Genesis 6
1 When people began to become very numerous all over the earth, and many daughters were born to them,
At nangyari na nang nagsimulang dumami ang sangkatauhan sa mundo at ang mga anak na babae ay isinilang sa kanila,
2 some of the men who (belonged to/believed in) God saw that some of the women who did not (belong to/believe in) God were very beautiful. So they took whichever ones they chose to become their wives.
na nakita ng mga anak na lalaki ng Diyos na kaakit-akit ang mga anak na babae ng sangkatauhan. Kumuha sila ng mga asawa para sa kanilang sarili, kahit sino sa kanila na mapili nila.
3 Then Yahweh said, “[I will] not [allow] my Spirit to keep people alive forever (OR, the breath of life will not remain in people forever). They will die eventually. They will live not more than 120 years before they die (OR, there will be only 120 more years before they die).”
Sinabi ni Yahweh, “Ang aking espiritu ay hindi mananatili sa sangkatauhan magpakailanman, sapagkat sila ay laman. Mabubuhay sila ng 120 taon.”
4 There were [giants called] Nephils who lived on the earth at that time and later. During that time [some of the Nephil] men who (belonged to/believed in) God had sex [EUP] with women who did not (belong to/believe in) God, and they gave birth to children. The Nephils were considered to be heroic fighters, and they became famous.
Nasa mundo ang mga higante noong mga araw na iyon, at ganun din pagkatapos. Ito ay nangyari nang pinakasalan ng mga anak na lalaki ng Diyos ang mga anak na babae ng tao, at nagkaroon sila ng mga anak sa kanila. Ito ang mga malalakas na tao noong unang panahon, at mga lalaking kilala.
5 Yahweh saw that people on the earth had become very wicked, and that everything they thought about evil things continually.
Nakita ni Yahweh ang labis na kasamaan ng sangkatauhan sa mundo, at ang bawat pagkahilig ng kanilang puso ay patuloy na kasamaan lamang.
6 Yahweh was sorry that he had made people.
Nalungkot si Yahweh na ginawa niya ang sangkatauhan sa mundo, at ito ay nagdulot ng dalamhati sa kanyang puso.
7 So he said, “I will completely destroy the people I made. I will also destroy all the animals and the creatures that scurry across the ground and the birds. None of them will remain on the earth, because I regret that I made them.”
Kaya sinabi ni Yahweh, “Lilipulin ko ang sangkatauhang nilikha ko mula sa ibabaw ng mundo; kapwa ang sangkatauhan at ang higit na malalaking mga hayop, at gumagapang na mga bagay sa lupa at mga ibon sa kalangitan, dahil pinagsisihan kong ginawa ko sila.”
8 But Yahweh was pleased with Noah.
Pero nakasumpong si Noe ng pagtatangi sa mata ni Yahweh.
9 This is why: Noah was a man who always acted in a righteous way. No one who lived at that time could criticize him about anything. Noah lived in close fellowship with God.
Ito ang mga pangyayari patungkol kay Noe. Matuwid, at walang kapintasan si Noe sa gitna ng mga tao sa kanyang kapanahunan. Lumakad si Noe kasama ng Diyos.
10 Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Naging ama siya ng tatlong mga anak na lalaki: Sem, Ham at Jafet.
11 At that time God considered that everyone else on earth was very wicked, and everywhere on the earth, people [MTY] were acting cruelly and violently toward each other.
Ang mundo ay masama sa harapan ng Diyos, at ito'y puno ng karahasan.
12 God was dismayed when he saw how evil people [MTY] were, because everyone (OR, all living creatures) had begun to behave in an evil way.
Nakita ng Diyos ang mundo; masdan, ito ay masama, dahil lahat ng laman ay pinasama ang kanilang gawi sa ibabaw ng mundo.
13 So God said to Noah, “I have decided to destroy everyone, because all over the earth people are acting violently toward each other. So I am about to get rid of them as well as everything else on the earth.
Sinabi ng Diyos kay Noe, “Nakikita kong panahon na upang bigyang wakas ang lahat ng laman, sapagkat napuno na ng karahasan ang mundo sa pamamagitan nila. Katunayan, wawasakin ko sila kasama ng mundo.
14 [I want you to] make for yourself a large boat from cypress wood. Make rooms inside it. Cover the outside and the inside with tar [to make it (waterproof/so that water cannot get in and sink the boat]).
Gumawa ka para sa iyong sarili ng arka mula sa kahoy ng saypres. Gumawa ka ng mga silid sa arka, takpan mo ito ng aspalto sa loob at labas.
15 This is the size you must make it: It shall be (150 yards/135 meters) long, (25 yards/22.5 meters) wide, and (15 yards/13.5 meters) high.
Ganito mo ito gagawin: tatlong daang kubit ang haba ng arka, limampung kubit ang luwag nito, at tatlumpung kubit ang taas nito.
16 Make a roof for the boat. Leave a space of about (18 in./.5 meter) between the sides and the roof to let air and light enter (OR, the middle of the roof should be 18 inches higher than the sides). Build the boat with three decks inside, and put a door in one side.
Gumawa ka ng bubong para sa arka, at tapusin mo ito sa isang kubit mula sa itaas ng tagiliran. Maglagay ka ng pinto sa gilid ng arka at gumawa ka ng ilalim, pangalawa, at pangatlong palapag.
17 Listen carefully! I am about to cause a flood to occur that will destroy every creature that lives beneath the sky. Everything on the earth will die.
Makinig ka, malapit ko nang ipadala ang baha ng mga tubig sa mundo, upang lipulin ang lahat ng laman na may hininga ng buhay dito mula sa silong ng langit. Lahat ng bagay na nasa mundo ay mamamatay.
18 But I will make an agreement with you(sg): You and your wife, your sons and their wives will enter the boat.
Subalit itatatag ko ang aking tipan sa iyo. Papasok ka sa arka, ikaw, at ang iyong mga anak na lalaki, iyong asawa at mga asawa ng iyong mga anak.
19 And I want to save some of all kinds of creatures. So you must also bring two of all living creatures, a male and a female, into the boat with you, so that their species also may remain alive.
Mula sa bawat nabubuhay na nilalang ng lahat ng laman, dalawa ng bawat uri ang dapat mong dalhin sa arka, upang mananatili silang buhay kasama mo, kapwa lalaki at babae.
20 Two of every kind of creature will come to [in order that by your putting them in the boat] you will keep them alive. They will include two of each kind of bird and each kind of animal and each kind of creature that scurries across the ground.
Mga ibon ayon sa kanilang uri, at ang mga malalaking hayop ayon sa kanilang uri, bawat gumagapang na bagay sa lupa ayon sa kanyang uri, dalawa ng bawat uri ay pupunta sa iyo, upang panatilihin silang buhay.
21 You must also take some of every kind of food that you and all these animals will need, and store it in the boat.”
Tipunin mo para sa sarili mo ang bawat uri ng pagkaing makakain at itabi ito, para maging pagkain para sa iyo at sa kanila.”
22 So Noah did everything that God told him to do.
Kaya ginawa ito ni Noe. Ginawa niya ito, ayon sa lahat ng inutos ng Diyos.
The World is Destroyed by Water
