< Psalms 14 >
1 For the Chief Musician. By David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.
Fún adarí orin. Ti Dafidi. Aṣiwèrè wí nínú ọkàn rẹ̀ pé, “Ko sí Ọlọ́run.” Wọ́n díbàjẹ́, iṣẹ́ wọn sì burú; kò sí ẹnìkan tí yóò ṣe rere.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.
Olúwa sì bojú wolẹ̀ láti ọ̀run wá lórí àwọn ọmọ ènìyàn bóyá ó le rí ẹni tí òye yé, ẹnikẹ́ni tó ń wá Ọlọ́run.
3 They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
Gbogbo wọn sì ti yípadà, gbogbo wọn sì ti díbàjẹ́; kò sì ṣí ẹni tí ó ń ṣe rere, kò sí ẹnìkan.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on the LORD?
Ǹjẹ́ olùṣe búburú kò ha ní ìmọ̀? Àwọn tí ó ń pa ènìyàn mi jẹ bí ẹní jẹun; wọn kò sì ké pe Olúwa?
5 There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.
Wọ́n wà níbẹ̀, tí a bò mọ́lẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ẹ̀rù, nítorí Ọlọ́run wà ní àwùjọ àwọn olódodo.
6 You frustrate the plan of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
Ẹ̀yin olùṣe búburú da èrò àwọn tálákà rú, ṣùgbọ́n Olúwa ni ààbò wọn.
7 Oh that the salvation [yeshuat] of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
Ìgbàlà àwọn Israẹli yóò ti Sioni wá! Nígbà tí Olúwa bá mú ìkólọ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ padà, jẹ́ kí Jakọbu kí ó yọ̀, kí inú Israẹli kí ó dùn!
