Psalms 140

1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;

بۆ گەورەی گۆرانیبێژان، زەبوورێکی داود. ئەی یەزدان، لە کەسی بەدکار دەربازم بکە، لە پیاوی توندوتیژ بمپارێزە،

2 Who imagine mischiefs in [their] heart; continually are they assembled [for] war.

ئەوانەی لە دڵەوە بیر لە خراپە دەکەنەوە و هەموو ڕۆژێک خەریکی شەڕانگێزین.

3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adder's poison [is] under their lips. (Selah)

زمانیان وەک زمانی مار تیژکردووە، ژەهری تیرەمار لەژێر لێویانە.

4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

ئەی یەزدان، لە دەست بەدکار ئاگادارم بە، لە پیاوی توندوتیژ بمپارێزە، ئەوانەی پیلانیان داناوە بۆ ئەوەی قاچم بخلیسکێنن.

5 The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the way side: they have set gins for me. (Selah)

لووتبەرزان تەڵەیان بۆم ناوەتەوە، پەت و تۆڕیان بڵاو کردووەتەوە، لە دەم ڕێگا داویان بۆم ناوەتەوە.

6 I said to the LORD, Thou [art] my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.

بە یەزدانم گوت: «تۆ خودای منی!» ئەی یەزدان، گوێ لە دەنگی پاڕانەوەم بگرە.

7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

ئەی یەزدانی پەروەردگار، هێزی ڕزگاریم، لە ڕۆژی شەڕدا سەری منت داپۆشی.

8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; [lest] they exalt themselves. (Selah)

ئەی یەزدان، ئارەزووەکانی بەدکار مەهێنە دی، لێمەگەڕێ پیلانەکانی سەربگرێت، بۆ ئەوەی لووتبەرز نەبن.

9 [As for] the head of those that encompass me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

با سەری ئەوانەی دەوریان داوم بە خراپەی لێویان بپۆشرێن،

10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not again.

با پشکۆیان بەسەردا ببارێت، بکەونە ناو ئاگرەوە، بکەونە ناو چاڵەوە، ڕاست نەبنەوە.

11 Let not an evil speaker be established on the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow [him].

با بوختانکەر لەسەر زەوی جێگیر نەبێت، با کەسی توندوتیژ ببێتە نێچیری خراپە.

12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, [and] the right of the poor.

دەزانم یەزدان دادپەروەری دەکات بۆ هەژاران، ماف دەدات بە نەداران.

13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

بێگومان ڕاستودروستان ستایشی ناوت دەکەن، سەرڕاستان لە ئامادەبوونت دادەنیشن.
