Ecclesiastes 3
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
১প্ৰত্যেক বিষয়ৰ কাৰণে এক এক সময় আছে; আকাশৰ তলত প্ৰত্যেকটো কার্যৰ একোটা নির্দিষ্ট সময় আছে।
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
২জন্মৰ যেনেকৈ এক সময় আছে, মৃত্যুৰো তেনেকৈ সময় আছে; ৰোপণৰ সময় আছে আৰু উঘালি পেলাবৰো সময় আছে।
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
৩বধ কৰা আৰু সুস্থ কৰাৰ এক নির্দিষ্ট সময় আছে। ভাঙি পেলোৱাৰ যেনেকৈ সময় আছে, তেনেকৈ গঢ়িবৰো সময় আছে।
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
৪কান্দিবৰ সময় আৰু হাঁহিবৰ সময় আছে; শোক কৰাৰ সময় আৰু নাচিবৰ সময় আছে।
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
৫শিল দলিয়াবৰ আৰু শিল গোটাবৰো সময় আছে। আঁকোৱালি লোৱাৰ সময় আৰু আঁকোৱালি ধৰাৰ পৰা আতৰি থকাৰ সময় আছে।
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
৬বস্তু বিচাৰিবৰ সময় আছে, পুনৰ নিবিচৰাৰো এক সময় আছে। বস্তু ৰাখি থোৱা আৰু পেলাবৰো এক এক সময় আছে।
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
৭কাপোৰ ফালিবৰ সময় আৰু চিলাই কৰাৰ সময় আছে; মনে মনে থকাৰ সময় আৰু কথা মৈদাম সময় আছে।
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
৮ভালপোৱাৰ সময় আৰু ঘৃণা কৰাৰ সময় আছে; যুদ্ধ কৰাৰ এক সময় আছে আৰু শান্তি ৰক্ষা কৰাৰো সঠিক সময় আছে।
9 What profit hath he that worketh in that in which he laboureth?
৯শ্রমিকে তেওঁৰ পৰিশ্রমৰ কি ফল লাভ কৰে?
10 I have seen the labour, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
১০ঈশ্বৰে মনুষ্যক সম্পূর্ণ কৰিবলৈ যি কাম দিছে, তাক মই দেখিলোঁ।
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in its time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
১১নিজ নিজ উপযুক্ত সময়ৰ বাবে ঈশ্বৰে সকলোবোৰ ঠিক কৰি ৰাখিছে। তেওঁ মানুহৰ হৃদয়বোৰত অনন্ত কাল ৰাখিছে। তথাপিও আদিৰ পৰা অন্তলৈকে ঈশ্বৰে যি যি কাম কৰিছে মানুহে তাক বুজিব পৰা নাই।
12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
১২মই জানিলোঁ যে, মানুহৰ বাবে জীৱন কালত আনন্দ আৰু সৎকৰ্ম কৰাৰ বাহিৰে ভাল একো নাই।
13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
১৩ইও ঈশ্বৰৰ দান। প্ৰত্যেক মানুহে খোৱা-বোৱা কৰি সকলো কার্যতে সন্তুষ্ট হৈ থকা উচিত।
14 I know that, whatever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be added to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
১৪মই জানো যে, ঈশ্বৰে যি যি কৰে, সেই সকলো চিৰকাল থাকে; তাক বঢ়াবও নোৱাৰি বা কমাবও নোৱাৰি; ঈশ্বৰে এনেদৰে কৰিলে যাতে মানুহে তেওঁক ভয় কৰে।
15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
১৫যি যি আছে, সেয়ে পূর্বেও আছিল; যি যি হব, সেয়াও পূর্বে আছিল; যি হৈ গ’ল, ঈশ্বৰে পুনৰ তাকেই বিচাৰে।
16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
১৬মই সূৰ্যৰ তলত আৰু এক বিষয় দেখিলোঁ যে, ন্যায় বিচাৰ আৰু ধার্মিকর্তাৰ ঠাইত দুষ্টতা আছে।
17 I said in my heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
১৭মই মনতে ক’লো, “ঈশ্বৰে ধাৰ্মিক আৰু দুষ্ট এই দুজনৰে বিচাৰ কৰিব; কাৰণ ঈশ্বৰৰ ওচৰত প্ৰত্যেক বিষয় আৰু কৰ্মৰ বাবে এক নিৰ্দিষ্ট সময় আছে।”
18 I said in my heart concerning the state of the sons of men, that God might surely test them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
১৮মই মনতে ক’লো, “ঈশ্বৰে লোকসকলক যেন পৰীক্ষা কৰি বুজিবলৈ দিয়ে যে, তেওঁলোক নিজে পশুতুল্য।”
19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
১৯কাৰণ মানুহলৈ যি ঘটে সেয়ে পশুলৈকো ঘটে; পশু যেনেকৈ মৰে, মানুহো মৰে। উভয়ে একে বাযু়ৰ শ্বাস-প্ৰশ্বাস লয়; সেয়ে পশুতকৈ মানুহৰ কোনো প্রাধান্য নাই; কিয়নো একোৱেই স্থায়ী নহয়।
20 All go to one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
২০সকলোৱেই একে মাটিলৈকে যায়; সকলোৱেই ধুলিৰ পৰা আহিছে আৰু ধুলিলৈকে উলটি যায়।
21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
২১মানুহৰ প্রাণবায়ু যে উৰ্দ্ধগামী হয় আৰু পশুৰ প্ৰাণবায়ু যে মাটিৰ তললৈ অধোগামী হয়, তাক কোনে জানে?
22 Therefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
২২মই আকৌ উপলব্ধি কৰিলোঁ যে, নিজৰ কাৰ্যত সন্তুষ্ট হোৱাৰ বাহিৰে মানুহৰ বাবে আন একোৱেই ভাল নাই; কিয়নো এয়ে মানুহৰ কার্য। কাৰণ মানুহৰ মৃত্যুৰ পাছত কি ঘটিব, তাক দেখুৱাবলৈ কোনে তেওঁক ঘূৰাই আনিব?।
