Psalms 87

1 The city that Yahweh established is on his sacred hill.

Mazmur kaum Korah, sebuah nyanyian. TUHAN mendirikan kota-Nya di atas bukit-Nya yang suci.

2 He loves that city, Jerusalem, more than he loves any other city in Israel.

Dari semua kota di Israel, Yerusalem yang paling dikasihi-Nya.

3 [You people in] [APO] the city that God (owns/lives in), people say wonderful things about your city.

Dengarlah, hai kota Allah, hal-hal yang menakjubkan dikatakan-Nya tentang engkau:

4 [Some of those who know about God are the people of] Egypt and Babylonia, and also [the people of] Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia; [some day they all] will say, “[Although I was not born in Jerusalem], [because I belong to Yahweh, it is as though] I was born there.”

"Mesir dan Babel akan Kumasukkan dalam daftar bangsa-bangsa yang taat kepada-Ku. Bahkan Filistea, Tirus dan Sudan masuk bilangan penduduk Yerusalem."

5 And concerning Jerusalem, people will say [“It is as though] everyone was born there, and Almighty God will cause that city to remain strong/safe/secure.”

Kepada Sion orang akan berkata, bahwa semua bangsa termasuk warganya, dan bahwa Yang Mahatinggi akan mengukuhkan dia.

6 Yahweh will write a list of [the names of] the people of various groups [who belong to him], and he will say that [he considers them] all to be citizens of Jerusalem.

TUHAN akan memasukkan bangsa-bangsa dalam daftar penduduk Yerusalem.

7 They will all dance and sing, saying, “Jerusalem is the source of all our blessings.”

Mereka akan menari dan menyanyi, "Sion adalah tempat asalku!"
