Hebrews 1
1 God, that spak sum tyme bi prophetis in many maneres to oure fadris, at the
Dumnezeu, care în multe dăți și în diferite feluri, le-a vorbit odinioară părinților prin profeți,
2 laste in these daies he hath spoke to vs bi the sone; whom he hath ordeyned eir of alle thingis, and bi whom he made the worldis. (aiōn g165)
În aceste zile de pe urmă ne-a vorbit prin Fiul [său], pe care l-a pus moștenitor a toate, prin care a și făcut lumile; (aiōn g165)
3 Which whanne also he is the briytnesse of glorie, and figure of his substaunce, and berith alle thingis bi word of his vertu, he makith purgacioun of synnes, and syttith on the riythalf of the maieste in heuenes;
Care, fiind strălucirea gloriei lui și întipărirea persoanei lui și susținând toate prin cuvântul puterii lui, după ce a făcut prin el însuși curățarea păcatelor noastre, s-a așezat la dreapta Maiestății în înălțime;
4 and so myche is maad betere than aungels, bi hou myche he hath eneritid a more dyuerse name bifor hem.
Fiind făcut cu atât mai bun decât îngerii, cu cât a obținut prin moștenire un nume nespus mai bun decât ei.
5 For to whiche of the aungels seide God ony tyme, Thou art my sone, Y haue gendrid thee to dai? And eftsoone, Y schal be to hym in to a fadir, and he schal be to me in to a sone?
Căci, căruia dintre îngeri i-a spus el vreodată: Tu ești Fiul meu, astăzi te-am născut? Și din nou: Eu îi voi fi Tată și el îmi va fi Fiu?
6 And whanne eftsoone he bryngith in the firste bigetun sone in to the world, he seith, And alle the aungels of God worschipe hym.
Și din nou, când îl aduce în lume pe întâiul născut, el spune: Și să i se închine toți îngerii lui Dumnezeu.
7 But he seith to aungels, He that makith hise aungels spiritis, and hise mynystris flawme of fier.
Și despre îngeri spune: Cel ce îi face pe îngerii lui duhuri și pe servitorii lui o flacără de foc.
8 But to the sone he seith, God, thi trone is in to the world of world; a yerde of equite is the yerde of thi rewme; (aiōn g165)
Dar Fiului îi spune: Tronul tău, Dumnezeule, este pentru totdeauna și întotdeauna; un sceptru al dreptății este sceptrul împărăției tale. (aiōn g165)
9 thou hast louyd riytwisnesse, and hatidist wickidnesse; therfor the God, thi God, anoyntide thee with oile of ioye, more than thi felowis.
Tu ai iubit dreptatea și ai urât nelegiuirea; de aceea Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul tău, te-a uns cu untdelemnul veseliei mai presus de tovarășii tăi;
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the bigynnyng foundidist the erthe, and heuenes ben werkis of thin hondis; thei schulen perische,
Și tu, Doamne, la început ai întemeiat pământul; și cerurile sunt lucrarea mâinilor tale;
11 but thou schalt perfitli dwelle; and alle schulen wexe elde as a cloth, and thou schalt chaunge hem as a cloth,
Ele vor pieri, dar tu rămâi; și toate se vor învechi precum o haină;
12 and thei schulen be chaungid. But thou art the same thi silf, and thi yeeris schulen not faile.
Și ca pe un veșmânt le vei face sul și vor fi schimbate; dar tu ești același; și anii tăi nu vor înceta.
13 But to whiche of the aungels seide God at ony tyme, Sitte thou on my riythalf, till Y putte thin enemyes a stool of thi feet?
Și căruia dintre îngeri i-a spus vreodată: Șezi la dreapta mea, până voi face pe dușmanii tăi sprijinul piciorului tău?
14 Whether thei alle ben not seruynge spiritis, sente to seruen for hem that taken the eritage of heelthe?
Nu sunt toți duhuri servitoare, trimise să servească pentru cei ce vor fi moștenitori ai salvării?
