Psalms 120

1 When I had troubles, I called out to Yahweh and he answered me.

Песнь восхождения. К Господу воззвал я в скорби моей, и Он услышал меня.

2 [I prayed], “Yahweh, rescue/save me from people [SYN, MTY] who lie to me and [try to] deceive me!”

Господи! избавь душу мою от уст лживых, от языка лукавого.

3 You people who lie to me, [I will tell you] [RHQ] what [God] will do to you and what he will do to punish you.

Что даст тебе и что прибавит тебе язык лукавый?

4 He will shoot sharp arrows at you like soldiers do, and he will [burn you with] red-hot coals from [the wood of] a broom tree.

Изощренные стрелы сильного, с горящими углями дроковыми.

5 It is terrible for me, living among cruel/savage [DOU] people [like those who live] in Meshech [region] and Kedar [region].

Горе мне, что я пребываю у Мосоха, живу у шатров Кидарских.

6 I have lived for a long time among people who hate [to live with others] peacefully.

Долго жила душа моя с ненавидящими мир.

7 Every time I talk about living together peacefully, they talk about starting a war.

Я мирен: но только заговорю, они - к войне.
