Ezekiel 38
1 Yahweh gave me another message. He said to me,
Veiu mais a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
2 “You human, turn and face Magog, the country where Gog [is the king]. He is [also] the ruler of [the nations of] Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy about [the terrible things that will happen to] him,
Filho do homem, dirige o teu rosto contra Gog, terra de Magog, principe e chefe de Mesech e Tubal, e prophetiza contra elle,
3 and say, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: Gog, you who rule Meshech and Tubal, I am opposed to you.
E dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Eis que eu estou contra ti, ó Gog, principe e chefe de Mesech e de Tubal;
4 [It will be as though] I will turn you around and put hooks in your jaws and bring you [to Israel]—you and all of your army, [including your] horses and men carrying weapons who ride the horses, and many other soldiers carrying large shields and small shields, all of them carrying swords.
E te farei voltar, e porei anzoes nos teus queixos, e te levarei a ti, com todo o teu exercito, cavallos e cavalleiros, todos vestidos bizarramente, congregação grande, com escudo e rodela, manejando todos a espada:
5 [Armies from] Persia, Ethiopia, and Put/Libya will also come, all of them with shields and helmets.
Persas, ethiopes, e puteos com elles, todos elles com escudo e capacete;
6 An army from Gomer [north of Israel] will come, and an army from Togarmah far north [of Israel] will come. Armies of many nations will accompany you.’
Gomer e todas as suas tropas, a casa de Togarma, da banda do norte, e todas as suas tropas, muitos povos comtigo.
7 [Tell Gog, ] ‘Get ready and be prepared to be the commander of all those groups of soldiers.
Prepara-te, e dispõe-te, tu e todas as tuas congregações que se ajuntaram ao pé de ti, e serve-lhes tu de guarda.
8 At some future time, I will command you to lead those armies to attack [Israel], a country whose [buildings] have been rebuilt after [they were destroyed in] wars. Their people will have been brought back from many nations [to live again] on the hills of Israel, which had been deserted for a long time. They had been brought back from [other] nations and will be living peacefully.
Depois de muitos dias serás visitado: no fim dos annos virás á terra que se retirou da espada, e que foi congregada d'entre muitos povos aos montes de Israel, que sempre serviram de assolação; mas aquella terra foi tirada d'entre os povos, e todos elles habitarão seguramente.
9 You and all those armies from many nations will go up to Israel, advancing like [SIM] a big storm. Your army will be like a huge cloud that covers the land.
Então subirás, virás como uma tempestade, far-te-has como uma nuvem para cobrir a terra, tu e todas as tuas tropas, e muitos povos comtigo.
10 But this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: On that day, you will have an idea about [DOU] doing an evil thing.
Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: E será n'aquelle dia que subirão conselhos sobre o teu coração, e maquinarás um mau designio,
11 You will say [to yourself], “My [army] will invade a country where the villages do not have walls around them. We will attack people who are peaceful and do not suspect/think [that they will be attacked]. Their towns and villages do not have walls with gates and bars.
E dirás: Subirei contra a terra das aldeias, virei contra os que estão em repouso, que habitam seguros; todos elles habitam sem muro, e não teem ferrolho nem portas;
12 So [it will be easy for] us to attack the people who are living again in those towns that were previously destroyed. They are people who have been gathered from many countries [where they had lived for many years], people who now live safely in their land with all their livestock and other possessions. They are living in the country that is in the middle of the most important countries (OR, [that they think is] [IRO] the most important country) in the world. Our soldiers will take away [DOU] all their valuable possessions.”
Para despojar o despojo, e para roubar o roubo, para tornar a tua mão contra as terras desertas que agora se habitam, e contra o povo que se ajuntou d'entre as nações, e já tem gado e possessões, que habita no meio da terra.
13 [Then people of] Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and nearby villages will come and say to you, “Are you gathering all your soldiers in order to [attack Israel and] take away all their silver and gold? [Do you plan] to take away their livestock and all their other valuable possessions [DOU]?”’
Sheba, e Dedan, e os mercadores de Tarsis, e todos os seus leõesinhos te dirão: Porventura tu vens a despojar o despojo? ou ajuntaste o teu ajuntamento para roubar o roubo? para levar a prata e o oiro, para tomar o gado e possessões, para despojar o grande despojo?
14 Therefore, you human, prophesy about Gog and say to him, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: At that time, when my people of Israel are living safely, you will certainly think about that.
Portanto, prophetiza, ó filho do homem, e dize a Gog: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Porventura não o experimentarás n'aquelle dia, quando o meu povo Israel habitar com segurança?
15 So you will come from your place far north [of Israel], with the armies of many [other] nations, all riding horses, a huge army.
Virás pois do teu logar, das bandas do norte, tu e muitos povos comtigo, montados todos a cavallo, grande ajuntamento, e exercito numeroso,
16 You will march toward my Israeli people, and [your soldiers] will cover the land like a huge cloud. Gog, I will bring your army to attack the country that belongs to me, but [what I do] for you will show the people of other nations that I am holy.
E subirás contra o meu povo Israel, como uma nuvem, para cobrir a terra: no fim dos dias succederá; então te trarei contra a minha terra, para que as nações me conheçam a mim, quando eu me houver sanctificado em ti aos seus olhos, ó Gog
17 This is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say to Gog: In past years, when I gave messages to my servants, the prophets [in Israel], there were messages [RHQ] about you. At that time, they prophesied for [many] years that I would bring your [armies] to attack my people.
Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Porventura não és tu aquelle de quem eu disse nos dias antigos, pelo ministerio de meus servos, os prophetas de Israel, que n'aquelles dias prophetizaram largos annos, que te traria contra elles?
18 [So] this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, say will happen: When your [army] attacks Israel, I will be very angry with you.
Succederá, porém, n'aquelle dia, no dia em que vier Gog contra a terra de Israel, diz o Senhor Jehovah, que a minha indignação subirá a meus narizes.
19 I will be very furious, and to show that I am angry, there will be a great earthquake in Israel, [where your armies will be].
Porque fallei no meu zelo, no fogo do meu furor, que n'aquelle dia haverá grande tremor sobre a terra de Israel;
20 The fish in the sea, the birds, the wild animals, and the animals/creatures that crawl on the ground, and all the people on the earth will tremble because of what I [am doing]. Mountains will fall down, cliffs will crumble, and walls everywhere will fall to the ground.
De tal maneira que tremerão diante da minha face os peixes do mar, e as aves do céu, e os animaes do campo, e todos os reptis que se arrastam sobre a terra, e todos os homens que estão sobre a face da terra; e os montes serão deitados abaixo, e os precipicios cairão, e todos os muros cairão á terra.
21 Gog, on all the mountains in the country that belongs to me I will cause your soldiers to fight against each other with their swords.
Porque chamarei sobre elle a espada por todos os meus montes, diz o Senhor Jehovah: a espada de cada um se voltará contra seu irmão.
22 I will punish [MTY] you [and your soldiers] with plagues and murders [MTY]. And I will send down [from the sky], on you and your troops that have come from many nations, huge amounts of rain and hail and burning sulfur.
E contenderei com elle pela peste e pelo sangue; e uma chuva inundante, e grandes pedras de saraiva, fogo, e enxofre choverei sobre elle, e sobre as suas tropas, e sobre os muitos povos que estiverem com elle.
23 By doing that, I will cause [the people of] many nations to know that I am very great and holy, and they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do the things that I say that I will do].’”
Assim eu me engrandecerei e me sanctificarei, e me farei conhecer aos olhos de muitas nações; e saberão que eu sou o Senhor.
