Genesis 11
1 Forsothe the lond was of o langage, and of the same speche.
೧ಆಗ ಭೂಲೋಕದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಒಂದೇ ಭಾಷೆ; ಒಂದೇ ಮಾತು ಇತ್ತು. ಭಾಷಾಭೇದಗಳೇನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
2 And whanne thei yeden forth fro the eest, thei fonden a feeld in the lond of Sennaar, and dwelliden ther ynne.
೨ಜನರು ಪೂರ್ವ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಶಿನಾರ್ ದೇಶದ ಬಯಲು ಸೀಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ನೆಲೆಸಿದರು.
3 And oon seide to his neiybore, Come ye, and make we tiel stonys, and bake we tho with fier; and thei hadden tiel for stonus, and pitche for morter;
೩“ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬನ್ನಿ, ನಾವು ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸುಡೋಣ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರು ಕಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು, ಸುಣ್ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಜೇಡಿಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿದರು.
4 and seiden, Come ye, and make we to vs a citee and tour, whos hiynesse stretche `til to heuene; and make we solempne oure name bifor that we be departid in to alle londis.
೪ಅವರು, “ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಒಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟೋಣ, ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಒಂದು ಗೋಪುರವನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ; ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚದರಿಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಸ್ಪದವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
5 Forsothe the Lord cam down to se the citee and tour, which the sones of Adam bildiden.
೫ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ, ಗೋಪುರವನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದನು.
6 And he seide, Lo! the puple is oon, and o langage is to alle, and thei han bigunne to make this, nethir thei schulen ceesse of her thouytis, til thei fillen tho in werk; therfor come ye, go we doun,
೬ನೋಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ಇವರು ಒಂದೇ ಜನಾಂಗ; ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಒಂದೇ ಭಾಷೆ. ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲೇ ಇವರು ಇಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಯೋಜನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಇವರು ಏನು ಮಾಡಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದರೂ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೂ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
7 and scheende we there the tunge of hem, that ech man here not the voys of his neiybore.
೭ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಮಾತು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದಂತೆ ಇವರ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿ ಮಾಡೋಣ ಬನ್ನಿ” ಎಂದನು.
8 And so the Lord departide hem fro that place in to alle londis; and thei cessiden to bielde a cytee.
೮ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚದರಿಸಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಕಟ್ಟುವುದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
9 And therfor the name therof was clepid Babel, for the langage of al erthe was confoundide there; and fro thennus the Lord scaterede hem on the face of alle cuntrees.
೯ಸಮಸ್ತ ಲೋಕದ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚದರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಬೆಲ್ (ದೇವರ ಬಾಗಿಲು) ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು.
10 These ben the generaciouns of Sem. Sem was of an hundrid yeer whanne he gendride Arfaxath, twey yeer aftir the greet flood.
೧೦ಶೇಮನ ವಂಶವೃಕ್ಷ: ಜಲಪ್ರಳಯವು ಕಳೆದು ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಶೇಮನು ನೂರು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಕ್ಷದನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
11 And Sem lyuede aftir that he gendride Arfaxath fyue hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
೧೧ಶೇಮನು ಅರ್ಪಕ್ಷದನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಐನೂರು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು.
12 Forsothe Arfaxath lyuede fyue and thretti yeer, and gendride Sale;
೧೨ಅರ್ಪಕ್ಷದನು ಮೂವತ್ತೈದು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿ ಶೆಲಹನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
13 and Arfaxath lyuede aftir that he gendride Sale thre hundride and thre yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
೧೩ಅರ್ಪಕ್ಷದನು ಶೆಲಹನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ನಾನೂರ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು.
14 Also Sale lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Heber;
೧೪ಶೆಲಹನು ಮೂವತ್ತನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿ ಎಬರನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
15 and Sale lyuede after that he gendride Heber foure hundrid and thre yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
೧೫ಶೆಲಹನು ಎಬರನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ನಾನೂರ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು.
16 Sotheli Heber lyuede foure and thretti yeer, and gendride Falech;
೧೬ಎಬರನು ಮೂವತ್ತನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿ ಪೆಲೆಗನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
17 and Heber lyuede aftir that he gendride Falech foure hundrid and thretti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
೧೭ಎಬರನು ಪೆಲೆಗನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ನಾನೂರ ಮೂವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು.
18 Also Falech lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Reu;
೧೮ಪೆಲೆಗನು ಮೂವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿ ರೆಗೂವನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
19 and Falech lyuede aftir that he gendride Reu two hundrid and nyne yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
೧೯ಪೆಲೆಗನು ರೆಗೂವನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಇನ್ನೂರ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು.
20 And Reu lyuede two and thretti yeer, and gendride Saruch;
೨೦ರೆಗೂವನು ಮೂವತ್ತೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿ ಸೆರೂಗನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
21 and Reu lyuede aftir that he gendride Saruch two hundrid and seuene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
೨೧ಸೆರೂಗನು ರೆಗೂವನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಇನ್ನೂರ ಏಳು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು.
22 Sotheli Saruch lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Nachor;
೨೨ಸೆರೂಗನು ಮೂವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿ ನಾಹೋರನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
23 and Saruch lyuede aftir that he gendride Nacor two hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
೨೩ಸೆರೂಗನು ನಾಹೋರನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಇನ್ನೂರು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು.
24 Forsothe Nachor lyuede nyne and twenti yeer, and gendride Thare;
೨೪ನಾಹೋರನು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿ ತೆರಹನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
25 and Nachor lyuede after that he gendride Thare an hundrid and nynetene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
೨೫ನಾಹೋರ್ ತೆರಹನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ನೂರ ಹತ್ತೊಂಬತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು.
26 And Thare lyuede seuenti yeer, and gendride Abram, and Nachor, and Aran.
೨೬ತೆರಹನು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿ ಅಬ್ರಾಮ, ನಾಹೋರ್, ಹಾರಾನ್ ಎಂಬ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
27 Sotheli these ben the generaciouns of Thare. Thare gendride Abram, Nachor, and Aran. Forsothe Aran gendride Loth;
೨೭ತೆರಹನ ವಂಶದವರ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಯು: ತೆರಹನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮ, ನಾಹೋರ್, ಹಾರಾನ್ ಎಂಬುವರನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು. ಹಾರಾನನು ಲೋಟನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
28 and Aran diede bifore Thare, his fadir, in the lond of his natiuite, in Vr of Caldeis.
೨೮ಹಾರಾನನು ತಾನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆ ಕಲ್ದೀಯರ ಊರ್ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ತೆರಹನ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಸತ್ತನು.
29 Forsothe Abram and Nachor weddiden wyues; the name of the wijf of Abram was Saray, and the name of the wiif of Nachor was Melcha, the douyter of Aran, fadir of Melcha and fadir of Jescha.
೨೯ಅಬ್ರಾಮನೂ ನಾಹೋರನೂ ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅಬ್ರಾಮನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಸಾರಯಳು, ನಾಹೋರನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಮಿಲ್ಕಾ. ಈಕೆಯು ಹಾರಾನನ ಮಗಳು; ಹಾರಾನನು ಮಿಲ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಇಸ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ತಂದೆ.
30 Sotheli Saray was bareyn, and hadde no children.
೩೦ಸಾರಯಳು ಬಂಜೆಯಾಗಿದುದರಿಂದ ಆಕೆಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
31 And so Thare took Abram, his sone, and Loth, the sone of Aran his sone, and Saray, his douyter in lawe, the wijf of Abram, his sone, and ledde hem out of Vr of Caldeis, that thei schulen go in to the lond of Chanaan; and thei camen `til to Aran, and dwelliden there.
೩೧ತೆರಹನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನನ್ನೂ, ತನಗೆ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೂ, ಹಾರಾನನಿಗೆ ಮಗನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಲೋಟನನ್ನೂ, ತನಗೆ ಸೊಸೆಯೂ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಸಾರಯಳನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕಲ್ದೀಯರ ಊರ್ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರು ಹಾರಾನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
32 And the daies of Thare weren maad two hundrid yeer and fyue, and he was deed in Aran.
೩೨ತೆರಹನು ಇನ್ನೂರ ಐದು ವರ್ಷ ಬದುಕಿ ನಂತರ ಹಾರಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನು.
