Psalms 125

1 Those/We who trust in Yahweh are [as secure/steadfast] [SIM] as Zion Hill, which cannot be shaken and can never be moved.

(Bài ca lên đền thờ) Ai tin cậy Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ giống Núi Si-ôn; không dao động, nhưng bất diệt trường tồn.

2 Like the hills that surround Jerusalem [protect the city], Yahweh protects [us], his people, and he will protect us forever.

Núi non bao bọc Giê-ru-sa-lem, như Chúa Hằng Hữu chở che dân Ngài, từ nay cho đến muôn đời.

3 Wicked people [MTY] should not [be allowed to] rule over the land where righteous [people] live. If they did that, those righteous [people] might [(be encouraged to imitate them and]) do things that are wrong.

Vì người ác không còn cầm quyền trên phần đất người công chính, để chúng ta khỏi bị ép buộc nhúng tay vào việc bất lương.

4 Yahweh, do good things to those who do good things to others and to those who sincerely obey your commands [IDM].

Chúa Hằng Hữu ôi, xin ban phước cho người hiền đức, là những người có lòng công chính.

5 But when you punish the wicked people [who are not Israelis], also punish those [Israelis] who turn away from walking on the good roads [MET] that you have shown them! I wish that things will go well for [people in] Israel!

Còn người đi theo đường cong queo, lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu. Xin phạt họ chung với những ai làm điều ác. Nguyện cầu thanh bình cho Ít-ra-ên!
