Genesis 5
1 This is the book of generacioun of Adam, in the dai wher ynne God made man of nouyt. God made man to the ymage and licnesse of God;
C’est ici le livre des générations d’Adam. Au jour où Dieu créa Adam, il le fit à la ressemblance de Dieu.
2 God formede hem male and female, and blesside hem, and clepide the name of hem Adam, in the day in which thei weren formed.
Il les créa mâle et femelle, et les bénit; et il appela leur nom Adam, au jour où ils furent créés.
3 Forsothe Adam lyuede an hundrid yeer and thretti, and gendride a sone to his ymage and liknesse, and clepide his name Seth.
Et Adam vécut 130 ans, et engendra [un fils] à sa ressemblance, selon son image, et appela son nom Seth.
4 And the daies of Adam after that he gendride Seth weren maad eiyte hundrid yeer, and he gendride sones and douytris.
Et les jours d’Adam, après qu’il eut engendré Seth, furent 800 ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
5 And al the tyme in which Adam lyuede was maad nyne hundrid yeer and thretti, and he was deed.
Et tous les jours qu’Adam vécut furent 930 ans; et il mourut.
6 Also Seth lyuede an hundrid and fyue yeer, and gendride Enos.
Et Seth vécut 105 ans, et engendra Énosh.
7 And Seth lyuede aftir that he gendride Enos eiyte hundrid and seuen yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Et Seth, après qu’il eut engendré Énosh, vécut 807 ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
8 And alle the daies of Seth weren maad nyne hundrid and twelue yeer, and he was deed.
Et tous les jours de Seth furent 912 ans; et il mourut.
9 Forsothe Enos lyuede nynti yeer, and gendride Caynan;
Et Énosh vécut 90 ans, et engendra Kénan.
10 aftir whos birthe Enos lyuede eiyte hundrid and fiftene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Et Énosh, après qu’il eut engendré Kénan, vécut 815 ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
11 And alle the daies of Enos weren maad nyne hundrid and fyue yeer, and he was deed.
Et tous les jours d’Énosh furent 905 ans; et il mourut.
12 Also Caynan lyuyde seuenti yeer, and gendride Malalehel.
Et Kénan vécut 70 ans, et engendra Mahalaleël.
13 And Caynan lyuede after that he gendride Malalehel eiyte hundrid and fourti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Et Kénan, après qu’il eut engendré Mahalaleël, vécut 840 ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
14 And alle the dayes of Caynan weren maad nyn hundrid and ten yeer, and he was deed.
Et tous les jours de Kénan furent 910 ans; et il mourut.
15 Forsothe Malalehel lyuede sixti yeer and fyue, and gendride Jared.
Et Mahalaleël vécut 65 ans, et engendra Jéred.
16 And Malalehel lyuede aftir that he gendride Jared eiyte hundrid and thretti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Et Mahalaleël, après qu’il eut engendré Jéred, vécut 830 ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
17 And alle the daies of Malalehel weren maad eiyte hundrid nynti and fyue yeer, and he was deed.
Et tous les jours de Mahalaleël furent 895 ans; et il mourut.
18 And Jared lyuede an hundrid and two and sixti yeer, and gendride Enoth.
Et Jéred vécut 162 ans, et engendra Hénoc.
19 And Jared lyuede aftir that he gendride Enoth eiyte hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Et Jéred, après qu’il eut engendré Hénoc, vécut 800 ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
20 And alle the dayes of Jared weren maad nyn hundrid and twei and sexti yeer, and he was deed.
Et tous les jours de Jéred furent 962 ans; et il mourut.
21 Forsothe Enoth lyuede fyue and sixti yeer, and gendride Matusalem.
Et Hénoc vécut 65 ans, et engendra Methushélah.
22 And Enoth yede with God; and Enoth lyuede after that he gendride Matusalem thre hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Et Hénoc, après qu’il eut engendré Methushélah, marcha avec Dieu 300 ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
23 And alle the daies of Enoth weren maad thre hundride and fyue and sexti yeer.
Et tous les jours de Hénoc furent 365 ans.
24 And Enoth yeed with God, and apperide not afterward, for God took hym awei.
Et Hénoc marcha avec Dieu; et il ne fut plus, car Dieu le prit.
25 Also Matusalem lyuede an hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and seuene, and gendride Lameth.
Et Methushélah vécut 187 ans, et engendra Lémec.
26 And Matusalem lyuede after that he gendride Lameth seuene hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and twei, and gendride sones and douytris.
Et Methushélah, après qu’il eut engendré Lémec, vécut 782 ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
27 And alle the daies of Matusale weren maad nyn hundrid and nyn and sixti yeer, and he was deed.
Et tous les jours de Methushélah furent 969 ans; et il mourut.
28 Forsothe Lameth lyuede an hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and two, and gendride a sone;
Et Lémec vécut 182 ans, et engendra un fils;
29 and clepide his name Noe, and seide, This man schal comforte vs of the werkis and traueilis of oure hondis, in the loond which the Lord curside.
et il appela son nom Noé, disant: Celui-ci nous consolera à l’égard de notre ouvrage et du travail de nos mains, à cause du sol que l’Éternel a maudit.
30 And Lameth lyuede after that he gendride Noe fyue hundrid `nynti and fyue yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Et Lémec, après qu’il eut engendré Noé, vécut 595 ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
31 And alle the daies of Lameth weren maad seuene hundrid `thre scoor and seuentene yeer, and he was deed.
Et tous les jours de Lémec furent 777 ans; et il mourut.
32 Forsothe Noe whanne he was of fyue hundrid yeer gendride Sem, Cham, and Jafeth.
Et Noé était âgé de 500 ans, et Noé engendra Sem, Cham, et Japheth.
