< Psalms 121 >
1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”
Abụ nrigo. Aga m eweli anya m abụọ elu, lee ha nʼelu ugwu niile, olee ebe inyeaka ga-esi bịara m?
2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.
Inyeaka m na-esite nʼaka Onyenwe anyị, onye kere eluigwe na ụwa bịa.
3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.
Ọ gaghị ekwe ka ụkwụ gị gbụchapụ, onye na-eche gị nche na-amụ anya oge niile;
4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].
nʼezie onye na-eche Izrel nche adịghị arahụ ụra, ọ dịghị atụkwa oru ụra.
5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].
Onyenwe anyị na-eche gị nche, Onyenwe anyị bụ ndo gị nʼaka nri gị;
6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.
anyanwụ agaghị achagbu gị nʼehihie, ọnwa agaghị etigbukwa gị nʼabalị.
7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.
Onyenwe anyị ga-edebe gị ka ihe ọjọọ ọbụla ghara ịdakwasị gị. Ọ ga na-eche ndụ gị nche mgbe niile.
8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.
Onyenwe anyị ga-echebe gị mgbe ị na-apụ na mgbe ị na-abata abata, site ugbu a ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi.
