< Jeremiah 45 >
1 The message that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,
Eyi ne nsɛm a odiyifo Yeremia ka kyerɛɛ Neria babarima Baruk wɔ Yudahene Yosia babarima Yehoiakim adedi afe a ɛto so anan no mu, bere a na Baruk akyerɛw nsɛm a efi Yeremia anom no agu nhoma mmobɔwee bi mu.
2 “Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to you, Baruch:
“Sɛɛ na Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn, ka kyerɛ wo, Baruk:
3 ‘You said, “Woe is me now! For Yahweh has added sorrow to my pain! I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest.”’
Wokae se, ‘Nnome nka me! Awurade de awerɛhow aka me yawdi ho; apinisi ne ɔbrɛ ama mʼahoɔden asa.’
4 “You shall tell him, Yahweh says: ‘Behold, that which I have built, I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.
Awurade kae se, ‘Ka eyi kyerɛ no: Nea Awurade se ni: Mɛsɛe nea makyekyere na matu nea madua no ase wɔ asase no so nyinaa.
5 Do you seek great things for yourself? Don’t seek them; for, behold, I will bring evil on all flesh,’ says Yahweh, ‘but I will let you escape with your life wherever you go.’”
Enti ɛsɛ sɛ wopɛ nneɛma akɛse ma wo ho ana? Nyɛ saa. Efisɛ mede amanehunu bɛba nnipa nyinaa so, Awurade na ose, nanso baabiara a wobɛkɔ no, mɛbɔ wo ho ban.’”
