< James 4 >
1 Whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence? even of your carnal appetites making war in your bodies?
Wilei nuhutani mung'wanyu upumile pee? Shangauukie munsula yanyunee nimbe nuukuleta imbita muihangwili wanyu?
2 Ye desire, and ye have not: ye are envious, and jealous, and cannot obtain: ye fight and contend; but ye have not, because ye ask not.
Mukite insula ike nimiagila. Mukubulaga nukiduma ikenimiagila uhumi kutula nikenso. Mukikua nukilea, hangi mukile mupate kunsoko shangamunulompile Itunda.
3 Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask wickedly; that ye may spend it in your pleasures.
Mukulompa shanga mukupegwa kunsoko mukulompa mupegwe mitumile munkani nimbe, inge muhume kitumila munsula yanyu nimbe.
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity to God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
Unye asambo! Shamulingilene kina ishumbashuya nuunku mbigulu kina ulugu kung'wi Tunda.
5 Do ye think the scripture speaks in vain? or does the Spirit that dwelleth in us, excite to envy?
Ang'wi mulingile inkilele inge ngila anga ndogoelyo niilungile kina ung'waung'welu nukule mukate itu ukete wilu ukulu kunsoko itu.
6 No, He giveth more grace: wherefore it is said, God resisteth the proud, but sheweth favor to the humble.
Ingi Itunda wipumya ukende kukila, yeyo ndogoilyo inkeele ilungile, Itunda wimugilya nulugoha, inge wemupeza ukende uyu nuisima.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God: resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Iti ipumyi kung'wi Tunda, mugilyi umulugu nung'wenso ukumanka ukuhega kung'wanyu.
8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you: cleanse your hands, O sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Humbeeli pakupe ni Tunda, nung'wenso ukumuhumbila pakupenunyenye. Kalali imikono anyu, unye nimiamilando, hangi melye inkolo yanyu, unye nimeailya.
9 Be grieved, and mourn, and weep: let your mirth be turned into mourning, and your joy to sadness.
Tuli nuukia muhongelye, hangi mulile! Peuli imaheko anyu atule ukea nuulowa wanyu utule uhongelya.
10 Be humbled before the Lord, and He will exalt you.
Misimye unyenye ntongeela ang'wa Bwana, uzizamuhumbula migolya.
11 Speak not against one another, my brethren; he that speaketh against his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh against the law, and judgeth the law; but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
Muleke kitambula nyenye kwa nyenye, muluna, umuntu nukutambula nimabe kumuluna ang'we akumusemela milagolang'wi Tunda. Angamulisemele ilago, shangamugombile ilago inge mulisemee.
12 Now there is but one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou then that judgest another?
Inge ung'wedu numupumya ilago nitai, Itunda, ng'wenso ukete uhumi nuokuguna nukulimilya uwe wenyenyu nukumulamuila umunyakesali?
13 Come now, ye that say, To-day or to-morrow we will go to such a city, and spend a year there, and trade and get gain;
Sitegelyi, unye nimilunga, Leloang'we mudau kinzu mukisale ike, nukikie ung'waka uwu, nukuduma nukutugisa nsao.
14 (though ye know not what will be on the morrow; for what is your life? a vapor, which appeareth for a little while, and then vanisheth away: ) whereas ye ought to say,
Nyenyu nulingile kina ntuninikapumila mudau, nulikalo lanyu ntuni gwaa? Kunsoko mimyani nikuhi nuigeela matungo makupi sunga wikalimila.
15 If the Lord will, and we should live, and do this or that:
Angaaza mulunge, angeze ulowa wang'wa Bwana, kuikie nokituma ike neko.
16 but ye glory in your presumption: all such glorying is wicked.
Inge itungiile mekaaona mumasego anyu. Uwioni wihi uujuinge ube.
17 To him therefore that knoweth to do good, and doth it not, to him it is sin.
Kuitegwa uyu numanyile kituma nimaza sunga shaikituma kung'wakwe nuanso mulandu.
