Psalms 57
1 For the Chief Musician. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A poem by David, when he fled from Saul, in the cave. Be merciful to me, God, be merciful to me, for my soul takes refuge in you. Yes, in the shadow of your wings, I will take refuge, until disaster has passed.
੧ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਲ-ਤਸ਼ਹੇਤ ਰਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਮਿਕਤਾਮ; ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਗੁਫ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਯਾ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਯਾ ਕਰ! ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਲਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਦੀ ਛਾਇਆ ਹੇਠ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਿਰ ਇਹ ਆਫ਼ਤਾਂ ਨਾ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਣ।
2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who accomplishes my requests for me.
੨ਮੈ ਅੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਾਂਗਾ, ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਪੂਰਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
3 He will send from heaven, and save me, he rebukes the one who is pursuing me. (Selah) God will send out his loving kindness and his truth.
੩ਉਹ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਧਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਲਹ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਯਾ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਘੱਲੇਗਾ।
4 My soul is among lions. I lie among those who are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
੪ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਮੈ ਭਾਂਬੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਆਦਮ ਵੰਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੇਟਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੰਦ ਬਰਛੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਤੀਰ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੀਭ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ।
5 Be exalted, God, above the heavens! Let your glory be above all the earth!
੫ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੋ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਹੋਵੇ!
6 They have prepared a net for my steps. My soul is bowed down. They dig a pit before me. They fall into the middle of it themselves. (Selah)
੬ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਜਾਲ਼ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਝੁੱਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਟੋਆ ਪੁੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ। ਸਲਹ।
7 My heart is steadfast, God. My heart is steadfast. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises.
੭ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਕਾਇਮ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਕਾਇਮ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਭਜਨ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ!
8 Wake up, my glory! Wake up, lute and harp! I will wake up the dawn.
੮ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ, ਜਾਗ! ਹੇ ਸਿਤਾਰ ਤੇ ਬਰਬਤ, ਜਾਗੋ! ਮੈਂ ਫਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜਾਗਾਂਗਾ!
9 I will give thanks to you, Lord, among the peoples. I will sing praises to you among the nations.
੯ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਅਰਾਧਨਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ!
10 For your great loving kindness reaches to the heavens, and your truth to the skies.
੧੦ਤੇਰੀ ਦਯਾ ਤਾਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੱਕ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ।
11 Be exalted, God, above the heavens. Let your glory be over all the earth.
੧੧ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੋ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਹੋਵੇ!
