മൊട്ടക്കുന്നിന്മേൽ കൊടി ഉയർത്തുക, അവർ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ കവാടങ്ങളിലേക്കു കടക്കാൻ അവരെ ശബ്ദം ഉയർത്തി കൈകാട്ടി വിളിക്കുക.

എന്റെ കോപം നിറവേറ്റാൻ ഞാൻ സജ്ജരാക്കിയ, എന്റെ വിജയത്തിൽ ആഹ്ലാദിക്കുന്നവരായ എന്റെ യോദ്ധാക്കളെ ഞാൻ ആഹ്വാനംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

വലിയൊരു ജനസമൂഹത്തിന്റെ ആരവംപോലെ പർവതങ്ങളിലെ ഘോഷം കേൾക്കുക! രാജ്യങ്ങളും ജനതകളും ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചുകൂടിയതുപോലുള്ള ഒരു മഹാഘോഷം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക! സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ യുദ്ധത്തിനായി സൈന്യത്തെ അണിനിരത്തുന്നു.

അവർ ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്ന്, ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അതിരുകളിൽനിന്നുതന്നെ വരുന്നു— യഹോവയും അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധംചൊരിയുന്ന ആയുധങ്ങളും ദേശത്തെ മുഴുവനും നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായിത്തന്നെ വരുന്നു.

വിലപിക്കുക, യഹോവയുടെ ദിവസം സമീപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സർവശക്തനിൽനിന്നുള്ള സംഹാരംപോലെ അതു വരും.

അതിനാൽ എല്ലാ കൈകളും തളരും, ഏതു മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയവും ഉരുകിപ്പോകും.

അവർ ഭയവിഹ്വലരാകും, സങ്കടവും വേദനയും അവരെ പിടികൂടും; പ്രസവവേദനയിൽ ആയിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീയെപ്പോലെ അവർ വേദനപ്പെടും. ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന മുഖത്തോടെ അവർ അന്ധാളിച്ച് പരസ്പരം തുറിച്ചുനോക്കും.

ഇതാ, യഹോവയുടെ ദിവസം വരുന്നു— ക്രൂരതനിറഞ്ഞ, ക്രോധവും ഭയാനക കോപവും നിറഞ്ഞ ഒരു ദിവസം— ദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കുന്നതിനും അതിലുള്ള പാപികളെ ഉന്മൂലനംചെയ്യുന്നതിനുംതന്നെ.

ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും നക്ഷത്രവ്യൂഹങ്ങളും പ്രകാശം കൊടുക്കുകയില്ല. സൂര്യൻ ഉദയത്തിൽത്തന്നെ ഇരുണ്ടുപോകും, ചന്ദ്രൻ അതിന്റെ പ്രകാശം ചൊരിയുകയുമില്ല.

ഞാൻ ലോകത്തെ അതിന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തവും ദുഷ്ടരെ തങ്ങളുടെ പാപംനിമിത്തവും ശിക്ഷിക്കും. നിഗളികളുടെ ഗർവത്തിനു ഞാൻ അറുതിവരുത്തും, നിഷ്ഠുരരുടെ അഹങ്കാരത്തെ ഞാൻ താഴ്ത്തിക്കളയും.
12 be precious human from pure gold and man from gold Ophir
ഞാൻ മനുഷ്യരെ തങ്കത്തെക്കാളും അവരെ ഓഫീർ തങ്കത്തെക്കാളും ദുർല്ലഭരാക്കും.

അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ആകാശത്തെ നടുക്കും; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ കോപത്താൽ, അവിടത്തെ ഉഗ്രകോപത്തിന്റെ നാളിൽ ഭൂമി സ്വസ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് ഇളകിപ്പോകും.

വേട്ടയാടപ്പെട്ട കലമാൻപോലെയും ഇടയനില്ലാത്ത ആട്ടിൻപറ്റംപോലെയും അവർ ഓരോരുത്തനും തങ്ങളുടെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങും, അവർ സ്വന്തം നാട്ടിലേക്കുതന്നെ ഓടിപ്പോകും.

കണ്ടുകിട്ടുന്നവരെയെല്ലാം കുത്തിക്കൊല്ലും; പിടിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരെല്ലാം വാളിനിരയാകും.

അവരുടെ ശിശുക്കളെപ്പോലും അവരുടെ കൺമുമ്പിൽവെച്ച് അടിച്ചുതകർക്കും; അവരുടെ വീടുകൾ കൊള്ളചെയ്യപ്പെടുകയും ഭാര്യമാർ അതിക്രമത്തിന് ഇരയാകുകയും ചെയ്യും.

രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ ചൂഡാമണിയും ബാബേല്യരുടെ അഭിമാനവും മഹത്ത്വവുമായ ബാബേൽപട്ടണത്തെ, സൊദോമിനെയും ഗൊമോറായെയും തകർത്തതുപോലെ ദൈവം തകർത്തെറിയും.

വന്യമൃഗങ്ങൾ അവിടെ വിശ്രമിക്കും, അവരുടെ വീടുകളിൽ കുറുനരികൾ നിറയും; ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷികൾ അവിടെ പാർക്കും, കാട്ടാടുകൾ അവിടെ നൃത്തംചെയ്യും.

അവരുടെ കെട്ടുറപ്പുള്ള കോട്ടകളിൽ കഴുതപ്പുലികളും അവരുടെ മണിമേടകളിൽ കുറുനരികളും ഓരിയിടും. അവളുടെ സമയം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു, അതിനുള്ള നാളുകൾ നീണ്ടുപോകുകയുമില്ല.
