1 John 5
1 Whoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten by him.
Todos os que creem que Jesus é o—Messias/homem que Deus mandou [para nos resgata]—são os que [realmente se tornaram filhos de Deus. ]E é esperado [que ]todos os que amam [um homem que é ]pai amem também os filhos dele. [Semelhantemente, se alguém ama a Deus, que o tornou filho dele ][MET], deve amar seus irmãos crentes, que Deus também tornou filhos dele.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
A forma de podermos ter certeza de que amamos [genuinamente ]aos filhos de Deus é a seguinte: Estamos amando-os quando amamos a Deus e fazemos aquilo que ele [nos ]manda [fazer. ]
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome.
De fato, obedecermos aquilo que Deus [nos ]manda [fazer ]equivale a amarmos a ele. E, não [nos ]é penoso [fazer ]aquilo que Deus [nos ]mandou [fazer].
4 For whoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Todos os que Deus fez/tornou filhos dele conseguem resistir eficazmente às pessoas [MTY] que vivem se opondo a Deus. É por meio da nossa confiança em Cristo que já estamos vencendo [os ataques das ]pessoas no mundo que se opõem a Deus [MTY].
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Vou lhes dizer/Vocês sabem— [RHQ] quem são aqueles que conseguem vencer [os ataques das ]pessoas que se opõem a Deus [MTY]./? São exclusivamente aqueles que creem que Jesus é—Filho de Deus/o homem que é também Deus. [testemunha que Jesus veio salvar as pessoas.]
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
[Pensem agora sobre ]Jesus Cristo. É ele quem veio [de Deus à terra. Deus mostrou que isso era verdade quando João, o Batizador, o ]batizou nas águas [MTY], e [quando Jesus morreu, derramando seu ]sangue. Deus tornou isso bem claro não somente [quando João o batizou ][MTY], mas também quando Jesus [derramou seu ]sangue [por nós. ]O Espírito [de Deus ]sempre [diz apenas aquilo que ]é verdade.
7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.
Há três [elementos ]que [nos ]testemunham [que Cristo veio de Deus: ]
8 And there are three that bear witness on earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
O Espírito [de Deus, ]aquilo [que Deus disse quando João o batizou ][MTY] nas águas e [aquilo que aconteceu quando ele derramou seu ]sangue [na cruz. ]Todas essas três coisas concordam [que Jesus veio de Deus.]
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
[Geralmente ]cremos no que as outras pessoas dizem. Mas aquilo que Deus diz é ainda mais [confiável que aquilo que os seres humanos dizem. ]Por isso [devemos considerar verídicas ]as coisas que Deus diz sobre seu Filho/aquele que é também Deus.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he hath not believed the testimony that God gave of his Son.
[Portanto, ]se alguém confiar—no Filho de/naquele que é também—Deus, sabe no seu interior que [aquilo que Deus ]diz [sobre ele é verdade]. [Mas ]se alguém recusar considerar verdade [o que Deus diz, ]declara que Deus está mentindo, pois recusa acreditar naquilo que Deus tem dito sobre seu Filho/aquele que é também Deus.
11 And this is the testimony, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
É isto que [Deus ]diz: “Prometi que você viverá para sempre!” Nós viveremos para sempre se temos um íntimo relacionamento com seu Filho/o homem que é também Deus. (aiōnios g166)
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Se alguém tem um [íntimo relacionamento com o ]Filho [de Deus ](OU, Se alguém aceita o que o Filho de Deus [fez em benefício dele]), já começou a viver para sempre. [Mas ]se alguém não tiver um relacionamento com—o Filho de Deus/aquele que é também Deus—(OU, aceitar o que o Filho de Deus fez em benefício dele), ainda não começou a viver [para sempre].
13 These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
Escrevi esta [carta ]a vocês que creem que Jesus é [MTY] o Filho de Deus/aquele que é também Deus, para que possam saber que possuem a vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
Por termos um íntimo relacionamento com ele, temos confiança de que, se pedirmos que ele [faça qualquer coisa ]que for da vontade dele, ele nos ouve.
15 And if we know that he heareth us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired from him.
[Especificamente], já que sabemos que ele ouve todas as coisas que pedimos, sabemos [também ]que [é como se ]ele já tivesse feito aquilo que pedimos para ele fazer.
16 If any man shall see his brother sin a sin which is not to death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not to death. There is a sin to death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
Se alguém observar um irmão crente que peca, deve pedir para [Deus ajudar seu irmão crente; ]e, como [resultado, Deus ]capacitará o irmão crente a viver [eternamente. Mas algumas pessoas ]pecam [de uma forma que as ]leva a afastar-se eternamente de Deus. Não digo que vocês [devam pedir que Deus ajude ]as pessoas que pecam dessa forma.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not to death.
Todas as pessoas que fazem o que está errado estão pecando, mas há alguns pecados que não levam as pessoas a afastar-se eternamente de Deus.
18 We know that whoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Sabemos que se Deus fez com que uma pessoa—se transformasse/se tornasse filho dele—, tal pessoa não continua pecando. Pelo contrário, —o Filho de/aquele que é também—Deus a protege para que [Satanás], o maligno, não lhe cause dano [espiritual. ]
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
Sabemos que pertencemos a Deus, e [sabemos ]que o maligno controla todos [os iníquos do ][MTY] mundo.
20 And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Sabemos que o Filho de Deus/aquele que é também Deus veio [a nós, ]e [sabemos ]que ele nos capacitou a conhecer a Deus, que é real. Portanto, temos agora um íntimo relacionamento com o verdadeiro [Deus, pois ]pertencemos a Jesus Cristo, aquele que é—o Filho de/o homem que é também—Deus. Jesus Cristo é verdadeiramente Deus e [é ele quem nos capacita a ter a ]vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
Vocês que me são muito caros, [já que Jesus é verdadeiramente Deus, ]guardem-se da [adoração ]a deuses postiços!
