Psalms 124

1 You Israeli [people], [answer this question]: What [would have happened to us] if Yahweh had not been (helping/fighting for) us?

ଆରୋହଣ ଗୀତ; ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ରଚିତ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସପକ୍ଷ ହୋଇ ନ ଥାଆନ୍ତେ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଏବେ କହୁନ୍ତୁ;

2 When [our enemies] attacked us, if Yahweh had not been fighting for us,

ଲୋକମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଉଠିଲା ବେଳେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସପକ୍ଷ ହୋଇ ନ ଥାଆନ୍ତେ;

3 we would have all been killed [IDM] because they were very angry with us!

ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କୋପ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଜୀବ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଥାʼନ୍ତେ;

4 [They would have been like] [MET] a flood that swept/carried us away; [it would have been as though] the water would have covered us,

ତେବେ ଜଳରାଶି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଗ୍ନ କରିଥାʼନ୍ତା, ସ୍ରୋତ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାଣ ଉପର ଦେଇ ଯାଇଥାʼନ୍ତା

5 and we would [all] have drowned in the flood that was (raging/flowing very fast).

ତେବେ ଗର୍ବିତ ଜଳରାଶି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣ ଉପର ଦେଇ ଯାଇଥାʼନ୍ତା।

6 [But] praise Yahweh, because he has not allowed our [enemies to destroy us] [like wild animals] [MET] tear apart [the creatures that they capture].

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଧନ୍ୟ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦନ୍ତକୁ ଦେଇ ନାହାନ୍ତି।

7 We have escaped [from our enemies] like a bird escapes from the trap that hunters have set; [it is as though] the trap [that our enemies set for us] was broken and we have escaped from it!

ବ୍ୟାଧର ଫାନ୍ଦରୁ ପକ୍ଷୀ ପରି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଅଛି; ଫାନ୍ଦ ଛିଣ୍ଡିଗଲା, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଲୁ।

8 Yahweh is the one who helps us [MTY]; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.

ଆକାଶ ଓ ପୃଥିବୀର ନିର୍ମାଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ଥାଏ।
