< Psalms 62 >
1 God is the only one who can give me peace in my inner being, and he is the one who saves me [from my enemies].
Ngoqotho, umphefumulo wami uyamlindela uNkulunkulu ngokuthula; luvela kuye usindiso lwami.
2 Only he is like an [overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he will be [like] a shelter, [with the result that] I will never be defeated [MET].
Nguye kuphela olidwala lami losindiso lwami, inqaba yami; kangiyikunyikinywa kakhulu.
3 When will you, [my enemies], stop attacking me [RHQ]? I feel that I am [as useless against you as] a wall that is about to fall over or a broken-down fence [MET].
Koze kube nini liceba ububi limelene lomuntu? Lonke lizabulawa, njengomduli otshekileyo, uthango oludilikayo.
4 My enemies plan to remove me from my important position so that people no longer honor me. They delight in telling lies. They bless people by what they say [MTY], but in their inner beings they curse [those people].
Baceba kuphela ukumwisa ekuphakameni kwakhe, bathokoza ngamanga; ngomlomo wabo bayabusisa, kodwa ngaphakathi kwabo bayathuka. (Sela)
5 God is the only one who gives me peace in my inner being; he is the one whom I confidently expect [to help me].
Mphefumulo wami, lindela ngokuthula kuNkulunkulu kuphela; ngoba ithemba lami livela kuye.
6 Only he is [like an overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he is [like] a shelter, and [as a result] I will never be defeated.
Nguye kuphela olidwala lami losindiso lwami, inqaba yami; kangiyikunyikinywa.
7 God is the one who saves me and honors me. He is [like an overhanging] strong rock under which I [can] find shelter [MET].
LukuNkulunkulu usindiso lwami lodumo lwami, idwala lamandla ami, isiphephelo sami, kukuNkulunkulu.
8 [You my] people, always trust in him. Tell him all your troubles, because he is (our refuge/the one who protects us) [MET].
Thembani kuye isikhathi sonke, lina bantu; lithulule inhliziyo yenu phambi kwakhe; uNkulunkulu uyisiphephelo sethu. (Sela)
9 People who are considered to be unimportant are [as worthless/unreliable as] a breath of air; people who are considered to be important [also] really (amount to nothing/cannot be trusted [to help us)]. If you put them all on a scale, [it would be as if] they weighed less than a puff of air.
Ngoqotho, abantukazana bayize, izikhulu ziyinkohliso; esilinganisweni balula kuleze bebonke.
10 Do not trust in money gained by extorting it from others; do not try to gain anything by robbing others. If you become very wealthy, do not trust in [IDM] your money.
Lingathembeli embandezelweni, lingamisi ithemba eliyize ekuphangeni; uba inotho isanda, lingabeki inhliziyo kuyo.
11 I have heard God say more than once that he is the one who [really] has power,
UNkulunkulu ukhulumile kwaba kanye, ngikuzwile lokhu kabili, ukuthi amandla angakaNkulunkulu.
12 and that he is the one who faithfully loves [us]. He rewards every one [of us] according to the deeds that we do.
Lomusa ungowakho, Nkosi; ngoba wena uyamphindisela wonke umuntu njengokomsebenzi wakhe.
