesprochen: Geh und kaufe dir einen leinenen Gürtel und lege ihn um deine Lenden; aber ins Wasser sollst du ihn nicht bringen.
2 And Y took in possessioun a breigirdil, bi the word of the Lord; and Y puttide aboute my leendis.
Und ich kaufte den Gürtel, nach dem Worte Jehovas, und legte ihn um meine Lenden.
3 And the word of the Lord was maad to me in the secounde tyme,
Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zum zweiten Male zu mir also:
4 and seide, Take the brigirdil, which thou haddist in possessioun, which is aboute thi leendis; and rise thou, and go to Eufrates, and hide thou it there, in the hoole of a stoon.
Nimm den Gürtel, den du gekauft hast, der um deine Lenden ist, und mache dich auf, geh an den Euphrat und verbirg ihn daselbst in einer Felsenspalte.
5 And Y yede, and hidde it in Eufrates, as the Lord comaundide to me.
Da ging ich hin und verbarg ihn am Euphrat, wie Jehova mir geboten hatte.
6 And it was don aftir ful many daies, the Lord seide to me, Rise thou, and go to Eufrates, and take fro thennus the brigirdil, whiche Y comaundide to thee, that thou schuldist hide it there.
Und es geschah am Ende vieler Tage, da sprach Jehova zu mir: Mache dich auf, geh an den Euphrat und hole von dort den Gürtel, den ich dir geboten habe daselbst zu verbergen.
7 And Y yede to Eufrates, and diggide out, and Y took the breigirdil fro the place, where Y hadde hidde it; and lo! the breigirdil was rotun, so that it was not able to ony vss.
Und ich ging an den Euphrat und grub, und nahm den Gürtel von dem Orte, wo ich ihn verborgen hatte; und siehe, der Gürtel war verdorben, taugte zu gar nichts mehr. -
8 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu mir also:
9 and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, So Y schal make rotun the pride of Juda, and the myche pride of Jerusalem,
So spricht Jehova: Also werde ich verderben die Hoffart Judas und die große Hoffart Jerusalems.
10 and this worste puple, that nylen here my wordis, and goen in the schrewidnesse of her herte; and thei yeden aftir alien goddis, to serue hem, and to worschipe hem; and thei schulen be as this breigirdil, which is not able to ony vss.
Dieses böse Volk, das sich weigert meine Worte zu hören, das da wandelt in dem Starrsinn seines Herzens, und anderen Göttern nachgeht, um ihnen zu dienen und sich vor ihnen niederzubeugen: Es soll werden wie dieser Gürtel, der zu gar nichts taugt.
11 For as a breigirdil cleueth to the leendis of a man, so Y ioynede faste to me al the hous of Israel, and al the hous of Juda, seith the Lord, that thei schulden be to me in to a puple, and in to name, and in to heriyng, and in to glorie; and thei herden not.
Denn gleichwie der Gürtel sich an die Lenden eines Mannes anschließt, so habe ich das ganze Haus Israel und das ganze Haus Juda an mich geschlossen, spricht Jehova, damit sie mir zum Volk und zum Namen und zum Ruhm und zum Schmuck seien; aber sie haben nicht gehört.
12 Therfor thou schalt seie to hem this word, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Ech potel schal be fillid of wyn. And thei schulen seie to thee, Whether we witen not, that ech potel schal be fillid of wyn?
Und sprich dieses Wort zu ihnen: So spricht Jehova, der Gott Israels: Jeder Krug wird mit Wein gefüllt. Und wenn sie zu dir sagen: Wissen wir nicht sehr wohl, daß jeder Krug mit Wein gefüllt wird?
13 And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y shal fille with drunkenesse alle the dwelleris of this lond, and the kyngis of the generacioun of Dauith, that sitten on his trone, and the prestis, and profetis, and alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem.
so sprich zu ihnen: Also spricht Jehova: Siehe, ich werde alle Bewohner dieses Landes, und die Könige, die auf dem Throne Davids sitzen, und die Priester und die Propheten und alle Bewohner von Jerusalem mit Trunkenheit erfüllen.
14 And Y schal scatere hem, a man fro his brother, and the fadris and sones togidere, seith the Lord; Y schal not spare, and Y schal not graunte, nether Y schal do mercy, that I leese not hem.
Und ich werde sie zerschmettern einen gegen den anderen, die Väter und die Kinder allzumal, spricht Jehova; ich werde nicht Mitleid haben, noch schonen, noch mich erbarmen, daß ich sie nicht verderbe.
15 Here ye, and perseyue with eeris; nyle ye be reisid, for the Lord spak.
Höret und nehmet zu Ohren, überhebet euch nicht! Denn Jehova hat geredet.
16 Yyue ye glorie to youre Lord God, bifore that it wexe derk, and bifor that youre feet hirte at derk hillis; ye schulen abide liyt, and he schal sette it in to the schadewe of deeth, and in to derknesse.
Gebet Jehova, eurem Gott, Ehre, bevor er finster macht, und bevor eure Füße sich an Bergen der Dämmerung stoßen, und ihr auf Licht wartet, und er es in Todesschatten verwandelt und zur Dunkelheit macht.
17 That if ye heren not this, my soule schal wepe in hid place for the face of pride; it wepynge schal wepe, and myn iye shal caste out a teer, for the floc of the Lord is takun.
Wenn ihr aber nicht höret, so wird meine Seele im Verborgenen weinen wegen eures Hochmuts; und tränen wird mein Auge und von Tränen rinnen, weil die Herde Jehovas gefangen weggeführt ist.
18 Seye thou to the kyng, and to the ladi, Be ye mekid, sitte ye, for the coroun of youre glorie schal go doun fro youre heed.
Sprich zu dem König und zu der Königin: Setzet euch tief herunter; denn von euren Häuptern ist herabgesunken die Krone eurer Herrlichkeit.
19 The cities of the south ben closid, and noon is that openith; al Juda is translatid bi perfit passyng ouere, ether goynge out of her lond.
Die Städte des Südens sind verschlossen, und niemand öffnet; Juda ist weggeführt insgesamt, ist gänzlich weggeführt.
20 Reise ye youre iyen, and se ye, what men comen fro the north; where is the floc which is youun to thee, thi noble scheep?
Hebet eure Augen auf und sehet die von Norden Kommenden! Wo ist die Herde, die dir gegeben war, deine herrliche Herde?
21 What schalt thou seie, whanne he schal visite thee? for thou hast tauyt hem ayens thee, and thou hast tauyt ayens thin heed. Whether sorewis han not take thee, as a womman trauelynge of child?
Was willst du sagen, wenn er die zum Haupte über dich bestellt, welche du als Vertraute an dich gewöhnt hast? Werden nicht Wehen dich ergreifen, einer Gebärenden gleich?
22 That if thou seist in thin herte, Whi camen these thingis to me? for the multitude of thi wickidnesse thi schamefulere thingis ben schewid, thi feet ben defoulid.
Und wenn du in deinem Herzen sprichst: Warum ist mir dieses begegnet? Um der Größe deiner Ungerechtigkeit willen sind deine Säume aufgedeckt und haben deine Fersen Gewalt gelitten. -
23 If a man of Ethiopie mai chaunge his skyn, ether a pard mai chaunge hise dyuersitees, and ye moun do wel, whanne ye han lerned yuel.
Kann ein Mohr seine Haut wandeln, ein Pardel seine Flecken? Dann könntet auch ihr Gutes tun, die ihr an Bösestun gewöhnt seid.
24 And Y schal sowe hem abrood, as stobil which is rauyschid of the wynd in desert.
Darum werde ich sie zerstreuen wie Stoppeln, welche durch den Wind der Wüste dahinfahren.
25 This is thi lot, and the part of thi mesure of me, seith the Lord; for thou foryetidist me, and tristidist in a leesyng.
Das ist dein Los, dein von mir zugemessenes Teil, spricht Jehova, weil du meiner vergessen und auf Lüge vertraut hast.
26 Wherfor and Y made nakid thin hipis ayens thi face, and thi schenschipe apperide,
Und so werde auch ich deine Säume aufstreifen über dein Angesicht, daß deine Schande gesehen werde.
27 thin auowtries, and thin neyyng, and the felonye of thi fornycacioun on litle hillis in the feeld; Y siy thin abhomynaciouns. Jerusalem, wo to thee, thou schalt not be clensid after me til yit.
Dein Ehebrechen und dein Wiehern, die Schandtat deiner Hurerei auf den Hügeln im Felde: Deine Greuel habe ich gesehen. Wehe dir, Jerusalem! Du wirst nicht rein werden, wie lange wird's noch währen?
