1 Chronicles 4
1 The descendants of Judah were Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, and Shobal.
१यहूदाच्या मुलांची नावे पेरेस, हेस्रोन, कर्मी, हूर आणि शोबाल.
2 Shobal’s son was Reaiah. Reaiah was the father of Jahath, and Jahath was the father of Ahumai and Lahad. They were the ancestors of the Zorath people-group.
२शोबालचा पुत्र राया त्याचा पुत्र यहथ. यहथाचे पुत्र अहूमय आणि लहद. सराथी लोक म्हणजे या दोघांचे वंशज होत.
3 The oldest son of Caleb and his wife Ephrathah was Hur. Hur was the one who started/founded Bethlehem [town]. His three sons were Etam, Penuel, and Ezer. Etam’s sons were Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash. Their sister was Hazzelelponi. Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer was the father of Hushah.
३इज्रेल, इश्मा व इद्बाश ही एटामाची पुत्र. त्यांच्या बहिणीचे नाव हस्सलेलपोनी होते.
४पनुएलाचा पुत्र गदोर आणि एजेरचा पुत्र हूशा ही हूरची पुत्र. हूर हा एफ्राथाचा प्रथम जन्मलेला पुत्र आणि बेथलेहेमाचा बाप होता.
5 [Hezron’s son] Ashhur, the father of Tekoa, had two wives whose names were Helah and Naarah.
५अश्शूरचा पुत्र तकोवा. तकोवाला दोन स्त्रिया होत्या. हेला आणि नारा.
6 The sons of Asshur and his wife Naarah were Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari.
६नाराला अहुज्जाम, हेफेर, तेमनी आणि अहष्टारी हे पुत्र झाले.
7 The sons of [Ashhur and his wife] Helah were Zereth, Zohar, Ethnan,
७सेरथ, इसहार, एथ्रान हे हेलाचे पुत्र.
8 and Koz. Koz was the father of Anub, Hazzobebah, and the ancestor of the clans descended from Aharhel. Aharhel was the son of Harum.
८हक्कोसाने आनूब आणि सोबेबा यांना जन्म दिला. हारुमचा पुत्र अहरहेल याच्या घराण्यांचे कुळही कोसच होते.
9 [There was another descendant of Judah whose name was] Jabez. [He] was more respected than his brothers were. His mother named him Jabez [which means ‘pain’] because she said, “I was enduring much pain when I gave birth to him.”
९याबेस आपल्या भावांपेक्षा फार आदरणीय होता. त्याच्या आईने त्याचे नाव याबेस ठेवले. ती म्हणाली, “कारण याच्यावेळी मला असह्य प्रसववेदना झाल्या.”
10 [One day] he prayed to God whom his fellow Israelis [worshiped], saying, “Please greatly bless me and (enlarge my land/give me a lot of land/property). Remain [IDM] with me, and do not allow anyone to harm me. If you do that for me, I will not have any pain.” And God did what Jabez requested him to do.
१०याबेसाने इस्राएलाच्या देवाची प्रार्थना केली. याबेस म्हणाला, “तू खरोखर मला आशीर्वाद देशील. माझ्या प्रदेशाच्या सीमा वाढविशील. माझ्यावर संकट येऊन मी दुःखीत होऊ नये म्हणून तुझा हात माझ्यावर राहील तर किती चांगले होईल.” आणि देवाने त्याची विनंती मान्य केली.
11 [Another descendant of Judah was] Shuhah. His [younger] brother Kelub was the father of Mehir. Mehir was the father of Eshton.
११शूहाचा भाऊ कलूब. कलूबचा पुत्र महीर. महीरचा पुत्र एष्टोन.
12 Eshton was the father of Beth-Rapha, Paseah, and Tehinnah. Tehinnah founded Nahash [town], but their families lived in Recah [town].
१२बेथ-राफा, पासेहा आणि तहिन्ना ही एष्टोनचे पुत्र. तहिन्नाचा पुत्र ईर-नाहाश. हे रेखा येथील लोक होत.
13 [Another descendant of Judah was] Jephunneh. His son was Caleb. Caleb’s sons were Iru, Elah, and Naam. Elah’s son was Kenaz. The sons of Kenaz were Othniel and Seraiah. Othniel’s sons were Hathath and Meonothai. Meonothai was the father of Ophrah. Seraiah was the father of Joab. Joab was the ancestor of the people who lived in Craftsmen’s Valley. The valley was named that because many of the people who lived there were (craftsmen/men who were experts in making things).
१३अथनिएल आणि सराया हे कनाजचे पुत्र. हथथ आणि म्योनोथाय हे अथनिएलाचा पुत्र.
१४म्योनोथायने अफ्राला जन्म दिला आणि सरायाने यवाबला जन्म दिला. यवाब हा गे-हराशीम जे कुशल कारागीराचे मूळपुरुष होय. तेथील लोक कुशल कारागीर असल्यामुळे त्यांनी हे नाव घेतले.

16 [Another descendant of Judah was] Jehallelel. His sons were Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.
१६जीफ, जीफा, तीऱ्या आणि असरेल हे यहल्ललेलाचे पुत्र.
17 [Another descendant of Judah was Ezrah.] Ezrah’s sons were Jether, Mered, Epher, and Jalon. Mered married Bithiah, who was the daughter of the king of Egypt. The children of Mered and Bithiah were Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah. Ishbah was the father of Eshtemoa. Ezrah also had a wife from Judah. She gave birth to Jered, Heber, and Jekuthiel. Jered was the father of (OR, founded the town of) Gedor, Heber was the father of (OR, founded the town of) Soco, and Jekuthiel was the father of (OR, founded the town of) Zanoah.
१७एज्राचे पुत्र येथेर व मरद, येफेर व यालोन. मेरेदाची मिसरी पत्नीने मिर्याम, शम्माय आणि एष्टमोवाचा पिता इश्बह यांना जन्म दिला.
१८त्याच्या यहूदी पत्नीला गदोराचा पिता येरेद, सोखोचा पिता हेबेर आणि जानोहाचा पिता यकूथीएल हे झाले. हे बिथ्याचे पुत्र होते, फारोची मुलगी बिथ्या जिच्याशी मेरेदाने लग्न केले होते.
19 Hodiah’s wife, who was Naham’s sister, bore two sons. One of them was the father of Keilah, the ancestor of the Gar people-group, and the other one was the father of Eshtemoa, the ancestor of the Maacath people-group.
१९होदीयाची पत्नी ही नहमाची बहीण होती. हिचे पुत्र गार्मी कईला आणि माकाथी एष्टमोवा यांचे पिता होते.
20 [Another descendant of Judah was Shimon]. Shimon’s sons were Amnon, Rinnah, Ben-Hanan, and Tilon. [Another descendant of Judah was] Ishi. His descendants were Zoheth and Ben-Zoheth.
२०अम्नोन, रिन्ना, बेन-हानान, तिलोन हे शिमोनाचे पुत्र. इशीचे पुत्र जोहेथ आणि बेन-जोहेथ.
21 One of Judah’s sons was Shelah. Shelah’s sons were Er the father of Lecah, Laadah the father of Mareshah, the families of those who made things from linen at Beth-Ashbea,
२१यहूदाचा पुत्र शेला याच्यापासून लेखाचा पिता एर, मारेशाचा पिता लादा, आणि तलम कापडाचे कसबाचे काम करणारे अश्बेच्या घराण्यातली ही कुळे झाली.
22 Jokim, and the men of Cozeba [town], and Joash and Saraph, two men who married women from [the] Moab [region] and later lived in Bethlehem (OR, and ruled in Jashubi-Lehem). All their names and a record of what they did are written in very old scrolls.
२२तसेच त्याच्यापासून योकीम, कोजेबा येथील लोक योवाश आणि मवाबीवर अधिकार चालवणारे साराफ व याशूबी-लेहेम हे जन्मले. फार जुन्या बातमीतून ही नोंद घेतली आहे.
23 They made pottery for the king; some of them lived in Netaim [town] and some of them lived in Gederah [town].
२३शेलाचे वंशज हे कुंभार असून ते नेताईम आणि गदेरा येथे राजाच्या चाकरीत होते.
24 Simeon’s sons were Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, and Shaul.
२४नमुवेल, यामीन, यरिब, जेरह, शौल हे शिमोनाचे पुत्र.
25 Shaul’s son was Shallum. Shallum’s son was Mibsam. Mibsam’s son was Mishma.
२५शौलाचा पुत्र शल्लूम. शल्लूमचा पुत्र मिबसाम. मिबसामचा पुत्र मिश्मा.
26 Mishma’s son was Hammuel. Hammuel’s son was Zaccur. Zaccur’s son was Shimei.
२६मिश्माचा पुत्र हम्मूएल. हम्मूएलचा पुत्र जक्कूर. जक्कूरचा पुत्र शिमी.
27 Shimei had 16 sons and six daughters, but none of his brothers had many children. So the descendants of Simeon never were as many as the descendants of [his younger brother] Judah.
२७शिमीला सोळा मुले आणि सहा मुली होत्या. पण शिमीच्या भावांना फारशी पुत्र बाळे झाली नाहीत. यहूदातील घराण्यांप्रमाणे त्यांचे घराणे वाढले नाही.
28 The descendants of Simeon lived in [these cities and towns]: Beersheba, Moladah, Hazar-Shual,
२८शिमीच्या वंशजातील लोक बैर-शेबा, मोलादा व हसर-शुवाल.
29 Bilhah, Ezem, Tolad,
२९बिल्हा, असेम, तोलाद,
30 Bethuel, Hormah, Ziklag,
३०बथुवेल, हर्मा सिकलाग,
31 Beth-Marcaboth, Hazar-Susim, Beth-Biri, and Shaaraim. They lived in those places until David became king.
३१बेथ-मर्का-बोथ, हसर-सुसीम, बेथ-बिरी व शाराइम येथे राहत होते. दावीदाच्या कारकीर्दीपर्यंत ही त्यांची नगरे होती.
32 They also lived in villages near those towns: Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Token, and Ashan.
३२त्यांचे गांव एटाम, अईन, रिम्मोन, तोखेन आणि आशान अशी या पाच नगरांची नावे.
33 There were other villages where they lived, as far [southwest] as Baalath [town]. Those were the places where they lived, and their names, according to the family records.
३३बालापर्यंत त्याच नगरांच्या आसपासच्या खेड्यापाड्यांमधूनही ते राहत होते. आपल्या वंशावळींची नोंदही त्यांनीच ठेवली.
34 The men in the following list were the leaders of their clans: Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah the son of Amaziah, Joel, and Jehu the son of Joshibiah. Joshibiah was the son of Seraiah and the grandson of Asiel. Other clan leaders were Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah, and Ziza. Ziza was the son of Shiphi and the grandson of Allon, who was the son of Jedaiah, who was the son of Shimri, who was the son of Shemaiah. Those families became very large/numerous.
३४त्यांच्या घराण्यातील वडिलाची नांवे मेशोबाब, यम्लेक, अमस्याचा पुत्र योशा,
३५योएल, येहू हा योशिब्याचा पुत्र, सरायाचा पुत्र योशिब्या, असिएलचा पुत्र सराया,
३६एल्योवेनाय, याकोबा, यशोहाया, असाया, अदीएल, यशीमिएल, बनाया,
३७जीजा हा शिफीचा पुत्र. शिफी हा अल्लोनचा पुत्र, अल्लोन यदायाचा पुत्र, यदाया शिम्रीचा पुत्र, आणि शिम्री शमायाचा पुत्र.

39 They went outside of Gedor [town] on the east side of the valley to look for pastureland for their flocks of sheep.
३९ते खोऱ्याच्या पूर्वेला गदोरच्या सीमेबाहेरही जाऊन पोहोंचले. आपल्या कळपांना चरायला गायराने हवे म्हणून जमिनीच्या शोधात ते गेले.
40 They found good pastureland with plenty of grass. The place was peaceful and quiet. Previously the descendants of [Noah’s son] Ham had lived there.
४०त्यांना विपुल व चांगली गायराने मिळाली. तो देश मोठा असून शांत व स्वस्थ होता. हामाचे वंशज पूर्वी या भागात राहत असत.
41 But while Hezekiah was the king of Judah, the leaders of the tribe of Simeon came to Gedor and fought against the descendants of Ham and destroyed their tents. They also fought against the descendants of Meun who were living there, and they killed all of them. So now there are no descendants of Meun living there. The descendants of Simeon started to live there, because there was good pastureland there for their sheep.
४१हिज्कीया यहूदाचा राजा होता त्यावेळची ते लोक गदोरपर्यंत आले आणि हामच्या लोकांशी त्यांनी लढाई केली. हामच्या लोकांच्या राहुट्या त्यांनी उद्ध्वस्त केल्या. तेथे राहणाऱ्या मूनी लोकांसही त्यांनी ठार केले. आजही या भागात मूनी नावाचे लोक आढळत नाहीत. तेव्हा या लोकांनी तेथे वस्ती केली. मेंढरांसाठी गायराने असल्याने ते तेथे राहिले.
42 Ishi’s four sons Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah and Uzziel led 500 other descendants of Simeon [and attacked the people who were living] in the hilly area of the Edom [region].
४२शिमोनाच्या घराण्यातील पाचशे माणसे सेईर डोंगरावर त्याच्या नेत्याबरोबर गेली. इशीचे पुत्र पलट्या, निरह्या, रफाया आणि उज्जियेल हे होते.
43 They killed the few descendants of Amalek who were still alive. From that time until now, the descendants of Simeon have lived in [the] Edom [region].
४३काही अमालेकी लोकांचा त्यातूनही निभाव लागला ते तेवढे अजून आहेत. त्यांना शिमोन्यांनी ठार केले. तेव्हापासून सेईरमध्ये अजूनही शिमोनी लोक राहत आहेत.
