< Psalms 46 >
1 God is the one who protects us and causes us to be strong; he is always ready to help us when we have troubles.
Kathutkung: Korah capanaw Cathut teh ka kânguenae hoi ka thaonae doeh. Runae tueng navah kabawmkung kahnai poung e doeh.
2 So, even if the earth shakes, we will not be afraid. Even if the mountains fall into the middle of the sea,
Hatdawkvah, talai heh kampuen niteh, monnaw teh talî dawk ka bawt nakunghai, ka taket mahoeh.
3 and if the water in the sea roars and foams, and the hills shake violently, we will not be afraid!
Tuinaw teh hramki laihoi ka phuen nakunghai, tuicapa ni mon totouh ka thaw nakunghai, ka taket mahoeh.
4 [Blessings that come from] God are like a river that makes everyone in the city where [we worship] God joyful. It is the city where the temple of God, who is greater than any other god, exists.
Palang buet touh ao teh, a cakang teh Cathut khopui, Lathueng Poung onae koe totouh, ka konawmsakkung lah ao.
5 God is in this city, and it will never be destroyed; he will [come to] help [the people in] that city at dawn every day.
Cathut teh a thung vah ao teh, kâhuen mahoeh. Khodai toteh Cathut ni a kabawp han.
6 [Sometimes] the [people of many] nations are terrified; kingdoms (are overthrown/cease to exist); God speaks [loudly like thunder], and the earth melts (OR, people everywhere become terrified) [MET].
Miphun pueng teh a hramki awh. Uknae pueng teh a kâhuet. Ahni ni a lawk a tho boteh, talai teh a kamyawt.
7 But Yahweh, the commander of the armies of heaven, is with us; the God whom Jacob worshiped (OR, we Israeli people worship) is our refuge.
Ransahu BAWIPA teh, maimouh koe ao teh, Jakop Cathut teh kânguenae doeh.
8 Come and (see/think about) the amazing things that Yahweh has done [DOU]!
Tho awh haw, BAWIPA ni a sak e naw hoi talai van e hno a raphoe e naw pueng hah khenhaw.
9 He stops wars all over the world; he breaks bows [and arrows]; he destroys spears; he burns up shields.
Ama ni tarantuknae hah talai pout totouh a roum sak teh, licung hah a khoe. Tahroe hah a tâtueng teh, lengnaw hah hmai hoi koung a sawi.
10 [God says], “Be quiet, and remember that I am God! I will be honored by the people of all nations. I will be honored all over the earth.”
Duem awm awh nateh, Cathut lah ka o e heh panuek awh. Miphunnaw koe tawm lah ka o vaiteh, talai van vah tawm lah ka o han.
11 [So never forget that] Yahweh, the commander of the armies of heaven, is with us; the God whom Jacob worshiped (OR, we Israeli people worship) is our refuge.
Ransahu BAWIPA teh, maimouh koe ao. Jakop Cathut teh kânguenae doeh,
