2 Chronicles 3
1 Then Solomon began to build the house of Yahweh at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where Yahweh had appeared to David his father. He prepared the place that David had planned for it, at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
Empezó Salomón a edificar la Casa de Yahvé en Jerusalén, en el monte Moriah indicado anteriormente a su padre David, en el sitio donde David había hecho los preparativos, en la era de Ornan jebuseo.
2 He began to build on the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
Dio comienzo a las obras el día dos del mes segundo del año cuarto de su reinado.
3 Now these are the dimensions of the foundation that Solomon laid for the house of God. Using the old style cubit, the length was sixty cubits, and the width was twenty cubits.
He aquí (las dimensiones) de los fundamentos que puso Salomón, para edificar la Casa de Dios: la longitud en codos de la medida antigua: sesenta codos, y la anchura: veinte codos.
4 The length of the portico at the front of the house was twenty cubits, matching the building's width. Its height was also twenty cubits, and Solomon overlaid its interior with pure gold.
El pórtico que servía de fachada y cuya longitud correspondía al ancho de la Casa, tenía una longitud de veinte codos y una altura de ciento veinte. Lo recubrió por dentro de oro puro.
5 He fashioned the ceiling of the main hall with cypress, which he overlaid with fine gold, and which he carved with palm trees and chains.
Revistió la Casa mayor de madera de ciprés y la recubrió de oro fino, haciendo esculpir en ella palmas y cadenillas.
6 He decorated the house with precious stones; the gold was gold from Parvaim.
Revistió también la Casa de piedras preciosas para adornarla; el oro era oro de Parvaim.
7 He also overlaid its beams, thresholds, walls, and doors with gold; he carved cherubs on its walls.
Así cubrió de oro tanto la Casa, las vigas, los umbrales, sus paredes y sus puertas, y esculpió querubines sobre las paredes.
8 He built the most holy place. Its length matched the house's width, twenty cubits, and its width was also twenty cubits. He overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
Construyó también la Casa del Santísimo, cuya longitud, correspondiente al ancho de la Casa, era de veinte codos, y su anchura igualmente de veinte codos. Lo revistió de oro puro, que pesaba seiscientos talentos.
9 The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid its high surfaces with gold.
Los clavos de oro pesaban cincuenta siclos. Cubrió de oro también los pisos altos.
10 He made two images of cherubs for the most holy place; craftsmen overlaid them with gold.
En el interior de la Casa del Santísimo hizo dos querubines, de obra esculpida, que revistió de oro.
11 The wings of the cherubs were twenty cubits long all together; the wing of one cherub was five cubits long, reaching to the wall of the room; the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
Las alas de los querubines tenían veinte codos de largo. La una del primero era de cinco codos y tocaba la pared de la Casa; la otra ala tenía también cinco codos, y tocaba el ala del otro querubín.
12 The wing of the other cherub was also five cubits, reaching to the wall of the room; its other wing was also five cubits, touching the wing of the first cherub.
Del mismo modo un ala del otro querubín era de cinco codos y tocaba la pared de la Casa; la otra ala tenía también cinco codos, y se juntaba al ala del primer querubín.
13 The wings of these cherubs spread a total of twenty cubits. The cherubs stood on their feet, with their faces toward the main hall.
Las alas de estos querubines medían desplegadas veinte codos. Estaban ellos de pie, y con sus caras vueltas hacia la Casa.
14 He made the curtain of blue, purple, and crimson wool and fine linen, and he fashioned cherubs on it.
Asimismo hizo el velo, de jacinto, púrpura escarlata, carmesí y lino fino, en el cual hizo bordar querubines.
15 Solomon also made two pillars, each thirty-five cubits high, for in front of the house; the capitals that were on the top of them were five cubits high.
Delante de la Casa hizo dos columnas de treinta y cinco codos de alto. El capitel que las coronaba tenía cinco codos.
16 He made chains for the pillars and put them on top of them; he also made one hundred pomegranates and joined them to the chains.
Forjó, además, cadenillas (como) en el Santísimo, y las colocó sobre los remates de las columnas; e hizo cien granadas, que puso en las cadenillas.
17 He set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; he named the pillar on the right Jakin, and the pillar on the left Boaz.
Erigió las columnas delante del Templo, una a la derecha, y la otra a la izquierda, llamando la de la derecha Jaquín, y la de la izquierda Boas.
