Ezekiel 33
1 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ;
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say to them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their borders, and set him for their watchman:
മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ നിന്റെ സ്വജാതിക്കാരോടു പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതു: ഞാൻ ഒരു ദേശത്തിന്റെ നേരെ വാൾ വരുത്തുമ്പോൾ, ആ ദേശത്തിലെ ജനം തങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒരു പുരുഷനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു കാവല്ക്കാരനായിവെച്ചാൽ,
3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he shall blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
ദേശത്തിന്റെ നേരെ വാൾ വരുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു അവൻ കാഹളം ഊതി ജനത്തെ ഓൎമ്മപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോൾ
4 Then whoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword shall come and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
ആരെങ്കിലും കാഹളനാദം കേട്ടു കരുതിക്കൊള്ളാതെ ഇരുന്നാൽ, വാൾ വന്നു അവനെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവന്റെ രക്തം അവന്റെ തലമേൽ തന്നേ ഇരിക്കും.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
അവൻ കാഹളനാദം കേട്ടിട്ടു കരുതിക്കൊണ്ടില്ല; അവന്റെ രക്തം അവന്റെമേൽ ഇരിക്കും; കരുതിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.
6 But if the watchman shall see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword shall come, and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
എന്നാൽ കാവല്ക്കാരൻ വാൾ വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു കാഹളം ഊതാതെയും ജനം കരുതിക്കൊള്ളാതെയും ഇരുന്നിട്ടു വാൾ വന്നു അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ഒരുത്തനെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, ഇവൻ തന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടുപോയി എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ രക്തം ഞാൻ കാവല്ക്കാരനോടു ചോദിക്കും.
7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
അതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്നു കാവല്ക്കാരനാക്കി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു, നീ എന്റെ വായിൽനിന്നു വചനം കേട്ടു എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അവരെ ഓൎമ്മപ്പെടുത്തേണം.
8 When I say to the wicked, O wicked [man], thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thy hand.
ഞാൻ ദുഷ്ടനോടു: ദുഷ്ടാ, നീ മരിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്റെ വഴി വിട്ടുതിരിവാൻ കരുതിക്കൊള്ളത്തക്കവണ്ണം നീ അവനെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കാതെയിരുന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം മരിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്തമോ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും.
9 Nevertheless, if thou shalt warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he shall not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്റെ വഴി വിട്ടുതിരിയേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അവനെ ഓൎമ്മപ്പെടുത്തീട്ടും അവൻ തന്റെ വഴി വിട്ടുതിരിയാഞ്ഞാൽ, അവൻ തന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം മരിക്കും; നീയോ, നിന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
10 Therefore, O thou son of man, speak to the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins [are] upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?
അതുകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹത്തോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: ഞങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങളും പാപങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളുടെമേൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ എങ്ങനെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു.
11 Say to them, [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked should turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
എന്നാണ, ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മരണത്തിൽ അല്ല, ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്റെ വഴി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിക്കുന്നതിൽ അത്രേ എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളതെന്നു യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുൎമ്മാൎഗ്ഗങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുതിരിവിൻ, തിരിവിൻ; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, നിങ്ങൾ എന്തിന്നു മരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു പറക.
12 Therefore, thou son of man, say to the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall by it in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his [righteousness] in the day that he sinneth.
മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ നിന്റെ സ്വജാതിക്കാരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: നീതിമാൻ അതിക്രമം ചെയ്യുന്ന നാളിൽ അവന്റെ നീതി അവനെ രക്ഷിക്കയില്ല; ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുതിരിയുന്ന നാളിൽ തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതയാൽ ഇടറിവീഴുകയില്ല; നീതിമാൻ പാപം ചെയ്യുന്ന നാളിൽ, അവന്നു തന്റെ നീതിയാൽ ജീവിപ്പാൻ കഴികയുമില്ല.
13 When I shall say to the righteous, [that] he shall surely live; if he shall trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
നീതിമാൻ ജീവിക്കുമെന്നു ഞാൻ അവനോടു പറയുമ്പോൾ, അവൻ തന്റെ നീതിയിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചു അകൃത്യം പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അവന്റെ നീതിപ്രവൃത്തികൾ ഒന്നും അവന്നു കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവൻ ചെയ്ത നീതികേടുനിമിത്തം അവൻ മരിക്കും.
14 Again, when I say to the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he shall turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ദുഷ്ടനോടു: നീ മരിക്കും എന്നു പറയുമ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ പാപം വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവൎത്തിക്കയും
15 [If] the wicked shall restore the pledge, give again that which he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
പണയം തിരികെ കൊടുക്കയും അപഹരിച്ചതു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയും നീതികേടു ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ ജീവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ അവൻ മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിക്കും.
16 None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned to him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
അവൻ ചെയ്ത പാപം ഒന്നും അവന്നു കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവൻ നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ജീവിക്കും.
17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the LORD is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ സ്വജാതിക്കാർ: കൎത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; അവരുടെ വഴിയത്രേ ചൊവ്വില്ലാതെയിരിക്കുന്നതു.
18 When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, for that he shall even die.
നീതിമാൻ തന്റെ നീതി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതികേടു പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവൻ അതിനാൽ തന്നേ മരിക്കും.
19 But if the wicked shall turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, for that he shall live.
എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവൻ അതിനാൽ ജീവിക്കും.
20 Yet ye say, The way of the LORD is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.
എന്നിട്ടും കൎത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ ഓരോരുത്തനെയും അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം ന്യായം വിധിക്കും.
21 And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, [that] one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came to me, saying, The city is smitten.
ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസത്തിന്റെ പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടു, പത്താം മാസം, അഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതി, യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ചാടിപ്പോയ ഒരുത്തൻ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: നഗരം പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടുപോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
22 Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, before he that had escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.
ചാടിപ്പോയവൻ വരുന്നതിന്റെ തലെനാൾ വൈകുന്നേരം യഹോവയുടെ കൈ എന്റെമേൽ വന്നു; രാവിലെ അവൻ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുമ്പോഴേക്കു യഹോവ എന്റെ വായ് തുറന്നിരുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ എന്റെ വായ് തുറന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ പിന്നെ മിണ്ടാതെ ഇരുന്നില്ല.
23 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ: മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ,
24 Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we [are] many; the land is given to us for inheritance.
യിസ്രായേൽദേശത്തിലെ ശൂന്യസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ പാൎക്കുന്നവർ: അബ്രഹാം ഏകനായിരിക്കെ അവന്നു ദേശം അവകാശമായി ലഭിച്ചു; ഞങ്ങളോ പലരാകുന്നു; ഈ ദേശം ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അവകാശമായി ലഭിക്കും എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
25 Wherefore say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes towards your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?
അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ മാംസം രക്തത്തോടുകൂടെ തിന്നുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്കയും രക്തം ചൊരികയും ചെയ്യുന്നു;
26 Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbor's wife: and shall ye possess the land?
നിങ്ങൾ ദേശത്തെ കൈവശമാക്കുമോ? നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാളിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കയും മ്ലേച്ഛത പ്രവൎത്തിക്കയും ഓരോരുത്തനും തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാൎയ്യയെ വഷളാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ദേശത്തെ കൈവശമാക്കുമോ?
27 Say thou thus to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; [As] I live, surely they that [are] in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that [is] in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that [are] in the forts and in the caves shall die by the pestilence.
നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്നാണ, ശൂന്യസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ പാൎക്കുന്നവർ വാൾകൊണ്ടു വീഴും; വെളിമ്പ്രദേശത്തുള്ളവരെ ഞാൻ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കു ഇരയായി കൊടുക്കും; ദുൎഗ്ഗങ്ങളിലും ഗുഹകളിലും ഉള്ളവരോ മഹാമാരികൊണ്ടു മരിക്കും.
28 For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.
ഞാൻ ദേശത്തെ പാഴും ശൂന്യവും ആക്കും; അതിന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ പ്രതാപം നിന്നുപോകും; യിസ്രായേൽപൎവ്വതങ്ങൾ ആരും വഴിപോകാതവണ്ണം ശൂന്യമായിത്തീരും.
29 Then shall they know that I [am] the LORD, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.
അവർ ചെയ്ത സകലമ്ലേച്ഛതകളുംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ ദേശത്തെ പാഴും ശൂന്യവുമാക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ യഹോവ എന്നു അവർ അറിയും.
30 Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.
മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിന്റെ സ്വജാതിക്കാർ മതിലുകൾക്കരികത്തും വീട്ടുവാതില്ക്കലുംവെച്ചു നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സംഭാഷിച്ചു: യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തെന്നു വന്നു കേൾപ്പിൻ എന്നു തമ്മിൽതമ്മിലും ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ സഹോദരനോടും പറയുന്നു.
31 And they come to thee as the people come, and they sit before thee [as] my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love, [but] their heart goeth after their covetousness.
സംഘം കൂടിവരുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്നു എന്റെ ജനമായിട്ടു നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരുന്നു നിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവർ അവയെ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; വായ്കൊണ്ടു അവർ വളരെ സ്നേഹം കാണിക്കുന്നു; ഹൃദയമോ, ദുരാഗ്രഹത്തെ പിന്തുടരുന്നു.
32 And lo, thou [art] to them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do not perform them.
നീ അവൎക്കു മധുരസ്വരവും വാദ്യനൈപുണ്യവും ഉള്ള ഒരുത്തന്റെ പ്രേമഗീതംപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ നിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കുന്നു; ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലതാനും.
33 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come, ) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.
എന്നാൽ അതു സംഭവിക്കുമ്പോൾ - ഇതാ, അതു വരുന്നു - അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്നു അറിയും.
