Isaiah 48
1 The hows of Jacob, that ben clepid bi the name of Israel, and yeden out of the watris of Juda, here these thingis, whiche sweren in the name of the Lord, and han mynde on God of Israel, not in treuthe, nether in riytfulnesse.
Höre dieses, du Haus Jakob, die ihr mit dem Namen Israel benannt werdet und aus den Wassern Judas entsprungen seid; die ihr bei dem Namen des HERRN schwöret und euch zu dem Gott Israels bekennet, aber nicht in Wahrheit noch in Gerechtigkeit!
2 For thei ben clepid of the hooli citee, and ben stablischid on the God of Israel, the Lord of oostis is his name.
Denn sie nennen sich nach der heiligen Stadt und verlassen sich auf den Gott Israels, dessen Name HERR der Heerscharen ist.
3 Fro that tyme Y telde the former thingis, and tho yeden out of my mouth; and Y made tho knowun; sudenli Y wrouyte, and tho thingis camen.
Das Frühere habe ich vorlängst verkündigt; aus meinem Munde ist es hervorgegangen, und ich habe es kundgetan. Plötzlich habe ich es ausgeführt, und es ist eingetroffen.
4 For Y wiste that thou art hard, and thi nol is a senewe of irun, and thi forhed is of bras.
Weil ich wußte, daß du hart bist und dein Nacken eine eiserne Sehne und deine Stirne ehern ist,
5 Y biforseide to thee fro that tyme, bifore that tho thingis camen, Y schewide to thee, lest perauenture thou woldist seie, Myn idols diden these thingis, and my grauun ymagis and my yotun
so habe ich es dir damals angekündigt; ehe es geschah, habe ich es dir zu wissen getan, daß du nicht sagen könntest: Mein Götze hat es gemacht, und mein geschnitztes oder gegossenes Bild hat es befohlen.
6 ymagis senten these thingis whiche thou herdist. Se thou alle thingis, but ye telden not. Y made herd newe thyngis to thee fro that tyme, and thingis ben kept whiche thou knowist not;
Du hast alles gehört, was du nun siehst. Wollt ihr es nun nicht eingestehen? Von nun an lasse ich dich Neues hören und Verborgenes, was du nicht wußtest.
7 now tho ben maad of nouyt, and not fro that tyme, and bifor the dai, and thou herdist not tho thingis; lest perauenture thou seie, Lo! Y knew tho thingis.
Jetzt erst ist es geschaffen worden und nicht vorlängst; und vor dem heutigen Tag hast du nichts davon gehört, damit du nicht sagen könntest: Siehe, ich habe es gewußt!
8 Nether thou herdist, nether thou knewist, nether thin eere was openyd fro that tyme; for Y woot, that thou trespassynge schal trespasse, and Y clepide thee a trespassour fro the wombe.
Du hast es weder gehört noch gewußt, noch war damals dein Ohr geöffnet; denn ich wußte, daß du gar treulos bist und von Mutterleib an ein Übertreter genannt wurdest.
9 For my name Y schal make fer my strong veniaunce, and with my preysyng Y schal refreyne thee, lest thou perische.
Um meines Namens willen bin ich langmütig, und um meiner Ehre willen halte ich an mich dir zugute, um dich nicht auszurotten.
10 Lo! Y haue sode thee, but not as siluer; Y chees thee in the chymeney of pouert.
Siehe, ich habe dich geläutert, aber nicht als Silber. Ich habe dich geprüft im Ofen des Elends.
11 Y schal do for me, that Y be not blasfemyd, and Y schal not yyue my glorie to another.
Um meinetwillen, um meinetwillen tue ich's! Denn wie würde sonst gelästert! Und ich will meine Ehre keinem andern geben.
12 Jacob and Israel, whom Y clepe, here thou me; Y my silf, Y am the firste and Y am the laste.
Höre auf mich, Jakob, und du Israel, mein Berufener! Ich bin derselbe! Ich bin der Erste, und ich bin auch der Letzte!
13 And myn hond foundide the erthe, and my riyt hond mat heuenes; Y schal clepe tho, and tho schulen stonde togidere.
Ja, meine Hand hat die Erde gegründet und meine Rechte die Himmel ausgespannt. Sobald ich ihnen rief, standen sie allzumal da.
14 Alle ye be gaderid togidere, and here; who of hem telde these thingis? The Lord louyde hym, he schal do his wille in Babiloyne, and his arm in Caldeis.
Versammelt euch, ihr alle, und höret! Welcher unter ihnen hat solches verkündigt: Er, den der HERR liebhat, der wird seinen Willen an Babel vollstrecken und die Chaldäer seinen Arm fühlen lassen?
15 Y, Y spak, and clepide hym; Y brouyte hym, and his weie was dressid.
Ich, ich habe es gesagt, ich habe ihn auch berufen und ihn hergebracht, und sein Weg wird gelingen.
16 Neiye ye to me, and here ye these thingis; at the bigynnyng Y spak not in priuete; fro tyme, bifore that thingis weren maad, Y was there, and now the Lord God and his Spirit sente me.
Nahet zu mir und höret solches! Nicht im Verborgenen habe ich von Anfang an geredet. Seitdem es geschehen ist, bin ich da; und nun hat mich Gott, der HERR, und sein Geist gesandt.
17 The Lord, thin ayen biere, the hooli of Israel, seith these thingis, Y am thi Lord God, techynge thee profitable thingis, and Y gouerne thee in the weie, wher ynne thou goist.
So spricht der HERR, dein Erlöser, der Heilige Israels: Ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, der dich lehrt, was nützlich ist, und dich den Weg leitet, den du wandeln sollst.
18 Y wolde that thou haddist perseyued my comaundementis, thi pees hadde be maad as flood, and thi riytfulnesse as the swolowis of the see;
O daß du auf meine Gebote merktest! So würde dein Friede sein wie ein Wasserstrom und deine Gerechtigkeit wie Meereswellen.
19 and thi seed hadde be as grauel, and the generacioun of thi wombe, as the litle stoonys therof; the name of it hadde not perischid, and hadde not be al to-brokun fro my face.
Dein Same würde sein wie der Sand und die Sprößlinge deines Leibes wie seine Körnlein. Sein Name würde vor meinem Angesicht weder ausgerottet noch vertilgt.
20 Go ye out of Babiloyne, fle ye fro Caldeis; telle ye in the vois of ful out ioiying; make ye this herd, and bere ye it `til to the laste partis of erthe; seie ye, The Lord ayenbouyte his seruaunt Jacob.
Gehet aus von Babel, fliehet von den Chaldäern! Verkündiget es mit jubelnder Stimme! Lasset solches hören! Breitet es aus bis an der Welt Ende und saget: Der HERR hat seinen Knecht Jakob erlöst!
21 Thei thirstiden not in desert, whanne he ladde hem out; he brouyte forth to hem watir of a stoon, and he departide the stoon, and watris flowiden.
Sie litten keinen Durst, als er sie durch die Wüsten führte, Wasser ließ er ihnen aus den Felsen rinnen; er spaltete den Fels, da floß Wasser heraus!
22 Pees is not to wickid men, seith the Lord.
Keinen Frieden, spricht der HERR, gibt es für die Gottlosen!
