Psalms 118
1 O give thanks to the LORD; for [he is] good: because his mercy [endureth] for ever.
সদাপ্রভুর ধন্যবাদ করো, কারণ তিনি মঙ্গলময়; তাঁর দয়া অনন্তকালস্থায়ী।
2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.
ইস্রায়েল বলুক: “তাঁর দয়া অনন্তকালস্থায়ী।”
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.
হারোণের কুল বলুক: “তাঁর দয়া অনন্তকালস্থায়ী।”
4 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.
যারা সদাপ্রভুকে সম্ভ্রম করে তারা বলুক: “তাঁর দয়া অনন্তকালস্থায়ী।”
5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, [and set me] in a large place.
মনোবেদনায় আমি সদাপ্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করলাম, তিনি আমাকে প্রশস্ত স্থানে নিয়ে এলেন।
6 The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do to me?
সদাপ্রভু আমার সঙ্গে আছেন; আমি ভীত হব না। সামান্য মানুষ আমার কী করতে পারে?
7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see [my desire] upon them that hate me.
সদাপ্রভু আমার সঙ্গে আছেন; তিনি আমার সহায়। আমি বিজয়ীর দৃষ্টিতে আমার শত্রুদের দিকে দেখব।
8 [It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
মানুষের উপর আস্থা রাখার চেয়ে সদাপ্রভুর কাছে শরণ নেওয়া শ্রেয়।
9 [It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
অধিপতিদের উপর আস্থা রাখার চেয়ে সদাপ্রভুর কাছে শরণ নেওয়া শ্রেয়।
10 All nations encompassed me: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.
সব জাতি আমাকে ঘিরে ধরেছিল, কিন্তু সদাপ্রভুর নামে আমি তাদের উচ্ছেদ করেছি।
11 They encompassed me; yes, they encompassed me: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
তারা আমাকে চতুর্দিকে ঘিরে ধরেছিল, কিন্তু সদাপ্রভুর নামে আমি তাদের উচ্ছেদ করেছি।
12 They encompassed me like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
তারা মৌমাছির মতো আমাকে ছেঁকে ধরেছিল, কিন্তু কাঁটার আগুনের মতো অচিরেই তারা নিভে গেল; সদাপ্রভুর নামে আমি তাদের উচ্ছেদ করেছি।
13 Thou hast violently thrust at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.
আমার শত্রুরা আমাকে হত্যা করার জন্য প্রবল চেষ্টা করেছিল কিন্তু সদাপ্রভু আমাকে সাহায্য করেছিলেন।
14 The LORD [is] my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
সদাপ্রভু আমার বল ও আমার সুরক্ষা; তিনি আমার পরিত্রাণ হয়েছেন।
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation [is] in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
ধার্মিকের শিবিরে শোনা গেল আনন্দের জয়ধ্বনি আর বিজয়ের উল্লাস: “সদাপ্রভুর ডান হাত মহান কাজ সম্পন্ন করেছে!
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
সদাপ্রভুর ডান হাত উন্নত হয়েছে; সদাপ্রভুর ডান হাত মহান কাজ সম্পন্ন করেছে!”
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
আমি মরব না, বরং জীবিত থাকব, আর সদাপ্রভু যা করেছেন তা ঘোষণা করব।
18 The LORD hath chastened me severely: but he hath not given me over to death.
সদাপ্রভু আমাকে কঠোরভাবে শাসন করেছেন, তবুও তিনি আমাকে মৃত্যুর হাতে সমর্পণ করেননি।
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will enter them, [and] I will praise the LORD:
আমার জন্য ধার্মিকদের দরজাগুলি খুলে দাও; আমি প্রবেশ করব আর সদাপ্রভুর ধন্যবাদ করব।
20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
এটি সদাপ্রভুর দরজা, ধার্মিকরা যার মধ্য দিয়ে প্রবেশ করবে।
21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
আমি তোমাকে ধন্যবাদ জানাব কারণ তুমি আমাকে সাড়া দিয়েছ; তুমি আমার পরিত্রাণ হয়েছ।
22 The stone [which] the builders refused is become the head [stone] of the corner.
গাঁথকেরা যে পাথরটি অগ্রাহ্য করেছিল তাই হয়ে উঠল কোণের প্রধান পাথর।
23 This is the LORD'S doing; it [is] wonderful in our eyes.
সদাপ্রভু এটি করেছেন আর তা আমাদের দৃষ্টিতে অবিশ্বাস্য।
24 This [is] the day [which] the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
আজকের এই দিন সদাপ্রভু সৃষ্টি করেছেন; আমরা আনন্দ করব এবং খুশি হব।
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাদের রক্ষা করো! হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাদের সফলতা দাও।
26 Blessed [be] he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.
ধন্য সেই ব্যক্তি যিনি সদাপ্রভুর নামে আসেন। সদাপ্রভুর গৃহ থেকে আমরা তোমাদের আশীর্বাদ করি।
27 God [is] the LORD, who hath shown us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, [even] to the horns of the altar.
সদাপ্রভুই ঈশ্বর, এবং তিনি তাঁর জ্যোতি আমাদের উপর দিয়েছেন। বলির পশু নাও, আর দড়ি দিয়ে তা বেদির উপর বেঁধে রাখো।
28 Thou [art] my God, and I will praise thee: [thou art] my God, I will exalt thee.
তুমি আমার ঈশ্বর, আর আমি তোমার প্রশংসা করব; তুমি আমার ঈশ্বর, আর আমি তোমার মহিমা করব।
29 O give thanks to the LORD; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.
সদাপ্রভুর ধন্যবাদ করো, কারণ তিনি মঙ্গলময়; তাঁর দয়া অনন্তকালস্থায়ী।
