< Judges 10 >
1 And after Abimelech there arose to defend Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in mount Ephraim.
Le Abimelek ƒe ku megbe la, Israel ƒe ʋunudrɔ̃la si va ɖe eyomee nye Tola, Pua ƒe vi kple Dodo ƒe tɔgbuiyɔvi. Etso Isaka ƒe to la me, ke enɔ Samir le Efraim ƒe tonyigba dzi.
2 And he judged Israel twenty and three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.
Enye ʋunudrɔ̃la na Israelviwo ƒe blaeve-vɔ-etɔ̃ eye esi wòku la, woɖii ɖe Samir.
3 And after him arose Jair, a Gileadite, and judged Israel twenty and two years.
Ʋunudrɔ̃la si kplɔe ɖo lae nye Yair, ŋutsu aɖe si tso Gilead. Eya hã drɔ̃ ʋɔnu Israel ƒe blaeve-vɔ-eve.
4 And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havoth-jair to this day, which [are] in the land of Gilead.
Via ŋutsu blaetɔ̃awo doa tedzi ɖia tsa eye du blaetɔ̃ nɔ wo si le Gileadnyigba dzi, afi si wogayɔna egbegbe be, “Yair duwo.”
5 And Jair died, and was buried in Camon.
Esi Yair ku la, woɖii ɖe Kamon.
6 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.
Israelviwo gawɔ nu si nye vɔ̃ le Yehowa ŋkume. Wosubɔ Baalwo kple Astarɔtwo kple Aramtɔwo, Sidontɔwo, Moabtɔwo kple Amonitɔwo kple Filistitɔwo ƒe mawuwo. Esi Israelviwo gbe nu le Yehowa gbɔ eye womegasubɔnɛ o ta la,
7 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
edo dziku ɖe wo ŋuti. Etsɔ wo dzra na Filistitɔwo kple Amonitɔwo,
8 And that year they harassed and oppressed the children of Israel eighteen years, all the children of Israel that [were] on the other side of Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which [is] in Gilead.
ame siwo te wo ɖe to, gbã wo gudugudu. Hena ƒe wuienyi la, wote Israelvi siwo katã nɔ Yɔdan tɔsisi la ƒe ɣedzeƒe le Gilead, le Amoritɔwo ƒe anyigba dzi la ɖe to.
9 Moreover, the children of Ammon passed over Jordan, to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was greatly distressed.
Wogawɔ aʋa kpli wo le Yuda, Benyamin kple Efraim hã elabena Amonitɔwo tso Yɔdan tɔsisi la va wɔ aʋa kple Israelviwo. Nu sia yi edzi ƒe wuienyi sɔŋ
10 And the children of Israel cried to the LORD, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.
eye mlɔeba la, Israelviwo trɔ va Yehowa gbɔ heɖe kuku nɛ be wòagaxɔ na yewo. Woʋu eme be, “Míewɔ nu vɔ̃ ɖe ŋuwò: míegblẽ wò, míaƒe Mawu ɖi eye míesubɔ Baal.”
11 And the LORD said to the children of Israel, [Did] not [I deliver you] from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
Yehowa ɖo eŋu be, “Ɖe nyemeɖe mi tso Egiptetɔwo, Amoritɔwo, Amonitɔwo, Filistitɔwo
12 The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites oppressed you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.
Sidontɔwo, Amalekitɔwo kple Maonitɔwo ƒe asi me oa?
13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.
Gake miegagblẽam ɖi enuenu eye miesubɔa mawu bubuwo eya ta mibu ɖa le ŋkuta nam! Nyemagaɖe mi akpɔ o.
14 Go and cry to the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
Miyi miado ɣli na mawu yeye siwo mietia! Mina woaɖe mi le miaƒe xaxaɣiwo me!”
15 And the children of Israel said to the LORD, We have sinned: do thou to us whatever seemeth good to thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.
Israelviwo gaɖe kuku na Mawu be, “Míewɔ nu vɔ̃, he to na mí le mɔ ɖe sia ɖe si dze ŋuwò la dzi eye nàgaɖe mí tso míaƒe futɔwo ƒe asi me ko!”
16 And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
Israelviwo trɔ le mawu bubuawo yome eye wosubɔ Yehowa ɖeɖe ko. Woƒe blanuiléle do nuxaxa na Yehowa.
17 Then the children of Ammon were assembled, and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel assembled themselves, and encamped in Mizpeh.
Le ɣe ma ɣi la, Amonitɔwo ƒe aʋakɔ ƒu asaɖa anyi ɖe Gilead hena aʋawɔwɔ kple Israel ƒe aʋakɔ le Mizpa.
18 And the people [and] princes of Gilead said one to another, What man [is he] that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
Gilead ƒe kplɔlawo gblɔ be, “Ame kae akplɔ míaƒe aʋakɔwo le aʋawɔwɔ kple Amonitɔwo me? Ame si akplɔ míaƒe aʋakɔwo la azu míaƒe fia!”
