Nehemiah 4
1 and to be like/as as which to hear: hear Sanballat for we to build [obj] [the] wall and to be incensed to/for him and to provoke to multiply and to mock upon [the] Jew
Als nun Sanballat erfuhr, daß wir (wirklich) die Mauer wieder aufbauten, geriet er in Zorn und heftigen Ärger und spottete über die Juden,
2 and to say to/for face brother: compatriot his and strength: soldiers Samaria and to say what? [the] Jew [the] weak to make: do to leave: release to/for them to sacrifice to end: finish in/on/with day to live [obj] [the] stone from heap [the] dust and they(masc.) to burn
indem er in Gegenwart seiner Stammesgenossen und der Kriegsleute von Samaria sagte: »Was machen die ohnmächtigen Juden da? Wird man sie gewähren lassen? Werden sie jemals (das Dank-) Opfer darbringen? Werden sie damit eines Tages zu Ende kommen? Werden sie die Steine, die doch verbrannt sind, aus den Schutthaufen lebendig machen?«
3 and Tobiah [the] Ammon beside him and to say also which they(masc.) to build if to ascend: rise fox and to break through wall stone their
Und der Ammoniter Tobija, der neben ihm stand, sagte: »Was sie auch bauen mögen: springt nur ein Fuchs daran hinauf, so reißt er ihre Steinmauer auseinander!« –
4 to hear: hear God our for to be contempt and to return: return reproach their to(wards) head their and to give: give them to/for plunder in/on/with land: country/planet captive
Höre, unser Gott, wie wir zum Spott geworden sind! Laß ihre Schmähungen auf ihr Haupt zurückfallen und gib sie der Plünderung preis in einem Lande, wo man sie in Gefangenschaft hält!
5 and not to cover upon iniquity: guilt their and sin their from to/for face: before your not to wipe for to provoke to/for before [the] to build
Decke ihre Verschuldung nicht zu und laß ihre Sünde vor deinem Angesicht nicht ausgelöscht werden! Denn sie haben durch kränkende Reden gegen die am Bau Tätigen Ärgernis erregt. –
6 and to build [obj] [the] wall and to conspire all [the] wall till half her and to be heart to/for people to/for to make: do
Wir aber bauten an der Mauer weiter; und als die ganze Mauer bis zur halben Höhe fertig war, gewann das Volk neuen Mut zur Arbeit.
7 and to be like/as as which to hear: hear Sanballat and Tobiah and [the] Arabian and [the] Ammon and [the] Ashdod for to ascend: rise health to/for wall Jerusalem for to profane/begin: begin [the] to break through to/for to close and to be incensed to/for them much
Als aber Sanballat und Tobija sowie die Araber und Ammoniter und Asdoditer erfuhren, daß die Wiederherstellung der Mauern Jerusalems Fortschritte machte, und daß die Lücken sich zu schließen begannen, da gerieten sie in heftigen Zorn
8 and to conspire all their together to/for to come (in): come to/for to fight in/on/with Jerusalem and to/for to make: do to/for him error
und verschworen sich alle zusammen, sie wollten hinziehen, um Jerusalem anzugreifen und Schaden darin anzurichten.
9 and to pray to(wards) God our and to stand: stand custody upon them by day and night from face: because their
Da beteten wir zu unserm Gott und stellten aus Furcht vor ihnen bei Tag und Nacht Wachen gegen sie auf.
10 and to say Judah to stumble strength [the] burden and [the] dust to multiply and we not be able to/for to build in/on/with wall
Aber die Judäer erklärten: »Die Kraft der Lastträger ist erschöpft, und des Schuttes ist zu viel: wir sind nicht mehr imstande, an der Mauer zu arbeiten!«
11 and to say enemy our not to know and not to see: see till which to come (in): come to(wards) midst their and to kill them and to cease [obj] [the] work
Unsere Widersacher aber sagten: »Sie sollen nichts merken und nichts sehen, bis wir mitten unter sie kommen und sie totschlagen und so dem Bauen ein Ende machen!«
12 and to be like/as as which to come (in): come [the] Jew [the] to dwell beside them and to say to/for us ten beat from all [the] place which to return: return upon us
Als nun die Juden, die in ihrer Nachbarschaft wohnten, herbeikamen und es uns wohl zehnmal sagten, aus allen Orten, von denen sie ab und zu gingen,
13 and to stand: put from lower to/for place from after to/for wall (in/on/with bare *Q(K)*) and to stand: put [obj] [the] people to/for family with sword their spear their and bow their
da stellte ich hinter der Mauer an den tieferen Stellen das Volk nach den Geschlechtern mit ihren Schwertern, Lanzen und Bogen auf.
14 and to see: see and to arise: rise and to say to(wards) [the] noble and to(wards) [the] ruler and to(wards) remainder [the] people not to fear from face of their [obj] Lord [the] great: large and [the] to fear: revere to remember and to fight upon brother: compatriot your son: child your and daughter your woman: wife your and house: home your
Bei einer Besichtigung trat ich dann auf und sagte zu den Vornehmen und Vorstehern und zu dem übrigen Volke: »Fürchtet euch doch nicht vor ihnen! Denkt an den HERRN, den großen und furchtbaren Gott, und kämpft für eure Volksgenossen, eure Söhne und Töchter, eure Frauen und Häuser!«
15 and to be like/as as which to hear: hear enemy our for to know to/for us and to break [the] God [obj] counsel their (and to return: return *Q(k)*) all our to(wards) [the] wall man: anyone to(wards) work his
Als nun unsere Feinde erfuhren, daß die Sache zu unserer Kenntnis gekommen war und Gott ihren Anschlag vereitelt hatte, kehrten wir alle wieder zu der Mauer zurück, ein jeder an seine Arbeit.
16 and to be from [the] day [the] he/she/it half youth my to make: do in/on/with work and half their to strengthen: hold and [the] spear [the] shield and [the] bow and [the] armor and [the] ruler after all house: household Judah
Seit jenem Tage aber war nur die eine Hälfte meiner Leute am Bau tätig, während die andere Hälfte sich mit Lanzen, Schilden, Bogen und Panzern bereithielt und die Oberen hinter der ganzen jüdischen Bevölkerung standen,
17 [the] to build in/on/with wall and [the] to lift: bear in/on/with burden to lift in/on/with one hand his to make: do in/on/with work and one to strengthen: hold [the] missile
die an der Mauer baute. Die Handlanger aber, welche Lasten trugen, arbeiteten in der Weise, daß sie mit der einen Hand die Arbeit verrichteten, in der andern aber die Waffe hielten;
18 and [the] to build man: anyone sword his to bind upon loin his and to build and [the] to blow in/on/with trumpet beside me
und von den Bauleuten hatte jeder sein Schwert um die Hüften gegürtet und mauerte so; und der Trompeter stand neben mir.
19 and to say to(wards) [the] noble and to(wards) [the] ruler and to(wards) remainder [the] people [the] work to multiply and broad: wide and we to separate upon [the] wall distant man: anyone from brother: compatriot his
Den Vornehmen aber und Vorstehern und dem übrigen Volk hatte ich die Weisung gegeben: »Das Werk ist groß und weit ausgedehnt, und wir sind auf der Mauer zerstreut, einer von dem andern weit entfernt.
20 in/on/with place which to hear: hear [obj] voice: sound [the] trumpet there [to] to gather to(wards) us God our to fight to/for us
An dem Punkte also, von dem her ihr den Schall der Trompete vernehmen werdet, da müßt ihr euch bei uns sammeln: unser Gott wird für uns kämpfen!«
21 and we to make: do in/on/with work and half their to strengthen: hold in/on/with spear from to ascend: dawn [the] dawn till to come out: come [the] star
So waren wir an dem Werke tätig, und zwar so, daß die eine Hälfte der Leute die Lanzen vom Aufgang der Morgenröte bis zum Erscheinen der Sterne bereit hielt.
22 also in/on/with time [the] he/she/it to say to/for people man: anyone and youth his to lodge in/on/with midst Jerusalem and to be to/for us [the] night custody and [the] day work
Auch befahl ich damals dem Volke: »Jeder soll mit seinen Leuten die Nacht über innerhalb Jerusalems verbleiben, damit sie uns nachts als Wachen und bei Tage als Arbeiter dienen.«
23 and nothing I and brother: compatriot my and youth my and human [the] custody which after me nothing we to strip garment our man: anyone missile his [the] water
Und weder ich, noch meine Brüder, noch meine Leute, noch die Wachmannschaften, die zu meinem Gefolge gehörten, keiner von uns kam jemals aus den Kleidern heraus: ein jeder hatte stets seine Waffe zur Hand.
