Proverbs 10
1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son [is] the heaviness of his mother.
ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ହିତୋପଦେଶ। ଜ୍ଞାନବାନ ପୁତ୍ର ପିତାର ଆନନ୍ଦ ଜନ୍ମାଏ; କିନ୍ତୁ ହୀନବୁଦ୍ଧି ପୁତ୍ର ତାହା ମାତାର ଶୋକର କାରଣ।
2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା-ଜାତ ଧନ କିଛି ଫଳ ଦିଏ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକତା ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁରୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରେ।
3 The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଧାର୍ମିକର ପ୍ରାଣକୁ କ୍ଷୁଧାରେ କ୍ଷୀଣ ହେବାକୁ ଦେବେ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ସେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟର କାମନା ସଫଳ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
4 He becometh poor that dealeth [with] a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଶିଥିଳ ହସ୍ତରେ କର୍ମ କରେ, ସେ ଦରିଦ୍ର ହୁଅଇ; ମାତ୍ର କର୍ମଶୀଳର ହସ୍ତ ଧନବାନ କରେ।
5 He that gathereth in summer [is] a wise son: [but] he that sleepeth in harvest [is] a son that causeth shame.
ଗ୍ରୀଷ୍ମକାଳରେ ଯେ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରେ, ସେ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ପୁତ୍ର; ମାତ୍ର ଫସଲ ସମୟରେ ଯେ ନିଦ୍ରିତ ଥାଏ, ସେହି ପୁତ୍ର ଲଜ୍ଜାଜନକ।
6 Blessings [are] upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
ଧାର୍ମିକର ମସ୍ତକରେ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ବର୍ତ୍ତେ; ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ମୁଖ ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ଢାଙ୍କେ।
7 The memory of the just [is] blessed: but the name of the wicked shall perish.
ଧାର୍ମିକର ସ୍ମରଣ ଧନ୍ୟ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ନାମ ପଚିଯିବ।
8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
ଯେ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣରେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ, ସେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ; ମାତ୍ର ମୂର୍ଖ ପତିତ ହେବ।
9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
ସରଳାଚାରୀ ନିର୍ଭୟରେ ଚାଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ବକ୍ରଗାମୀ ଜଣା ପଡ଼ିବ।
10 He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
ଯେ ଆଖିରେ ଠାର ମାରେ, ସେ ଦୁଃଖ ଜନ୍ମାଏ, ପୁଣି, ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ବକୁଆ ପତିତ ହେବ।
11 The mouth of a righteous [man is] a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
ଧାର୍ମିକର ମୁଖ ଜୀବନର ନିର୍ଝର, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ମୁଖ ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ଢାଙ୍କେ।
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
ହିଂସା କଳି ଜନ୍ମାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରେମ ସବୁ ଅଧର୍ମ ଢାଙ୍କେ।
13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod [is] for the back of him that is void of understanding.
ସୁବିବେକୀର ଓଷ୍ଠରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଥାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ନିର୍ବୋଧର ପିଠି ପାଇଁ ବାଡ଼ି।
14 Wise [men] lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish [is] near destruction.
ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନେ ବିଦ୍ୟା ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ଅଜ୍ଞାନର ମୁଖ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ବିନାଶ ସ୍ୱରୂପ।
15 The rich man's wealth [is] his strong city: the destruction of the poor [is] their poverty.
ଧନୀର ଧନ ତାହାର ଦୃଢ଼ ନଗର, ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ଦରିଦ୍ରତା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିନାଶ।
16 The labor of the righteous [tendeth] to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
ଧାର୍ମିକର ପରିଶ୍ରମ ଜୀବନଜନକ, ପୁଣି, ଅଧାର୍ମିକର ଆୟ ପାପଜନକ।
17 He [is in] the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
ଉପଦେଶ ଯେ ମାନେ, ସେ ଜୀବନ-ପଥରେ ଚାଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ଅନୁଯୋଗ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରେ, ସେ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୁଏ।
18 He that hideth hatred [with] lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, [is] a fool.
ଯେ ହିଂସା ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରେ, ତାହାର ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ; ପୁଣି, ଯେ ଅପବାଦ ରଚନା କରେ, ସେ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ।
19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that restraineth his lips [is] wise.
ବହୁ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ଅଧର୍ମର ଅଭାବ ନ ଥାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ଆପଣା ଓଷ୍ଠାଧରକୁ ଦମନ କରେ, ସେ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ।
20 The tongue of the just [is as] choice silver: the heart of the wicked [is] little worth.
ଧାର୍ମିକର ଜିହ୍ୱା ମନୋନୀତ ରୂପା ତୁଲ୍ୟ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ହୃଦୟ ଅଳ୍ପ ମୂଲ୍ୟ।
21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
ଧାର୍ମିକର ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ଅନେକଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିପାଳନ କରେ, ମାତ୍ର ଅଜ୍ଞାନମାନେ ନିର୍ବୋଧତା ସକାଶୁ ମରନ୍ତି।
22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଧନବାନ କରେ, ପୁଣି, ସେ ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଦୁଃଖ ଯୋଗ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
23 [It is] as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
କୁକ୍ରିୟା କରିବାର ଅଜ୍ଞାନର କୌତୁକ, ସେହିପରି ଜ୍ଞାନ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଲୋକର।
24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ଯାହା ଭୟ କରେ, ତାହା ହିଁ ତାହା ପ୍ରତି; ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକର ମନୋବାଞ୍ଛା ତାହାକୁ ଦିଆଯିବ।
25 As the whirlwind passeth, so [is] the wicked no [more]: but the righteous [is] an everlasting foundation.
ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାୟୁ ବହିଲେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଆଉ ନ ଥାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳସ୍ଥାୟୀ ମୂଳଦୁଆ ସ୍ୱରୂପ।
26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so [is] the sluggard to them that send him.
ଯେପରି ଦନ୍ତକୁ କଟୁ ରସ ଓ ଚକ୍ଷୁକୁ ଧୂଆଁ, ସେପରି ଆପଣା ପ୍ରେରକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅଳସୁଆ।
27 The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିଷୟକ ଭୟ ଦିନ ବଢ଼ାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ବର୍ଷ ଊଣା କରାଯିବ।
28 The hope of the righteous [shall be] gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
ଧାର୍ମିକର ଆଶା ଆନନ୍ଦଜନକ ହେବ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ଭରସା କ୍ଷୟ ପାଇବ।
29 The way of the LORD [is] strength to the upright: but destruction [shall be] to the workers of iniquity.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପଥ ସରଳାଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଢ଼ ଗଡ଼; ମାତ୍ର କୁକର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ତାହା ବିନାଶଜନକ।
30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
ଧାର୍ମିକ କେବେ ହେଁ ଘୁଞ୍ଚା ଯିବ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଦେଶବାସୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
ଧାର୍ମିକର ମୁଖ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଜନ୍ମାଏ, ମାତ୍ର କୁଟିଳବାଦୀ ଜିହ୍ୱା ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବ।
32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked [speaketh] frowardness.
ଧାର୍ମିକର ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ତୁଷ୍ଟିକର କଥା ଜାଣେ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ମୁଖ କୁଟିଳ କଥା କହେ।
