< Deuteronomy 5 >
1 Moses called to all Israel, and said to them, “Hear, Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I speak in your ears today, that you may learn them, and observe to do them.”
Ary Mosesy niantso ny Isiraely rehetra ka nanao taminy hoe: Ry Isiraely ô, mihainoa ny didy sy ny fitsipika izay lazaiko eto anatrehanareo anio, ka ianaro ireo, sy mitandrema mba hankatò azy.
2 The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
Jehovah Andriamanitsika nanao fanekena tamintsika tany Horeba;
3 The LORD didn’t make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive today.
tsy tamin’ ny razantsika no nanaovan’ i Jehovah izany fanekena izany, fa tamintsika, dia isika rehetra izay samy mbola velona eto anio.
4 The LORD spoke with you face to face on the mountain out of the middle of the fire,
Niteny nifanatrika taminareo Jehovah tao an-tendrombohitra, tao amin’ ny afo.
5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to show you the LORD’s word; for you were afraid because of the fire, and didn’t go up onto the mountain) saying,
Izaho nitsangana teo anelanelan’ i Jehovah sy ianareo tamin’ izany andro izany, hanambara aminareo ny tenin’ i Jehovah, fa natahotra noho ny fahitana ny afo ianareo ka tsy niakatra tao amin’ ny tendrombohitra, ka hoy Izy:
6 “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Izaho no Jehovah Andriamanitrao, Izay nitondra anao nivoaka avy tany amin’ ny tany Egypta, tamin’ ny trano nahandevozana.
7 “You shall have no other gods before me.
Aza manana andriamani-kafa, fa Izaho ihany.
8 “You shall not make a carved image for yourself—any likeness of what is in heaven above, or what is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Aza manao sarin-javatra voasokitra ho anao, na ny mety ho endriky ny zavatra any amin’ ny lanitra ambony, na izay etỳ amin’ ny tany ambany, na izay any amin’ ny rano ambanin’ ny tany.
9 You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me
Aza miankohoka eo anatrehany, ary aza manompo azy; fa Izaho, Jehovah Andriamanitrao, dia Andriamanitra saro-piaro ka mamaly ny heloky ny ray amin’ ny zanaka hatramin’ ny zafiafy sy ny zafindohalika, dia amin’ izay mankahala Ahy,
10 and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
nefa kosa mamindra fo amin’ ny olona arivo mandimby, izay tia Ahy ka mitandrina ny didiko.
11 “You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who misuses his name.
Aza manonona foana ny anaran’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao; fa tsy hataon’ i Jehovah ho tsy manan-tsiny izay manonona foana ny anarany.
12 “Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the LORD your God commanded you.
Mitandrema ny andro Sabata hanamasima azy, araka izay nandidian’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao.
13 You shall labour six days, and do all your work;
Henemana no hiasanao sy hanaovanao ny raharahanao rehetra.
14 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God, in which you shall not do any work—neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
15 You shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
Ary tsarovy fa andevo tany amin’ ny tany Egypta ianao, ka tanana mahery sy sandry nahinjitra no nitondran’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao nivoaka avy tany; izany no nandidian’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao hitandrina ny andro Sabata.
16 “Honour your father and your mother, as the LORD your God commanded you, that your days may be long and that it may go well with you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
Manajà ny rainao sy ny reninao, araka izay nandidian’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao, mba ho maro andro ianao, ary mba hahita soa any amin’ ny tany izay omen’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ho anao.
17 “You shall not murder.
Aza mamono olona.
18 “You shall not commit adultery.
Ary aza mijangajanga.
20 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbour.
Ary aza mety ho vavolombelona mandainga hanameloka ny namanao.
21 “You shall not covet your neighbour’s wife. Neither shall you desire your neighbour’s house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbour’s.”
Ary aza mitsiriritra ny vadin’ ny namanao; ary aza mitsiriritra ny tranon’ ny namanao, na ny taniny, na ny ankizilahiny, na ny ankizivaviny, na ny ombiny, na ny borikiny, na izay mety ho an’ ny namanao akory aza.
22 The LORD spoke these words to all your assembly on the mountain out of the middle of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice. He added no more. He wrote them on two stone tablets, and gave them to me.
Ireo teny ireo no nolazain’ i Jehovah tamin’ ny feo mahery tao amin’ ny afo sy ny rahona ary ny aizim-pito, raha nivory tany an-tendrombohitra ianareo, ka dia tsy nampiany intsony; ary nosoratany tamin’ ny vato fisaka roa ireo ka natolony ahy.
23 When you heard the voice out of the middle of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
Ary rehefa renareo ny feo avy tao amin’ ny aizina, raha nirehitra afo ny tendrombohitra, dia nanatona ahy ianareo, dia ny loham-pirenenareo rehetra sy ny loholonareo,
24 and you said, “Behold, the LORD our God has shown us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the middle of the fire. We have seen today that God does speak with man, and he lives.
ka hoy ianareo: Indro, efa nampahitain’ i Jehovah Andriamanitsika ny voninahiny sy ny fahalehibiazany isika, ary efa rentsika ny feony avy tao amin’ ny afo; koa efa hitantsika androany fa Andriamanitra miteny amin’ ny olona, nefa velona ihany izy.
25 Now therefore, why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we hear the LORD our God’s voice any more, then we shall die.
Koa ankehitriny, nahoana no ho faty izahay? fa handevona anay io afo lehibe io; raha mbola mandre ny feon’ i Jehovah Andriamanitsika indray izahay, dia ho faty.
26 For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the middle of the fire, as we have, and lived?
Fa iza moa tamin’ ny nofo rehetra no efa nandre ny feon’ Andriamanitra velona niteny tao afovoan’ ny afo, tahaka antsika, ka velona ihany?
27 Go near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say, and tell us all that the LORD our God tells you; and we will hear it, and do it.”
Manatòna ianao, ka mihainoa izay rehetra holazain’ i Jehovah Andriamanitsika; ary ianao no aoka hilaza aminay izay rehetra holazain’ i Jehovah Andriamanitsika aminao, dia hohenoinay ka harahinay izany.
28 The LORD heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me; and the LORD said to me, “I have heard the voice of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. They have well said all that they have spoken.
Ary Jehovah nandre ny teninareo, raha niteny tamiko ianareo, ka hoy Izy tamiko: Efa reko ny tenin’ ireo olona ireo, izay nolazainy taminao, ka tsara izay rehetra nolazainy.
29 Oh that there were such a heart in them that they would fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!
Enga anie ka mba hanana fo toy izany izy hatahorany Ahy sy hitandremany ny didiko rehetra mandrakariva, mba hahita soa izy sy ny taranany mandrakizay
30 “Go tell them, ‘Return to your tents.’
Mandehana, ka lazao aminy hoe: Miverena any an-dainareo ianareo.
31 But as for you, stand here by me, and I will tell you all the commandments, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess.”
Fa ianao kosa dia mijanòna eto anilako, ka holazaiko aminao ny lalàna rehetra sy ny didy ary ny fitsipika, izay hampianarinao azy mba harahiny any amin’ ny tany izay omeko azy ho lovany.
32 You shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God has commanded you. You shall not turn away to the right hand or to the left.
Koa tandremo mba hanao araka izay efa nandidian’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo anareo; aza mivily, na ho amin’ ny ankavanana, na ho amin’ ny ankavia;
33 You shall walk in all the way which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.
fa ny lalana rehetra izay nandidian’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo anareo no halehanareo, mba ho velona ianareo ka hahita soa, ary ho maro andro any amin’ ny tany izay holovanareo.
