< Psalms 61 >
1 God, listen to me, and answer my prayer [DOU]!
Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ ọma Devid nke eji ụbọ akwara akpọ. Nụrụ akwa m, O Chineke, gee ntị nʼekpere m.
2 While I am discouraged and far from my home, I am calling out to you. Lead me to [the place that is like] a high rock [MET] on top of which I will be safe.
Ana m akpọku gị site na nsọtụ nke ụwa, ana m akpọku gị mgbe obi m na-ada mba; duru m gaa nʼoke nkume ahụ nke karịrị m elu.
3 You have been my refuge; you have been [like] a strong tower [MET] [in which I am safe] from being attacked by my enemies.
Nʼihi na ị bụrịị ebe mgbaba m, na ụlọ ahụ dịkarịrị elu, sie ike imegide onye iro ahụ.
4 Allow me to live close to your temple all during my life [HYP]! Allow me to be safe [MET], [like a little bird is safe] under [its mother’s] wings.
Ọ na-agụ m ibi nʼụlọ ikwu gị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, ka m gbaba, zere ndụ nʼokpuru nku gị abụọ. (Sela)
5 God, you heard me when I solemnly promised [to give offerings to you]; you have given to me the blessings that belong to those who have an awesome respect for you [MTY].
Nʼihi na gị onwe gị, Chineke, anụla nkwa niile m kwere; i nyela m ihe nketa nke ndị na-atụ egwu aha gị.
6 [I am] the king [of Israel]; [please] allow me to live [and rule] for many years, and allow my descendants to rule [also].
Tụkwasị ọtụtụ ụbọchị na ndụ eze, mee ka afọ ya ruo ọtụtụ ọgbọ.
7 Allow us to rule forever while you observe us; watch over us while you faithfully love us and do for us what you promised.
Kwere ka ọ nọrọ nʼocheeze nʼihu Chineke ruo mgbe ebighị ebi; zidata ịhụnanya gị na ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị, ka ha na-echezikwa ya.
8 If you do that, I will always sing to praise you [MTY] while I offer to you each day the sacrifices that I promised to give to you.
Mgbe ahụ, aga m abụ abụ otuto nye aha gị, ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Aga m emezukwa nkwa m kwere gị ụbọchị niile.
