< Psalms 50 >
1 God, the all-powerful one, speaks; he summons all people, from the east to the west.
Saamu ti Asafu. Olúwa, Ọlọ́run alágbára, sọ̀rọ̀ kí o sì pe ayé jọ láti ìlà-oòrùn títí dé ìwọ̀ rẹ̀.
2 His glory shines from Zion [Hill in Jerusalem], an extremely beautiful city.
Láti Sioni wá, pípé ni ẹwà, Ọlọ́run tí ń tan ìmọ́lẹ̀
3 Our God comes to us, and he is not silent. A great fire is in front of him, and a storm is around him.
Ọlọ́run ń bọ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kì yóò dákẹ́, iná yóò máa jó níwájú rẹ̀, àti ní àyíká rẹ̀ ni ẹ̀fúùfù líle yóò ti máa jà ká.
4 He comes to judge his people. He shouts to the [angels in] heaven and to [the people on] the earth.
Yóò sì pe àwọn ọ̀run láti òkè wá jọ àti ayé, kí o le máa ṣe ìdárò àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀.
5 He says, “Summon those who faithfully [worship] me, those who made an agreement with me by offering sacrifices to me.”
“Kó àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́ jọ fún mi àwọn tí wọn fi ẹbọ dá májẹ̀mú fún mi.”
6 The [angels in] heaven declare, “God is righteous, and he is the supreme judge.”
Àwọn ọ̀run yóò sì sọ̀rọ̀ òdodo rẹ̀, nítorí Ọlọ́run fúnra rẹ̀ ni onídàájọ́.
7 God says, “My people, listen! You Israeli people, listen, as I, your God, say what you have done that is wrong.
“Ẹ gbọ́, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn mi, èmi yóò si sọ̀rọ̀, ìwọ Israẹli, èmi yóò jẹ́rìí sí ọ: èmi ní Ọlọ́run, àní Ọlọ́run rẹ.
8 I am not rebuking you for making sacrifices to me, for the offerings that you completely burn [on the altar].
Èmi kí yóò bá ọ wí nítorí àwọn ìrúbọ rẹ, tàbí ọrẹ ẹbọ sísun rẹ, èyí tí ó wà níwájú mi ní ìgbà gbogbo.
9 But I do not really need [you to sacrifice] the bulls from your barns and the goats from your pens,
Èmí kò fẹ́ kí ó mú akọ màlúù láti inú ilé tí o kọ́ fún un, tàbí kí o mú òbúkọ láti inú agbo ẹran rẹ̀
10 because all the animals in the forest belong to me, [and all] the cattle on 1,000 hills also belong to me.
nítorí gbogbo ẹran igbó ni tèmi àti ẹran ọ̀sìn lórí ẹgbẹ̀rún òkè.
11 I [own and] know all the birds and all [the creatures] that move around in the fields.
Èmi mọ gbogbo ẹyẹ ní orí àwọn òkè ńlá àti gbogbo ẹ̀dá alààyè tí ó wà ní orí ilẹ̀ ni tèmi.
12 [So], if I were hungry, I would not tell you [to bring me some food], because everything in the world belongs to me!
Bí ebi tilẹ̀ ń pa mí, èmi kì yóò sọ fún ọ, nítorí ayé ni tèmi àti ohun gbogbo tí ó wa ní inú rẹ̀.
13 I do not eat the flesh of the bulls [that you sacrifice], and I do not drink the blood of the goats [that you offer to me].
Ǹjẹ́ èmi yóò ha jẹ ẹran akọ màlúù tàbí mú ẹ̀jẹ̀ òbúkọ?
14 The sacrifice [that I really want is that] you thank me and do all that you have promised to do.
“Rú ẹbọ ọpẹ́ sí Ọlọ́run, kí o sì san ẹ̀jẹ́ rẹ fún Ọ̀gá-ògo.
15 And pray to me when you have troubles. [If you do that], I will rescue you, and [then] you will praise me.
Kí o sì pè mí ní ọjọ́ ìpọ́njú, èmi yóò gbà ọ́, ìwọ yóò sì bu ọlá fún mi.”
16 But I say this to the wicked people: (Why do you/It does not benefit you at all to) [RHQ] recite my commandments or talk about the agreement that I made with you,
Ṣùgbọ́n Ọlọ́run sọ fún àwọn, ènìyàn búburú: “Kí ní ẹ̀tọ́ tí o ní tí ìwọ fi ń tún àwọn ìlànà mi sọ, tàbí tí ìwọ sì ń sọ májẹ̀mú mi ní ẹnu rẹ?
17 because you have refused to allow me to discipline you, and you have rejected what I told you to do.
Ìwọ kórìíra àṣẹ mi, ìwọ sì ṣá ọ̀rọ̀ mí tì sí apá kan.
18 Every time that you see a thief, you become his friend, and you spend [much] time with those who commit adultery.
Nígbà tí ìwọ rí olè, ìwọ dára pọ̀ mọ́ ọn, ìwọ sì da ara rẹ dé àwọn alágbèrè.
19 You are [always] talking [MTY] about doing wicked things, and you are [always] to deceive people.
Ìwọ lo ẹnu rẹ fún aburú, ìwọ sì ń fi ahọ́n rẹ pète ẹ̀tàn.
20 You are always accusing members of your own family [of doing wrong], and slandering them.
Ní ìgbà gbogbo ìwọ ń sọ̀rọ̀ sí arákùnrin rẹ, ìwọ sì ń ba orúkọ ọmọ ìyá rẹ jẹ́.
21 You did [all] those things, and I did not say anything to you, [so] you thought that I was [a sinner] just like you. But now I rebuke you and accuse you, right in front of you.
Àwọn nǹkan wọ̀nyí ni ìwọ ti ṣe, mo sì dákẹ́; ìwọ rò pé mo jẹ́ irú kan náà bí ìrẹ, ṣùgbọ́n èmi yóò bá ọ wí, èmi yóò sì fi ẹ̀sùn kàn ọ́ ní ojú ara rẹ.
22 So, all you who have ignored me, pay attention to this, because if you do not, I will tear you to pieces, and there will be no one to rescue you.
“Ǹjẹ́ ìwọ ro èyí wò, ẹ̀yin tí ó gbàgbé Ọlọ́run. Bí bẹ́ẹ̀ kọ́ èmi yóò fa yin ya pẹ́rẹpẹ̀rẹ, láìsí ẹni tí yóò gbà yin sílẹ̀.
23 The sacrifice that [truly] honors me is to thank me [for what I have done]; and I will save those who always do the things that I want them to.”
Ẹni tí ó ba ní ẹbọ ọrẹ-ọpẹ́ bu ọlá fún mi; kí ó sì tún ọ̀nà rẹ̀ ṣe, kí èmi kí ó le fi ìgbàlà Ọlọ́run hàn án.”
