Isaiah 52
1 [You people who live in the] holy city of Jerusalem [APO], wake up! Be strong again! Show that [MTY] your city is beautiful and glorious; foreigners who do not believe in God will not enter your city again [to attack you].
Hỡi Si-ôn, hãy thức dậy, thức dậy, mặc lấy sức mạnh ngươi! Hỡi Giê-ru-sa-lem, là thành thánh, hãy mặc lấy áo đẹp! Vì rày về sau kẻ không chịu phép cắt bì và kẻ ô uế sẽ không vào nơi ngươi nữa.
2 People of Jerusalem, get up from [humbly] sitting in the dust and sit in places where people are honored! You people who have returned from being exiled, take off from your neck the chains which were fastened around you [as slaves in Babylonia],
Hỡi Giê-ru-sa-lem, hãy chổi dậy, dũ bụi bặm đi, và ngồi lên; hỡi con gái Si-ôn, là kẻ phu tù, hãy cởi trói nơi cổ ngươi.
3 because this is what Yahweh says: “[When you were taken to Babylonia], no one paid me for doing that. So now I will bring you back without [being required to] pay for you!”
Vì Đức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Các ngươi đã bị bán nhưng không; cũng sẽ được chuộc lại chẳng bằng tiền bạc.
4 Yahweh [our] Lord [also] says this: “Long ago, my people went to Egypt to live there. [Later] they were being (oppressed/treated cruelly) by [the soldiers of] Assyria.
Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Xưa kia dân ta xuống Ê-díp-tô đặng trú ngụ; song người A-si-ri vô-cớ mà hà hiếp nó.
5 But now think about what is happening: My people are being forced to be slaves again, this time by the [people of Babylonia]. And [those who have conquered them this time have also] paid me nothing, and they despise me [MTY] continually [DOU].
Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Bây giờ, ta làm gì đây? Vì dân ta đã vô cớ bị đày đi. Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Những kẻ cai trị nó cất tiếng van la cả ngày, nói phạm đến danh ta không thôi.
6 But my people will then have a close relationship with [MTY] me, and when that happens, they will know that I am the one who predicted/promised [that it would happen]. It is I, [Yahweh, who will do it].”
Vậy nên dân ta sẽ biết danh ta; thật, trong ngày đó, nó sẽ biết rằng chính ta là Đấng phán rằng: Nầy, ta đây!
7 It is a wonderful thing when messengers [MTY] arrive on the mountains/hills, bringing good news, the news about [God giving us] peace and saving us, the news that the God to whom we [Israeli people] belong is now ruling/king!
Những kẻ đem tin tốt, rao sự bình an, đem tin tốt về phước lành, rao sự cứu chuộc, bảo Si-ôn rằng: Đức Chúa Trời ngươi trị vì, chân của những kẻ ấy trên các núi xinh đẹp là dường nào!
8 The watchmen [who are guarding the city] will shout and sing joyfully, because while they are watching they will see Yahweh returning to Jerusalem.
Tiếng những kẻ canh của ngươi! họ cất tiếng, cùng nhau hát xướng; vì họ sẽ thấy mắt đối mắt khi Đức Giê-hô-va trở về Si-ôn.
9 Jerusalem has been ruined, but the people who are there now should start to sing joyfully, because Yahweh will encourage his people; he will set his people free and bring them back to Jerusalem.
Hỡi những nơi hoang vu của Giê-ru-sa-lem, hãy trổi giọng hát mừng chung rập. Vì Đức Giê-hô-va đã yên ủi dân Ngài, đã chuộc lại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
10 Yahweh will show all the nations that he is holy and powerful. People in the most remote/distant places on earth will know that he has rescued his people.
Đức Giê-hô-va đã tỏ trần cánh tay thánh Ngài trước mắt mọi nước; mọi đầu cùng đất đã thấy sự cứu rỗi của Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta!
11 So, leave [the places where you were taken to when you were captured], where [everything is] unacceptable to God. You men who carry the items used for the worship of Yahweh, leave there [and return to Jerusalem], and purify yourselves [in order to be acceptable to worship God].
Các ngươi hãy đi, hãy đi, đi ra khỏi đó! Đừng động đến đồ ô uế, hãy ra khỏi giữa nó. Các ngươi là kẻ mang khí dụng Đức Giê-hô-va, hãy làm cho sạch mình!
12 But it will not [be necessary] for you to leave suddenly, to flee in panic, because Yahweh will (go in front of/lead) you; and he will [also] protect you [from being attacked] at the rear [while you travel].
Vả, các ngươi đi ra không cần phải vội vàng, cũng không cần phải trốn tránh; vì Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ đi trước mặt các ngươi, và Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên đi sau gìn giữ ngươi.
13 [Yahweh says], “Listen carefully! My servant will act wisely (OR, do the right things to accomplish what he wants to), and I will highly exalt him.”
Nầy, tôi tớ ta sẽ làm cách khôn ngoan; sẽ được tôn lên, dấy lên, và rất cao trọng.
14 But many people will be appalled when they see what has happened to him. [Because of his being beaten very badly], his appearance will be changed; people will hardly recognize that he is a human.
Như nhiều kẻ thấy ngươi mà lấy làm lạ (mặt mày người xài-xể lắm hơn kẻ nào khác, hình dung xài-xể hơn con trai loài người),
15 But he will cause [people of] many nations to be surprised; [even] kings will be silent when they stand in front of him, because they will see someone that no one had told them about [previously], and they will understand things that they had not heard about [before].
thì cũng vậy người sẽ vảy rửa nhiều dân, và các vua ngậm miệng lại vì người; vì họ sẽ thấy điều chưa ai nói cho mình, và sẽ hiểu biết điều mình chưa hề nghe.
