< Job 40 >

1 Yahweh continued to speak to Job; he said,
Jehova Nyasaye nowachone Ayub kama:
2 “Should anyone who wishes to criticize try to correct the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer.”
“Bende nitiere ngʼat mapiem gi Jehova Nyasaye Maratego manyalo kwere? Mad koro ngʼat mamino wach gi Nyasaye oduokeane!”
3 Then Job answered Yahweh and said,
Eka Ayub nodwoko Jehova Nyasaye kama:
4 “See, I am insignificant; how can I answer you? I put my hand over my mouth.
“Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, ok aromo dwokora kodi omiyo mano ema omiyo alingʼ.
5 I spoke once, and I will not answer; indeed, twice, but I will proceed no further.”
Asewuoyo moromo, to ok ayudo dwoko omiyo koro ok abi wuoyo kendo.”
6 Then Yahweh answered Job out of a fierce storm and said,
Eka Jehova Nyasaye nodwoko Ayub gi ei yamo maduongʼ. Nowacho kama:
7 “Now gird up your loins like a man, for I will ask you questions, and you must answer me.
“Chungʼ ane ka dichwo; mondo idwoka weche, ma adwaro penjigi.
8 Will you actually say that I am unjust? Will you condemn me so you may claim you are right?
“Angʼo momiyo iketho adiera mara? Angʼo momiyo iketo rach kuoma mondo in inenri ka ngʼama ber?
9 Do you have an arm like God's? Can you thunder with a voice like him?
Bende in gi teko machalo gi mar Nyasaye koso dwondi bende nyalo mor kaka mare?
10 Now clothe yourself in glory and dignity; array yourself in honor and majesty.
Ka kamano, to kare bidhriane, kirwakori gi duongʼ, luor kod ber.
11 Scatter around the excess of your anger; look at everyone who is proud and bring him down.
Bangʼ mano rang jogo ma sungore, kendo iol mirimbi mager kuomgi mondo omi gibolre.
12 Look at everyone who is proud and bring him low; trample down wicked people where they stand.
Ee, rang joma sungore duto kendo, ikumgi kama gichungoeno mondo omi gibolre.
13 Bury them in the earth together; imprison their faces in the hidden place.
Ikgi duto e lowo; mondo ji kik negi kendo.
14 Then will I also acknowledge about you that your own right hand can save you.
Kinyalo timo kamano to an owuon ema anakuong paki ni tekri iwuon ema omiyo iloyo.
15 Look now at the behemoth, which I made when I made you; he eats grass like an ox.
“Parane rawo, mane achweyo kaka ne achweyi kendo machamo lum kaka rwadh pur chamo.
16 See now, his strength is in his loins; his power is in his belly's muscles.
Parie teko mangʼeny ma en-go, kendo parie teko maduongʼ manie leche mag dende!
17 He makes his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are joined together.
Iwe yamo tero ka yiend sida; kendo leche manie bembene omoko kuome maber.
18 His bones are like tubes of bronze; his legs are like bars of iron.
Chokene otegno ka mula, kendo tiendene otegno ka chuma.
19 He is the chief of the creatures of God. Only God, who made him, can defeat him.
Ikwane kaka chwech maberie moloyo mar Nyasaye e kind le duto, kendo en mana Jachwechne kende ema nyalo chome gi ligangla.
20 For the hills provide him with food; the beasts of the field play nearby.

21 He lies under the lotus plants in the shelter of the reeds, in the marshes.
Onindo piny ei saka kendo opondo e dier odundu motwi e thidhna.
22 The lotus plants cover him with their shade; the willows of the brook are all around him.
Saka oime gi tipone; kendo omburi motwi e tie aora olwore.
23 See, if a river floods its banks, he does not tremble; he is confident, though the Jordan should surge up to his mouth.
Kata ka aora opongʼ moo oko, to ok bwoge; chunye ngʼich angʼicha kata ka aora Jordan opongʼ kendo mwomore marach.
24 Can anyone capture him with a hook, or pierce his nose through with a snare?
En ngʼa manyalo dino wangʼe mi make, kata madi duode mi tuch ume?
