1 Chronicles 4

1 The sons of Judah; Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

Fiii lui Iuda: Pereț, Hețron și Carmi și Hur și Șobal.

2 And Reaiah the son of Shobal begat Jahath; and Jahath begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These [are] the families of the Zorathites.

Și Reaia, fiul lui Șobal, a născut pe Iahat; și Iahat a născut pe Ahumai și pe Lahad. Acestea sunt familiile țoratiților.

3 And these [were of] the father of Etam; Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash: and the name of their sister [was] Hazelelponi:

Și aceștia au fost din tatăl lui Etam: Izreel și Ișma și Idbaș; și numele surorii lor era Hațelelponi;

4 And Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These [are] the sons of Hur, the first-born of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.

Și Penuel tatăl lui Ghedor și Ezer tatăl lui Hușa. Aceștia sunt fiii lui Hur, întâiul născut al lui Efrata, tatăl lui Betleem.

5 And Ashur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

Și Așhur tatăl lui Tecoa a avut două soții, Helea și Naara.

6 And Naarah bore him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These [were] the sons of Naarah.

Și Naara i-a născut pe Ahuzam și pe Hefer și pe Temeni și pe Ahaștari. Aceștia au fost fiii lui Naara.

7 And the sons of Helah [were], Zereth, and Jezoar, and Ethnan.

Și fiii Heleei au fost: Țeret și Țohar și Etnan.

8 And Coz begat Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.

Și Coț a născut pe Anub și pe Țobeba și familiile lui Aharhel, fiul lui Harum.

9 And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bore him with sorrow.

Și Iaebeț a fost demn de mai multă cinste decât frații săi; și mama lui i-a pus numele Iaebeț, spunând: Pentru că l-am născut cu tristețe.

10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldst bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldst keep [me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Și Iaebeț a chemat pe Dumnezeul lui Israel, spunând: Dacă într-adevăr m-ai binecuvânta și mi-ai lărgi hotarul și mâna ta ar fi cu mine și dacă m-ai păzi de rău, ca să nu mă apese! Și Dumnezeu i-a dat ceea ce a cerut.

11 And Chelub the brother of Shuah begat Mehir, who [was] the father of Eshton.

Și Chelub fratele lui Șuhah a născut pe Mechir, care a fost tatăl lui Eșton.

12 And Eshton begat Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These [are] the men of Rechah.

Și Eșton a născut pe Bet-Rafa și pe Paseah și pe Techina tatăl cetății lui Nahaș. Aceștia sunt oamenii lui Reca.

13 And the sons of Kenaz; Othniel, and Seraiah: and the sons of Othniel; Hathath.

Și fiii lui Chenaz: Otniel și Seraia; și fiii lui Otniel: Hatat.

14 And Meonothai begat Ophrah: and Seraiah begat Joab, the father of the valley of Charashim; for they were artificers.

Și Meonotai a născut pe Ofra; și Seraia a născut pe Ioab, tatăl celor din valea Meșteșugarilor, căci erau meșteșugari.

15 And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh; Iru, Elah, and Naam: and the sons of Elah, even Kenaz.

Și fiii lui Caleb, fiul lui Iefune: Iru, Ela și Naam; și fiii lui Ela, chiar Chenaz.

16 And the sons of Jehaleleel; Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.

Și fiii lui Iehaleleel: Zif și Zifa, Tiria și Asareel.

17 And the sons of Ezra [were], Jethur, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon: and she bore Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.

Și fiii lui Ezra au fost: Ieter și Mered și Efer și Ialon; și ea a născut pe Miriam și pe Șamai și pe Ișbah, tatăl lui Eștemoa.

18 And his wife Jehudijah bore Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. And these [are] the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh whom Mered took.

Și Iehudia, soția lui, a născut pe Iered, tatăl lui Ghedor și pe Heber, tatăl lui Soco și Iechutiel, tatăl lui Zanoah. Și aceștia sunt fiii Bitiei, fiica lui Faraon, pe care Mered a luat-o.

19 And the sons of [his] wife Hodiah the sister of Naham, the father of Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.

Și fiii soției lui, Hodia, sora lui Naham, tatăl lui Chehila, garmitul, și Eștemoa maacatitul.

20 And the sons of Shimon [were], Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi [were], Zoheth, and Benzoheth.

Și fiii lui Șimon au fost: Amnon și Rina, Ben-Hanan și Tilon. Și fiii lui Ișei au fost: Zohet și Ben-Zohet.

21 The sons of Shelah the son of Judah [were], Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea,

Fiii lui Șela, fiul lui Iuda, au fost: Er tatăl lui Leca și Laeda tatăl lui Mareșa și familiile casei celor care au țesut in subțire, din casa lui Așbea,

22 And Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubi-lehem. And [these are] ancient things.

Și Iochim și oamenii lui Cozeba și Ioas și Saraf, care au avut stăpânirea în Moab și Iașubi-Lehem. Și acestea sunt lucruri vechi.

23 These [were] the potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his work.

Aceștia au fost olarii și aceia care au locuit printre plante și îngrădituri, acolo au locuit la împărat pentru lucrarea lui.

24 The sons of Simeon [were] Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, [and] Shaul:

Fiii lui Simeon au fost: Nemuel și Iamin, Iarib, Zerah și Șaul;

25 Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.

Șalum, fiul lui; Mibsam, fiul lui; Mișma, fiul lui.

26 And the sons of Mishma; Hamuel his son, Zacchur his son, Shimei his son.

Și fiii lui Mișma: Hamuel, fiul lui; Zachur, fiul lui; Șimei, fiul lui.

27 And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brethren had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like the children of Judah.

Iar Șimei a avut șaisprezece fii și șase fiice; dar frații lui nu au avut mulți copii, și nici toată familia lor nu s-a înmulțit ca cei ai copiilor lui Iuda.

28 And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual,

Și au locuit la Beer-Șeba și Molada și Hațar-Șual,

29 And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,

Și la Bilha și la Ețem și la Tolad,

30 And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,

Și la Betuel și la Horma și la Țiclag,

31 And at Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susim, and at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim. These [were] their cities to the reign of David.

Și la Bet-Marcabot și Hațar-Susim și la Betbirei și la Șaaraim. Acestea au fost cetățile lor până la domnia lui David.

32 And their villages [were], Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities:

Și satele lor au fost: Etam și Ain, Rimon și Tochen și Așan, cinci cetăți;

33 And all their villages that [were] around the same cities to Baal. These [were] their habitations, and their genealogy.

Și toate satele lor care au fost în jurul acelorași cetăți, până la Baal. Acestea au fost locuințele lor și genealogia lor.

34 And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah the son of Amaziah,

Și Meșobab și Iamlec și Ioșa, fiul lui Amația,

35 And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,

Și Ioel și Iehu, fiul lui Ioșibia, fiul lui Seraia, fiul lui Asiel,

36 And Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah,

37 And Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah;

38 These mentioned by [their] names [were] princes in their families: and the house of their fathers increased greatly.

39 And they went to the entrance of Gedor, [even] to the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.

Și au mers la intrarea lui Ghedor, spre partea de est a văii, să caute pajiște pentru turmele lor.

40 And they found rich pasture and good, and the land [was] wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for [they] of Ham had dwelt there of old.

Și au găsit pajiște grasă și bună și țara era largă și liniștită și pașnică; fiindcă aceia din Ham au locuit acolo din vechime.

41 And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly to this day, and dwelt in their room: because [there was] pasture there for their flocks.

Și aceștia scriși pe nume au venit în zilele lui Ezechia, împăratul lui Iuda, și le-au lovit corturile și locuințele care s-au găsit acolo și le-au distrus în întregime până în această zi și au locuit în locul lor, deoarece era pajiște acolo pentru turmele lor.

42 And [some] of them, [even] of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.

Și unii dintre ei, dintre fiii lui Simeon, cinci sute de bărbați, au mers la muntele Seir, având ca și căpetenii pe Pelatia și pe Nearia și pe Refaia și pe Uziel, fiii lui Ișei.

43 And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that had escaped, and have dwelt there to this day.

Și au lovit restul dintre amaleciți care au scăpat și au locuit acolo până în această zi.
