Proverbs 23
1 for to dwell to/for to feed on with to rule to understand to understand [obj] which to/for face: before your
| כִּֽי־תֵשֵׁב לִלְחוֹם אֶת־מוֹשֵׁל בִּין תָּבִין אֶת־אֲשֶׁר לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃ |
2 and to set: put knife in/on/with throat your if master: men soul: appetite you(m. s.)
| וְשַׂמְתָּ שַׂכִּין בְּלֹעֶךָ אִם־בַּעַל נֶפֶשׁ אָֽתָּה׃ |

| אַל־תִּתְאָו לְמַטְעַמּוֹתָיו וְהוּא לֶחֶם כְּזָבִֽים׃ |
4 not be weary/toil to/for to enrich from understanding your to cease
| אַל־תִּיגַע לְֽהַעֲשִׁיר מִֽבִּינָתְךָ חֲדָֽל׃ |
5 ( to fly *Q(K)*) eye your in/on/with him and nothing he for to make to make to/for him wing like/as eagle (to fly *Q(K)*) [the] heaven
| (התעוף) [הֲתָעִיף] עֵינֶיךָ בּוֹ וְֽאֵינֶנּוּ כִּי עָשֹׂה יַעֲשֶׂה־לּוֹ כְנָפַיִם כְּנֶשֶׁר (ועיף) [יָעוּף] הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ |
6 not to feed on [obj] food: bread bad: evil eye: appearance and not (to desire *Q(K)*) to/for delicacy his
| אַל־תִּלְחַם אֶת־לֶחֶם רַע עָיִן וְאַל־תִּתְאָו לְמַטְעַמֹּתָֽיו׃ |
7 for like to calculate in/on/with soul his so he/she/it to eat and to drink to say to/for you and heart his not with you
| כִּי ׀ כְּמוֹ שָׁעַר בְּנַפְשׁוֹ כֶּן־הוּא אֱכוֹל וּשְׁתֵה יֹאמַר לָךְ וְלִבּוֹ בַּל־עִמָּֽךְ׃ |
8 morsel your to eat to vomit her and to ruin word your [the] pleasant
| פִּֽתְּךָ־אָכַלְתָּ תְקִיאֶנָּה וְשִׁחַתָּ דְּבָרֶיךָ הַנְּעִימִֽים׃ |

| בְּאׇזְנֵי כְסִיל אַל־תְּדַבֵּר כִּֽי־יָבוּז לְשֵׂכֶל מִלֶּֽיךָ׃ |

| אַל־תַּסֵּג גְּבוּל עוֹלָם וּבִשְׂדֵי יְתוֹמִים אַל־תָּבֹֽא׃ |

| כִּֽי־גֹאֲלָם חָזָק הֽוּא־יָרִיב אֶת־רִיבָם אִתָּֽךְ׃ |

| הָבִיאָה לַמּוּסָר לִבֶּךָ וְאׇזְנֶךָ לְאִמְרֵי־דָֽעַת׃ |
13 not to withhold from youth discipline for to smite him in/on/with tribe: staff not to die
| אַל־תִּמְנַע מִנַּעַר מוּסָר כִּֽי־תַכֶּנּוּ בַשֵּׁבֶט לֹא יָמֽוּת׃ |

| אַתָּה בַּשֵּׁבֶט תַּכֶּנּוּ וְנַפְשׁוֹ מִשְּׁאוֹל תַּצִּֽיל׃ (Sheol h7585) |
15 son: child my if be wise heart your to rejoice heart my also I
| בְּנִי אִם־חָכַם לִבֶּךָ יִשְׂמַח לִבִּי גַם־אָֽנִי׃ |
16 and to exult kidney my in/on/with to speak: speak lips your uprightness
| וְתַעְלֹזְנָה כִלְיוֹתָי בְּדַבֵּר שְׂפָתֶיךָ מֵישָׁרִֽים׃ |
17 not be jealous heart your in/on/with sinner that if: except if: except in/on/with fear LORD all [the] day
| אַל־יְקַנֵּא לִבְּךָ בַּחַטָּאִים כִּי אִם־בְּיִרְאַת־יְהֹוָה כׇּל־הַיּֽוֹם׃ |

| כִּי אִם־יֵשׁ אַחֲרִית וְתִקְוָתְךָ לֹא תִכָּרֵֽת׃ |

| שְׁמַע־אַתָּה בְנִי וַחֲכָם וְאַשֵּׁר בַּדֶּרֶךְ לִבֶּֽךָ׃ |

| אַל־תְּהִי בְסֹֽבְאֵי־יָיִן בְּזֹלְלֵי בָשָׂר לָֽמוֹ׃ |
21 for to imbibe and be vile to possess: poor and rags to clothe drowsiness
| כִּֽי־סֹבֵא וְזוֹלֵל יִוָּרֵשׁ וּקְרָעִים תַּלְבִּישׁ נוּמָֽה׃ |

| שְׁמַע לְאָבִיךָ זֶה יְלָדֶךָ וְאַל־תָּבוּז כִּֽי־זָקְנָה אִמֶּֽךָ׃ |

| אֱמֶת קְנֵה וְאַל־תִּמְכֹּר חׇכְמָה וּמוּסָר וּבִינָֽה׃ |

| (גול) [גִּיל] יָגִיל אֲבִי צַדִּיק (יולד) [וְיוֹלֵד] חָכָם (וישמח) [יִשְׂמַח־]בּֽוֹ׃ |
25 to rejoice father your and mother your and to rejoice to beget you
| יִֽשְׂמַח־אָבִיךָ וְאִמֶּךָ וְתָגֵל יוֹלַדְתֶּֽךָ׃ |

| תְּנָה־בְנִי לִבְּךָ לִי וְעֵינֶיךָ דְּרָכַי (תרצנה) [תִּצֹּֽרְנָה]׃ |

| כִּֽי־שׁוּחָה עֲמֻקָּה זוֹנָה וּבְאֵר צָרָה נׇכְרִיָּֽה׃ |

| אַף־הִיא כְּחֶתֶף תֶּאֱרֹב וּבוֹגְדִים בְּאָדָם תּוֹסִֽף׃ |
29 to/for who? woe! to/for who? pain! to/for who? (contention *Q(K)*) to/for who? complaint to/for who? wound for nothing to/for who? dullness eye
| לְמִי אוֹי לְמִי אֲבוֹי לְמִי (מדונים) [מִדְיָנִים ׀] לְמִי שִׂיחַ לְמִי פְּצָעִים חִנָּם לְמִי חַכְלִלוּת עֵינָֽיִם׃ |
30 to/for to delay upon [the] wine to/for to come (in): come to/for to search mixed drink
| לַֽמְאַחֲרִים עַל־הַיָּיִן לַבָּאִים לַחְקֹר מִמְסָֽךְ׃ |
31 not to see: see wine for to redden for to give: do (in/on/with cup *Q(K)*) eye his to go: went in/on/with uprightness
| אַל־תֵּרֶא יַּיִן כִּי יִתְאַדָּם כִּֽי־יִתֵּן (בכיס) [בַּכּוֹס] עֵינוֹ יִתְהַלֵּךְ בְּמֵֽישָׁרִֽים׃ |
32 end his like/as serpent to bite and like/as serpent to pierce
| אַחֲרִיתוֹ כְּנָחָשׁ יִשָּׁךְ וּֽכְצִפְעֹנִי יַפְרִֽשׁ׃ |
33 eye your to see: see be a stranger and heart your to speak: speak perversity
| עֵינֶיךָ יִרְאוּ זָרוֹת וְלִבְּךָ יְדַבֵּר תַּהְפֻּכֽוֹת׃ |

| וְהָיִיתָ כְּשֹׁכֵב בְּלֶב־יָם וּכְשֹׁכֵב בְּרֹאשׁ חִבֵּֽל׃ |
35 to smite me not be weak: ill to smite me not to know how to awake to add to seek him still
| הִכּוּנִי בַל־חָלִיתִי הֲלָמוּנִי בַּל־יָדָעְתִּי מָתַי אָקִיץ אוֹסִיף אֲבַקְשֶׁנּוּ עֽוֹד׃ |
