Nehemiah 9
1 Now on the twenty-fourth day of the same month the people of Israel were assembled and they were fasting, and they were wearing sackcloth, and they put dust on their heads.
В день же двадесять четвертый месяца сего собрашася сынове Израилевы в посте и во вретищих, и персть на главах их.
2 The descendants of Israel separated themselves from all the foreigners. They stood and confessed their own sins and the evil actions of their ancestors.
И отлучишася сынове Израилевы от всякаго сына чужда, и исповедаху грехи своя и беззакония отец своих.
3 They stood up in their places, and for one-fourth of the day they read from the book of the law of Yahweh their God. For another fourth of the day they were confessing and bowing down before Yahweh their God.
И сташа на стоянии своем и чтоша в книзе закона Господа Бога своего четверицею в день, и бяху исповедающеся Господеви и покланяющеся Господу Богу своему.
4 The Levites, Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Kenani, stood on the stairs and they called out with a loud voice to Yahweh their God.
И сташа на степени левитов Иисус и сынове Кадмиили, Саханиа сын Саравиин, сынове Ханани, и возопиша гласом великим ко Господу Богу своему,
5 Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah said, “Stand up and give praise to Yahweh your God forever and ever.” “May they bless your glorious name, and may it be exalted above every blessing and praise.
и рекоша левити, Иисус и Кадмиил: востаните, благословите Господа Бога нашего от века даже до века: и благословят имя славы Твоея, и вознесут во всяцем благословении и хвале.
6 You are Yahweh. You alone. You have made heaven, the highest heavens, with all their host, and the earth and everything on it, and the seas and all that is in them. You give life to them all, and the host of heaven worship you.
И рече Ездра: Ты еси Сам Господь един, Ты сотворил еси небо и небо небесе и вся вои их, землю и вся, елика на ней суть, моря и вся, яже в них, и Ты оживляеши вся, и вои небеснии покланяются Тебе:
7 You are Yahweh, the God who chose Abram, and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gave him the name Abraham.
Ты еси Господь Бог, ты избрал еси Аврама и извел еси его от страны Халдейския, и положил еси имя ему Авраам,
8 You found his heart was faithful before you, and you made with him the covenant to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, and the Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.
и обрел еси сердце его верно пред Тобою, и завещал еси с ним завет дати ему землю Хананейску и Хеттейску, и Аморрейску и Ферезейску, и Иевусейску и Гергесейску, и семени его: и утвердил еси словеса Твоя, яко праведен еси:
9 You saw the affliction of our forefathers in Egypt and you heard their cry by the Sea of Reeds.
и видел еси озлобление отец наших во Египте, и вопль их услышал еси на мори Чермнем,
10 You gave signs and wonders against Pharaoh, and all his servants, and on all the people of his land, for you knew that the Egyptians acted with arrogance against them. But you made a name for yourself which stands to this day.
и дал еси знамения и чудеса во Египте на фараона и на вся рабы его и на вся люди земли его: познал бо еси, яко возгордешася на них, и сотворил еси Себе имя, якоже день сей:
11 Then you divided the sea before them, so that they went through the middle of the sea on the dry land; and threw those who pursued them into the depths, as a stone into deep waters.
и море расторгл еси пред ними, и проидоша посреде моря по суху, и гонители их ввергл еси в глубину, яко камень в воде зелней:
12 You led them by a pillar of cloud during by day, and by a pillar of fire during the night to light the way for them to go.
и в столпе облачне водил еси их во дни и в столпе огненне в нощи, еже осветити им путь, по немуже идоша:
13 On Mount Sinai you came down and you spoke with them from heaven and gave to them righteous decrees and true laws, good statutes and commandments.
и на гору Синайскую сшел еси, и глаголал еси к ним с небесе, и дал еси им судбы правы и закон истинный, повеления и заповеди благи:
14 You made your holy Sabbath known to them, and you gave them commandments and statutes and a law through Moses your servant.
и субботу святую Твою явил еси им, заповеди, повеления и закон повелел еси им рукою Моисеа раба Твоего:
15 You gave them bread from heaven for their hunger, and water from a rock for their thirst, and you said to them to go in to possess the land you swore on oath to give them.
хлеб же с небесе дал еси им во алчбе их в пищу им, и воду из камене извел еси им в жажди их, и рекл еси им, да внидут и наследят землю, на нюже простерл еси руку Твою дати им:
16 But they and our ancestors acted disrespectfully, and they were stubborn, and did not listen to your commandments.
тии же и отцы наши возгордешася и ожесточиша выя своя и не послушаша заповедий Твоих,
17 They refused to listen, and they did not think about the wonders that you had done among them, but became stubborn, and in their rebellion they appointed a leader to return to their slavery. But you are a God who is full of forgiveness, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. You did not abandon them.
и не восхотеша слышати, и не воспомянуша чудес Твоих, яже сотворил еси им: и ожесточиша выю свою, и даша начало возвратитися на работу свою во Египет: Ты же, Боже, милостив и щедр, долготерпелив и многомилостив, и не оставил еси их:
18 Even when they had cast a calf out of molten metal and said, 'This is your God who brought you up out of Egypt,' and had committed great blasphemies,
еще же сотвориша себе и телца слияна и рекоша: сии бози изведоша нас из Египта: и сотвориша раздражения велия:
19 you, in your compassion, did not abandon them in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud to lead them on the way did not leave them during day, neither did the pillar of fire by night to light the way for them to go.
Ты же в щедротах Твоих многих не оставил еси их в пустыни, столп облачный не уклонил еси от них во дни, еже наставити их на путь, и столп огненный в нощи, еже осветити им путь по немуже идоша,
20 Your good Spirit you gave them to instruct them, and your manna you did not withhold from their mouths, and water you gave them for their thirst.
и Дух Твой благ дал еси, еже научити их, и манны Твоея не лишил еси от уст их, и воду дал еси им в жажди их,
21 For forty years you provided for them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell.
и четыредесять лет препитал еси их в пустыни, ничтоже им оскуде: одеяния их не состарешася, и сапози их не раздрашася:
22 You gave them kingdoms and peoples, assigning to them every corner of the land. Then they took possession of the land of Sihon king of Heshbon and the land of Og king of Bashan.
и дал еси им царства, и люди разделил еси им, и наследиша землю Сиона царя Есевонска и землю Ога царя Васанска:
23 You made their children as numerous as the stars of heaven, and you brought them into the land that you told their ancestors to go in and possess.
и умножил еси сыны их яко звезды небесныя, и ввел еси их в землю, о нейже глаголал еси отцем их внити и наследити ю:
24 So the people went in and possessed the land and you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites. You gave them into their hands, with their kings and the peoples of the land, that Israel might do with them as they pleased.
(и внидоша сынове их) и наследиша землю: и сокрушил еси пред ними обитающих в земли Хананейстей, и дал еси их в руку их, и цари их и люди земли, да сотворят им якоже угодно пред ними:
25 They captured the fortified cities and a productive land, and they captured houses full of all good things, cisterns already cut out, vineyards and olive orchards, and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were satisfied and grew fat and enjoyed themselves in your great goodness.
и взяша грады высокия, и одержаша домы полны всех благих, кладязи ограждены камением, винограды и маслины и всяко древо снедное во множество, и ядоша и насытишася, и утолстеша и разширишася во благости Твоей велицей:
26 Then they became disobedient and they rebelled against you. They threw your law behind their backs. They murdered your prophets who had warned them to turn back to you, and they committed great blasphemies.
и изменишася и отступиша от Тебе, и повергоша закон Твой созади плоти своея, и пророки Твоя избиша, иже засвидетелствоваху им, да обратятся к Тебе, и сотвориша хулы велики:
27 So you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. In the time of their suffering, they cried out to you, and you heard them from heaven, and because of your great mercies you sent them rescuers who rescued them out of the hand of their enemies.
и дал еси их в руку оскорбляющих я, и озлобиша их: и во бремя печали своея возопиша к Тебе, и Ты с небесе Твоего услышал еси, и по щедротам Твоим многим дал еси им спасителей, и спасл еси их от рук враг их:
28 But after they had rest, they did evil again before you, and you abandoned them to the hand of their enemies, so their enemies ruled over them. Yet when they returned and cried out to you, you heard from heaven, and many times because of your compassion you rescued them.
и егда упокоишася, возвратишася сотворити лукавое пред Тобою: и оставил еси их в руках враг их, и обладаша ими: и паки возопиша к Тебе, Ты же от небесе услышал еси, и избавил еси их в щедротах Твоих мнозех,
29 You warned them so they might turn back to your law. Yet they acted arrogantly and did not listen to your commands. They sinned against your decrees which give life to anyone who obeys them. They gave the stubborn shoulder-blade and stiffened their neck and refused to listen.
и засвидетелствовал еси им, да обратятся к закону Твоему: они же возгордешася и не послушаша, но в заповедех Твоих и в судбах Твоих согрешиша, яже сотворив человек жив будет в них: и даша плещы непокоривыя, и выю свою ожесточиша, и не послушаша:
30 For many years you put up with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they did not listen. So you gave them into the hand of the neighboring peoples.
и продолжил еси на них лета многа, и засвидетелствовал еси им Духом Твоим и рукою пророк Твоих, и не вняша, и предал еси их в руку людий земных:
31 But in your great mercies you did not make a complete end of them, or forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
в милосердиих же Твоих многих не сотворил еси их в скончание, ниже оставил еси их, яко Бог силен еси и милостив и щедр:
32 Now therefore, our God—you great, mighty, and awesome God who keep your covenant and steadfast love—do not let all this hardship seem little to you that has come on us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our ancestors, and on all your people from the days of the kings of Assyria until today.
и ныне, Боже наш крепкий, великий, державный и страшный, храняй завет Твой и милость Твою, да не явится мал пред Тобою всяк труд, иже обрете нас и цари нашя, и началники нашя и священники нашя, и пророки нашя и отцы нашя и вся люди Твоя, от дний царей Ассурских и даже до дне сего:
33 You are just in everything that has come on us, for you have dealt faithfully, but we have acted wickedly.
и Ты праведен во всех, яже приидоша на нас, яко истину сотворил еси, мы же согрешихом:
34 Our kings, our princes, our priests, and our ancestors have not kept your law, nor paid attention to your commandments or your covenant decrees by which you warned them.
и царие наши и началницы наши, и священницы наши и отцы наши не сотвориша закона Твоего и не внимаша повелением Твоим и свидением Твоим, имиже засвидетелствовал еси им,
35 Even in their own kingdom, while they enjoyed your great goodness to them, in the large and productive land you set before them, they did not serve you or turn away from their evil ways.
и тии во царствии Твоем и во благостыни Твоей мнозе, юже дал еси им, и в земли широцей и тучней, юже дал еси пред ними, не послужиша Тебе и не отвратишася от начинаний своих лукавых:
36 Now we are slaves in the land you gave our ancestors to enjoy its fruit and its good gifts, and behold, we are slaves in it!
се, мы днесь есмы раби, и земля, юже дал еси отцем нашым ясти плод ея и благая ея, се, есмы раби на ней:
37 The rich yield from our land goes to the kings you have set over us because of our sins. They rule over our bodies and over our livestock as they please. We are in great distress.
и плоды ея мнози царем, имже предал еси нас за грехи нашя, и телесы нашими владычествуют и скоты нашими, якоже угодно им, и в печали велицей есмы:
38 Because of all this, we make a firm covenant in writing. On the sealed document are the names of our princes, Levites, and priests.”
и во всех сих мы полагаем завет верен и пишем, и печатают вси началницы наши, левити наши и священницы наши.
