< Psalms 142 >

1 A contemplation by David, when he was in the cave. A Prayer. I cry with my voice to the LORD. With my voice, I ask the LORD for mercy.
Maskila nataon’ i Davida tamin’ izy tao anaty lavaka. Fivavahana. Ny feoko no itarainako amin’ i Jehovah; Ny feoko no ifonako amin’ i Jehovah.
2 I pour out my complaint before him. I tell him my troubles.
Loarako eo anatrehany ny fitarainako; Ambarako eo anatrehany ny fahoriako.
3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, you knew my route. On the path in which I walk, they have hidden a snare for me.
Raha reraka ato anatiko ny fanahiko, dia fantatro ny alehako; Eo amin’ ny lalana izorako No nanafenany fandrika hamandrihany ahy.
4 Look on my right, and see; for there is no one who is concerned for me. Refuge has fled from me. No one cares for my soul.
Jereo eo ankavanana, ka izahao, Fa tsy misy olona mahalala ahy; Foana avokoa ny fiarovana ahy; Tsy misy miahy ny fanahiko.
5 I cried to you, LORD. I said, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
Mitaraina aminao aho, Jehovah ô; Hoy izaho: Hianao no aroko Sy anjarako eo amin’ ny tanin’ ny velona.
6 Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.
Henoy ny fitarainako, Fa reraka indrindra aho; Vonjeo aho amin’ ny mpanenjika ahy, Fa tsy leoko ireny.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. The righteous will surround me, for you will be good to me.
Avoahy hiala amin’ ny tranomaizina ny fanahiko, Mba hiderako ny anaranao; Hanodidina ahy ny marina, Satria manisy soa ahy Hianao.
